Fancied Thai, did a quick Yelp search and found this place.... we started by splitting the dumplings, I went onto the Garlic and Pepper with chicken main and my wife had the pineapple curry with shrimp ... On receiving the food we knew there was too much for us so elected to split the curry which tbh was absolutely epic !
We will certainly return, we'll split a main and have the fried banana next time ... last night we reheated the garlic and paper and if I scored the curry at 11 out of 10 then I would unfortunately score the chicken dish at 6 ... Am glad we split as I wouldn't have been so high on the place without sampling the curry but everywhere has its goto dishes... we will return and v happy to find the place.. !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ginger H.Berkeley, CA1597Apr 9, 2024
service was good, but the food was bland and maybe someone ordered the wrong ingredients but they had no limes or cilantro... instead they used lemon and parsely... which ok but honestly disappointing considering those are staple garnishes for thai cuisine. The portions were big but definely not worth going back for.

Will certainly come back if we are nearby this town. We were visiting sea side and found Baan Thai from yelp. Wanted to give it a try before we drove back to Bay Area. It turned out with delicious food and great service. We also ordered satay chicken and it was juicy and delicious. Didn't get the chance to get the picture before too late.

Tasty pad Thai and pad see ew.
Its probably the best Thai spot you'll find in Seaside as there are no other Thai spots
They do charge $1 more for the no-ice option for Thai Tea, which may or may not be worth it to you.
They close at 8:30PM on weekdays and 9PM Fri Sat.
Baan Thai is closed Sundays like most of the plaza.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 78760815650Mar 1, 2023Updated review
Oh my goodness!!! Absolutely, love this place! The owner June is on site, working hard.
The food is so delicious and relatively healthy. Great prices, with beer and wine available.
Thank you so much!!!Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0Feb 5, 2015Previous reviewReally delicious Thai food! My sister's favorite family owned and operated Thai restaurant. If you have never tried them, the lunch specials are very reasonable and a great experience.

This is by far, the best Thai food on the Peninsula. I usually use a certain curry dish to judge Thai restaurants by, and Baan Thai comes out way ahead of the rest. Their food is top level cuisine at standard fare prices. The staff is always friendly and responsive. Been going here for many years and I hope they stay in business for many more.

I kid you not, this is my absolute favorite Thai place I've ever been to. I came back 3 times in 2 short weeks. Their yellow curry is to die for, and they have a really fun location right next to a pinball game place making it a fun date idea. Highly recommend. Great food, fast service, and generous portions!

Amazing food! I had the Pad Thai. Flavors were great. Creeky back door. All in all good experience!

Ingredients were fresh and hot. Speed was quick.
As for taste, both my pad thai and pad see ew were bland. It lacked salt/soy sauce/fish sauce. It didn't taste like anything just bland rice noodles. Pad thai and Pad see ew are 2 lifelines of Thai food. Can't screw that up.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeannine M.Monterey, CA02Feb 26, 2024
The food is always really good and served hot & on time for to-go orders. This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Monterey Bay Area. I go there for the food & service, not the ambience. The staff has always been nice and attentive.
