Awesome Mannered Canines

Our most recent dog adoption brought a set of challenges we had never encountered, extreme fear being one of the most difficult. At the end of our first session with Brenda we had tools that helped - and after just a few sessions we are much more confident in our ability to help our sweet girl tackle life. If something comes up we're not sure how to handle, Brenda will be our first call. We highly recommend her and will be forever grateful we were lucky enough to find her!

Brenda is of course a great dog trainer. There are many trainers that will tame your dog but Brenda trains with positive reinforcement. NO ELECTRIC tickle, tingle or shock. We can sit here and discuss the pros and the cons of electric reinforcement but I don't want my dogs negatively reinforced for behavior I don't want them to have.

So how does Benda do it? With treats and praise, and believe it or not it works even with the most stubborn dog. Brenda most surely works with the owners to educate them on her philosophy so their dog gets consistent guidance especially when Brenda is not around. That is important because Brenda speaks Dog. So she makes it look easy. So it's important for owners to pay attention during the sessions with Brenda and to buy into her thinking.

Our two Bouviers who have maximum stubborn DNA were terrors as puppies driving us crazy until we found Brenda. Now I won't say they are perfect dogs because they are not. But they are dogs who respond to our instructions and enjoy receiving and giving love. And that is exactly why we have dogs. Kudos to Brenda!!

Brenda is very knowledgeable and in one lesson made a huge difference with my puppies confidence and manners! We learned a few tricks while helping him with his separation anxiety! She is very reasonably priced compared to other places. My puppy hasn't had his full shots and she was able to come to us and train him for almost 2 hours. She used to work with rescue dogs and is very effective with fearful dogs that have anxiety. Even if they don't have anxiety I am sure she is amazing because our pup now has a very different relationship with us after seeing Brenda just one time.

Brenda is, in one word, remarkable! We have a very fearful rescue Silkie, and we were getting fearful ourselves wondering if we'd made a huge mistake adopting him.

After just a few sessions with Brenda, we noticed a big difference in his behavior. And he's improving all the time!

We are confident now because we know how to keep him safe around people and other dogs. We've had many dogs before, and thought we knew everything there was to know...until this sweet little guy. But we really needed Brenda's help. She's there for us and we just can't say enough good things about her!

Brenda is just amazing! Our two little fluff balls were just obnoxious when people came to the house and Brenda knew exactly what to do. Four sessions with her and both the dogs are well on the way to good behavior! Of course, she also trained us on how to work with them. Highly recommended.

We have worked with Brenda both in a private setting and now in her group class. We would recommend her as a trainer for your puppy or dog in either setting. She loves dogs and is very knowledgeable. You can ask her anything, and she is able to teach you the strategies in an easy to comprehend manner. An added plus is how much our puppy loved her in both settings. She has experience in training both large and small dogs and cares for them all no matter their size or needs. She's fun to work with as well! We found Brenda online to help our 7-year-old rescue pitbull Jax with issues of dog reactivity and lunging. Through our 4 sessions, we went from a very scared, timid dog to a dog who could comfortably be in the presence of other dogs and was well-behaved and calm. We addressed numerous other issues and taught him new commands and other skills. Brenda is a good communicator and gives you tasks to work on between lessons. Brenda is professional, skilled, and fun. Don't hesitate to hire her for your training needs.
