I dream of this coffee shop and their big colorful mugs! This has been my favorite coffee shop for many years and even though I no longer live in Pittsburgh, it is a must visit every time I come back. This is a cute little coffee shop with a little outdoor patio area as well (and if you're lucky you will get a glimpse of the owners two big dogs). The coffee tastes great and is served in big colorful ceramic mugs.

Big Dog coffee was so cute and delicious. The coffees we got were balanced well and not too sweet or too bitter. Staff was friendly and the location was easy to find. Definitely recommend!

This place is just always a great place to chill, relax and chat with someone. I can't stress enough how cool the outdoor patio is. There was birds out there coming very close and drinking water from a dog bowl, so cool. Owner is the man and takes care of his customers.

I absolutely loved the quant and relaxing feel to this beautiful coffee shop. There are all kinds of coffee choices(macchiotos and lattes etc) along with teas and other drinks. Then they have bagels and breads or more sweet pastries. Then the most wonderful part was the dog treat bucket and you could definitely tell who the regular pup customers were as they went straight to the bucket.

What a lovely and comfy place. Great coffee, oatmeal bar, nice service and soothing music. All round a very enjoyable experience. I will definitely return when in the neighborhood. I recommend stopping by!

I was really excited to try this place especially because they have an oatmeal bar. First the good - nice and cozy spot, friendly staff. Now for the mediocre - I had a latte which was just ok. While the oatmeal bar (the reason I made the trip) had plenty of fresh fruits along with plenty of options for toppings, it was disappointing that oatmeal was barely warm, which is the whole point of oatmeal. Maybe next time I'll ask them to stir it up good and make sure it's hot/warm. In any case, I'll give it another try and hope for the best

Solid chai latte and great summer flavor honey latte. A few blocks over from the main shops in the south side but not a place to miss. Also has a lovely back patio that makes you feel like you've stepped out of your own home (or what I wish my apartment opened up to)!

Visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend. This place is awesome! I love the ambiance created by the eclectic Baron Batch art pieces. I was particularly fascinated by the Mandalorian art piece since my hubby is a Star Wars fan. The place is so cozy and warm on a cold winter day you'll want to just hang out and sip coffee while chillin' out. The service was fast probably less than 5 minute wait. We took our orders to go, but would've love to stay longer if we had time.

Super close to goodwill if you want a coffee and thrifting trip. There is a wide selection of pastries and they are great.

This is by far one of my favorite coffee shops in Pittsburgh. It's a cozy space with a mix of table and soft seating. There is usually a fire going on the fireplace too! They also have a nice patio that you can sit on when the weather is nice. What is probably the coolest part of Big Dog is that they let you bring your dog in when you want to grab coffee and you can sit on the patio with your dog too if you want to stay a little while. They always have a little tin with doggie treats in it too.

I'm a fan of their regular "Big Dog Blend" coffee, but they have great seasonal lattes too that they make with homemade syrups.
