Bagels!!! Bagels!!! and more Bagels!!!! It all looks so good... how could I ever try them all in one sitting??? You can't ;p
So for brunch I tried the Challah French toast. Pretty good. Thick slices of Challah bread with just the right amount of sweetness to compliment the syrup... yes.... and it was very filling too. FOUR slices! I was full to say the least. Texture of the French toast was almost on point.
I also had the hot chocolate. It was made from a powder, but they put the right amount in! So it didn't just taste like runny hot chocolate... mmmm...
The inside is very nice, and there are a lot of people coming to this place. There is always a crowd. But not too crowded to be overbearing. So it was very nice:)
I would come again to try more of their menu... and their pastries... they looked very good!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 27, 2016
Bagel Towne Deli, I'm not impressed! Located in the plaza off of Traville Gateway, this place offers bagels, hot/deli/salad sandwiches, platters, salads, soup, knish, and even Korean baked pastries that are individually-wrapped. I tried their plain bagel, toasted, with lox spread, as well as a black & white cookie and a rainbow sprinkle cookie. The bagel and the spread were actually pretty disappointing - the bagel was a little smaller in size and thin, and didn't have that nice slight chew that I love. The spread had little bits of lox, but hardly any. Because the spread is a specialty spread, I knew that there would be an upcharge; however, I was just super disappointed in the stinginess of it! There was hardly any on the bagel, much less than the other bagel places in the DC metro area! I already had an uneasy vibe, as the employee that was preparing my order and another patron's seemed to be in a rush to get off her shift T____T Now I know why people get their bagels and spreads to go to do it themselves! While I got the rainbow cookie solely due to its physical appearance, it was just dry and flavorless. The black and white cookie, however, was pretty tasty, as it was thin and the milk and the white chocolate was of a good ratio. There were seats inside for people to dine-in and street parking along the Traville Gateway Drive. I'm glad I was able to try this place out, but won't go back!

I have been to Bageltowne deli in the mornings meeting people and it is a nice friendly neighborhood restaurant. Today I was wowed by a simple gesture. I usually never have more than a cup of coffee. Today I asked for a "small coffee" and after finishing it I was in the mood for another one. I went to the counter and asked for another coffee and paid for it. After I told the owner that they could refill my existing empty cup the owner told me that refills were free. Even after I told her it was Ok to charge me she voided the receipt and gav me my free refill.
This is great service. I thought the gesture was good. They could have just taken my moneyThe owners seem to know the regulars and what they have.
The one time I had bagels they were great tooHelpful 4Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Shervin A.Georgetown, DE3162Feb 2, 2021
Bageltowne deli needs more stars, it's the best deli around town. Been going there since I lived in the area and typing a lot here cause yelp requires me to do so but not much needs to be said. Deserves 5 stars any day. Hope they continue to stay around, staple of Travilah

Let me just say first... being from New York, a deli is everything!! So, if I'm impressed by a deli anywhere other than from my home town, then that says a whole lot about the place!
My coworker has been telling me about BagelTowne for months now, but I haven't had time to run there during lunch until now. Once I finally got the chance to go along with the crew, I was so happy I did!! I felt like I stepped right back into my favorite neighborhood spot on Long Island! So many fresh bagel options, tempting sweets, amazing brunch and lunch choices to the max! I love it! Seriously, I got a little emotional with how homesick I was starting to feel. *sigh* What a great place.
The staff were very nice and patient with me as I walked to the counter with my mouth half open, gawking at the menu. The wait for my food wasn't very long at all. However, we did make it in and out just before the lunch rush, so that helped a great deal.
I ordered my fave... chicken salad on a bagel! Yas! Well kinda. I made the mistake of letting them put "everything" on the sandwich. (Everything includes: lettuce, tomato, mayo and onion.) At the time, I figured, why not? It's my first time here, just try it and see how it goes. Well, I know for next time I'd skip the mayo since there's already mayo in the chicken salad. And I'll definitely skip on the onions. There were waaaay too many onions. I ended up picking them all off. However!! There was a redeemer! The PICKLE!! Yas lawd! *fans face* Omg. It's that garlic half sour pickle that makes everything right! One bite of that and I was totally back home.
So with all that said... I recommend this lovely place! And I will definitely be back. I'm so happy to have a new go-to place for lunch!
Tip:
1. Lunch rush starts around 12:30pm, so plan accordingly.
2. If you're not in love with onions, but want them anyway... be sure to ask them to go light or put them on the side.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Bill G.MD, MD13144May 31, 2019
This was my first time here so I walked in with an open mind.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by there that familiar bagel aroma....but that was all. It open at 7:00 am and it was 7:05. There was one other customer in the store and nobody behind the counter. In about three minutes a Korean lady emerged from the kitchen area, looked at me but didn't utter a word. As quickly as she appeared, she disappeared. Two minutes later a gentleman, I assume was her husband came to the counter and looked me in the eye. No greeting, no affirmation, nothing.. I ordered a Sausage egg and cheese bagel on a onion bagel and a coffee. I had to ask how much I owed. I got the coffee and nothing else. I found sugar on the condiment table but had to ask for creamer.
At this point I was pretty sure that I wasn't in Haifa.
My bagel was delivered to my table, without a spoken word.
The quality:
The bagel was good, the Sausage, Egg and Cheese was (McDonalds worthy ) the coffee average. At least it wasn't in a paper cup.
I doubt I will be backHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Vincent C.Rochester, NY196992128Dec 31, 2015
One of the best place to get Bagel in Rockville, Maryland. The coffee wasn't that great (too much water?), but I didn't care. The "Nova on the run" was great but I didn't get what everyone else got: lettuce, tomatoes, etc... I also had an everything bagel with ham, egg, and cheese. Later I decided to order a blueberry bagel with cream cheese for my trip to NYC that day.
TIp: For takeout, check your order before you leave.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - 111195519Sep 10, 2016
I came in for a quick breakfast before going on a trip this morning. My parents and I all ordered the egg on a bagel, which is pretty reasonably priced at $3.29. Fortunately, the food was done pretty quickly, within five minutes. But, when they came out of the kitchen, I saw the bagels sitting on the counter and the employee was too busy looking at his phone to give us our food. In addition, when we unwrapped the foil, the "egg" was definitely fake egg of some kind. It was spongy and a pale yellow color. Definitely would not recommend!
