Bass San Diego and John made my dream bass come true. I just went in to find out about the process on ordering a Dingwall. John walked me through the entire thing. Just a down payment and worked with me on the rest. He not only did this but we walked the entire design process together.

There is no way I would have ever imaged a custom build like this on my own. Absolutely blown away with the process from start to finish. They do have a lot of great basses in stock. They will also help you get your own custom bass built. Down to the wood block that it was cut from.

I can not thank John and Chris enough. I can not think John enough. I know that I asked him a million questions along the way. He was always happy to help!

This store is amazing! Great selection of instruments and amps, but what really impressed me was the customer service. All the employees there are top-notch.

I bought a low-end bass off of Craigslist and thought it could use a setup, so I emailed them about scheduling. They said if I could drop it off that day, they could get it back to me the next day. The price quote was great, so I snuck way from work and took my new bass up there.

I was helped by a super-friendly technician (sorry I forgot his name!) who did the setup for me in about 20 minutes while I browsed their shop! That was awesome #1. Awesome #2 is when I went to pay - he only charged me half of what was quoted in the email (remember, that was already a good price). So I bought a tee-shirt and still ended up walking out paying less than the original quote!

Any business that can provide customer service like that deserves your repeat business. I know I'm a customer for life!

I came here for a tune up of an old Warwick I hadn't played in years. I received expert advice, and the staff spent a great deal of time with me to get the right sound/action; they had to troubleshoot some structural/mechanical oddities of my bass and were quite accommodating. Overall very happy with my experience!

I bought a cheap bass guitar to try and learn bass during this quarantine period and thought my bass needed a set up. I dropped it off and picked it up a couple days later, and when I picked up, they were very friendly and even told me I wouldn't have to pay for the setup! I was extremely delighted to know these guys are truly there to help out beginners and I was sent on my merry way with my set up bass! Would definitely recommend for all your guitar needs!

Most painless musical purchase I've made in years was done here. When I came in, they shook my hand and asked my name. Where else do you get that?

Very accommodating and knowledgeable. They have a wide selection of excellent gear. (And also the exact item I came in for.)

So very glad to live within 40 miles of this place, but would drive much farther.

Also they were nice to my lady, who graciously came along.

High end gear + friendly, knowledgeable staff = awesome gem in San Diego. Tucked away in the hills overlooking Sorrento Valley -- definitely make a trek to check out their one of a kind pieces. I'm curious what the insurance bill looks like for this store :)

Best shop for high end boutique basses and guitars, period. George and John are absolutely phenomenal, they provide the friendliest and most knowledgeable customer service for all their instruments and products and make you feel very welcome.
As a bass player, it's very addicting coming to this store. I always want to see what new inventory and amazing basses they have.
I also take all my instruments for set ups and repairs at this shop. Superb service in all regards.

Can't say enough about the uber-professionals here who are incredibly knowlegeable about all things bass! I moved to SD from LA, after 25 years of being a pro bassist there. I'm beyond happy to find a true PRO bass shop right here in San Diego!!!

Killer selection of instruments and gear. But not a very welcoming bunch. Seems like their strength is online sales. In person experience was not what you'd expect.

George really helped me a lot with my guitar. I appreciate his enthusiasm and professional skills.
