I had a great experience at Berries & Batter. Prompt service, and nice decor, and the food was delicious.
I recommend smoked salmon Benedict with fresh berries, cinnamon roll French toast, and a coffee latte. It feels healthy good meal to me. I'm so happy to share.
Everything came in a big portion compared to the price. I am impressed and definitely will come back. Highly recommended!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rosalyn O.Cypress, TX01812Mar 3, 2024

The good:
- The place is an excellent choice for breakfast or brunch. They have a very varied and balanced menu. Includes omelets, skilled, benefits, pancakes, French toast, crepes, and other healthy choices, for breakfast you name it and they have it.
- the food was very fresh, light, and well portioned. Although for my tastes was a bit bland. They can customize any plate, and the kids menu it's the best,, my nephew loves the Mickey pancakes.
- prices are average for the area and portions most plates are around $12-$17 (those including steak). They have $3 refill on ice tea, coffee, and soft drinks.
- the place is good for small and larger parties, they have booth and table seating. Although it's on the smaller side.
- service was very good, and prompt.
The not so good:
- it gets packed very easily. If you get there after 8:30AM you will likely have to wait.
- parking is very limited, even if you are willing to wait, you may need to park farther away.

Berries and Batter was delicious! I loved that we had, maybe, a 10 minute wait on a Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent. Our waitress checked on us quite often and was very friendly. The decor was fresh and inviting. I had to start by ordering the Pama Margarita. It was reallyyy good. I'm not always a fan of new flavors but my husband enjoyed it as well. For brunch I decided on the Chorizo Benedict's. My husband ordered the regular eggs Benedict, with a side of eggs and bacon lol.. I guess he was hungry. We finished off by ordering a side of the mini pancakes-cheesecake flavor. The chorizo Benedict's were sooo good. I felt bad for my husband and offered him a bite however he wasn't complaining.. he literally ate everything except one piece of bacon. The pancakes were good. I think I would have preferred a different flavor. Overall we had a great experience.

Fabulous Sunday brunch. The ambiance, the food, the staff, all of it! This place was hopping busy but waited maybe 3 minutes to get seated. David took great care of us. We were traveling and found this place on yelp. It was 30 minutes out of our way and I'm here to say it was worth it! I ordered the Cali omelette with grits and mini pancakes for my sides. The icing and powdered sugar on the pancakes was better than a cinnamon roll! My belly is happy and very full. I will be back if I'm ever in the Dallas area again.

As soon as I was seated, I went searching for unflavored half & half. I ended up removing most of the flavored ones to find a couple. It would have been faster if I just flipped the container over since the unflavored half & half were on the bottom. When restaurants fill these containers with flavored cream, it gives the impression their drip coffee needs flavoring to be drinkable.
While waiting for the waiter to return, I was deciding between the omelette and the benedict. When it was time to order, I chose the Alamo omelette because I wanted sourdough toast rather than an english muffin. In hindsight, I should have ordered the other. Initially, all looked good until I picked up a slice. I had to scrape off a large chunk of butter sandwiched between the toast because it was saturated. Seeing partially melted butter on the side of the small plate was not an appealing sight.
The omelette itself was pretty good. There were chorizo pieces in every bite and not overloaded with too many jalapeño slices. The hash browns were okay as well. The top was crispy while the interior was moist and not dry.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Hi Santanu,
We would like to thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it!
The parking lot is under construction, the city will soon make it bigger and there will be plenty of space for all of our guests to park. Meanwhile, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Also, the free mimosa promo is Monday-Friday only, reason why your waitress did not mention it during the weekend. Our bar should open within a month and we will be able to start selling alcohol 7 days/week.
Thank you,
Andrea B.Oct 9, 2021Previous reviewDue to the perennial TX/OU game, I avoided restaurants near Dallas. In past attempts, the parking lot would always be full. So I was surprised to see many open spots on my way north.
I chose the Alamo omelette with hash browns and the mini pancakes as the sides. The omelette was the least favorite. Others may enjoy a large slice with every bite of their omelette. I prefer a smaller ratio of jalapeño to omelette. As a result, the omelette were just okay. What saved this morning's breakfast were the mini pancakes. In previous visits, I chose the Chorizo Benedict. Since it came with an English muffin split in two, I did not have the option to choose pancakes. I thought I was asked if I wanted whipped cream. Instead, the mini pancakes were drizzled with a topping. Next time, I will definitely get the pancakes with the drizzle topping.
Although I got seated immediately, the table was wobbly. If I was not careful, my coffee would spill over. I never saw the bottom of my mug. When it was near empty, either my waitress or another employee would be nearby with a pot of coffee.Jan 3, 2021Previous reviewThe parking is crazy. Many cars were parked on the grass due to the packed parking lot. Not only did the large sanitation bin on the far end block several lots, it prevented an easy u-turn. Drivers should consider letting passengers out to get on the waitlist before finding a spot.
In past experience, some restaurants provided the cream and sugar for my coffee but forgot to provide a spoon. This place provided me the spoon but forgot the cream. Unfortunately, it happened more than once.
Although the place is called Berries & Batter, I got neither on my visit. I ordered the Chorizo Benedict and took another chance with the hashbrowns. When I saw the steak knife served with the benedict, I wished other restaurants provided one to easily cut the English muffin. Overall the dish was great! The juice from the chorizo soaked into the English muffin. The heat of the jalapeño pieces did not overwhelm its flavor. Even before they absorbed some of the yolk, the hash browns were far from bland.
A week-old review mentioned free mimosas were offered. That offer must have expired before the weekend. My waitress never suggested the mimosa, free or otherwise. - Mar 9, 20241 check-in
We wanted to find brunch after going to V/R gaming event that morning and Berries and Batter did not disappoint. Despite it being late in the morning they provided open seating in the bar area and we are glad we did not decide to wait. I forget the server/bartenders name at the bar but despite only working there for 3 weeks he was very knowledgeable on the food and drinks. He made my Fiance one of the best expresso martinis we've ever had and the food recommendations are top tier. I'm doing some school related clinicals in the summer in flower mound and will definitely stop by during my tenure.

Came here one a Saturday around 11. We were notified of a 10-15 minute wait so we opted to sit at the bar. The barman was very hospitable and Knowledgeable despite being relatively new. I ordered the steak skillet which was delicious . I also ordered a capuchino espresso martini which was one of the best I've had! Prices are very reasonable and the decor is very cute. They do not take reservations and you cannot be added to a waitlist before hand. If I'm ever in flower mound again I would definitely return! Only reason for four stars instead of five is because they mixed up my pancakes with the only other couple seated against the bar, mine was supposed to have powdered sugar but came plain. (Pancakes were delicious non the less)

Always busy but always excellent t service and great variety of food. Abigail was an awesome server and recommended the migas to me with the carnitas. I wasn't disappointed. The crepes are always on point and despite the wait times, it's worth it!

I can get after church work two of my friends and their kids. We had to wait about 20 minutes. On the weekends or is a very busy place. Make sure to make reservations.
Upon walking in, it was bright, clean, lively and busy. We were seated and the waiter immediately greeted us and took our drink order while we browse the menu.
I was overwhelmed as many menu items looked delicious.
I had the 2x2x2 while the rest of the table ordered chicken & waffle, kids French toast, and pancakes with berries.
The pancakes were fluffy and yummy. Wished for a little more crunch on the outside. The sausage, chicken sausage and the fried chicken were good. Unfortunately while I was excited about the waffle, it was dense and heavy and the hash brown could use more browning and crispiness.
The service was quick and attentive, staff were friendly, and great atmoaphere for brunch.
I'll definitely want to try other items ans see what's the best here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
