I never have a good experience here. I came in because I had recently closed my checking account and my ATM card for my savings account was no longer working. (Tbh I bank elsewhere)
I was told that if I wanted to wait for someone to help me, it would be 15-20 minutes...
Or I could just call the 1800 number and do it myself (and the 1800 number is always a 15 minute wait). Mind you, this was a Thursday at 3:45 pm.
This bank had a greeter, 1-2 tellers and 1-2 other staff that were all busy. This is pretty much the case every time I come here - always a wait and several teller windows closed.
So I leave and just order a new card by myself. Online. On the online banking page that the staff member already had pulled up while I was there. It took me 30 seconds. It took me longer to ask for help at the bank and be denied than to do the task myself (which I didn't even know was an option -- and was not told was an option).
Thanks for nothing. Obviously, if I had known how unhelpful going there in person was, I wouldn't have even bothered.
Honestly, it's always a much better experience at my other bank not even a block away.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kenny C.Brooklyn, NY1062449919744Oct 11, 2017
It's a bank. They have a big lobby and multiple ATM's.

Just a matter of customer service. Of which there is none here. Unfortunately, I live close by and this is the most convenient location for me for the past 5 years. Must be time for a customer service retraining or etiquette review or employee overhaul? They all seem tired and absent. Management, please. Do something.

The tellers inhere are so rude, no kind of customer service representation. They talk amongst themselves while the line builds up. I walked up to a teller because there was no one in line or at her window, she says with a loud tone "I am not open!" then proceeds to speak with the person standing by her side. I'll never do business in this branch, I am even considering closing my account for other reasons.

This was a no frills visit. I needed to get certain denominations of bills, and went to the line with just one person. Went to the window, she asked what I needed, got the necessary bills while I was swiping my debit card. And in 2 minutes, I was in and out. Polite, efficient service. There are a few ATMs also on the side.

3 "bankers" helping zero people just made me sit and wait. Got here early so I could get a new bank card without a line. I've don't this at another branch a few years back and requires all of 2 minutes, instead they stood around chit chatting.

Extremely friendly and patient staff. I was taken care of by manager himself. There was a disgruntled woman in there at the same time and the employees were being so patient and calm as they tried to settle the matter. This is my new bank! They also have a beautiful lobby and an ATM station as well.

whats clear to me is that bank of america is really customer friendly and they make sure that your banking experience is quick and pleasant. the location is 1st ave between 71st and 72nd st which is appealing to me with its clean air conditioned lobby with atms machines and customer service counter and teller service right across with lines that move swiftly. the advancement of atms has made the need to stand on line and deal with a teller not as important as in the past. get cash, make deposits of cash or checks, withdrawals, get balance and other info. if you need any info they are really helpful, i needed a replacement debit card and miss williams took care of it pronto. it seems all bank of america branches that i have visited in the past or present have the same policy, customers are important so dont screw up, overall happy with boa.

The staff here are extremely professional, patient and helpful. I needed a few documents from BoA and had already wasted quite a bit of time and energy at a different branch on the west side by the time I decided to visit this branch. Unlike some other BoA branches, the staff here are knowledgeable and respectful, and more than anything, they actually know what they are doing. I was probably not the most polite customer as I was very frustrated with what had happened at the other branch. But they treated me with respect and patience, and processed my request immediately. If I ever need anything from BoA again, I will go to this branch.

worst most obnoxious banking you can do. continuously creating needless problems - card interruptions, needless password changes, finger print sign in works maybe 1 out of 10 times. hour long wait times, dropped calls w/ no callback. obnoxious fees. repeatedly setting up account alerts that magically disappear. and an ever-changing protocol that always seems to work in their favor. one month its this way - the next month another - but always a $35 fee. i pay 12$ a month in service fees - but what for, i have no idea. they don't send me account alerts, they don't protect me from overdraft fees. i waste so much time dealing with this bank - and their shitty automated phone system is maddening - its impossible to get a rep without jumping through endless hoops and the auto system is clearly lacking and can't understand english - "you want to speak to rep? what about?" i answer, they respond "i don't know what that means" me - so me me through to a representative ...'sure - what about?' - If you can't understand questions - don't Fing ask them!!!!! I would sooner keep my money under my mattress than give it to these fools.
