It is one of the few cafes in Ktown that is opened pretty late. It closes at 2am.
The cafe has a wide selection of drinks and food. We ordered the ice cream waffle and it was a decent size to share among 3 people and tasted good as well.
It is definitely a casual cafe where you can go do work on your laptop or just hang out with friends. The staff were also extremely friendly.
The cafe has wifi, outlet and restroom.

I had high hopes for Awesome Coffee, given its 4-star rating and the recent raves about their ice cream. The ambience looked cute too. Unfortunately, my experience fell short.

First, the nitrogen ice cream with sea salt caramel I ordered, priced at $8.50, was a disappointment. It resembled something from a diner, with 1-2 small scoops of vanilla and ordinary sea salt caramel sauce. The taste was underwhelming, similar to what I could find at Walmart.

To add to the letdown, my everything bagel with butter took way longer than expected. When I asked, the cashier seemed to have forgotten about it. When it finally arrived, the bagel was barely toasted, and the "butter" seemed more like a spread similar to "I can't believe it's not butter."

Given the price point and the overall lackluster quality of my order, I won't be returning to Awesome Coffee anytime soon. Disappointing, to say the least.

I bought a Vietnamese coffee and tasting was way off. Fresh off the counter right after it was made, Ice was pretty melted, almost gone. Milk on the top looked like it was curdling. I got oat milk, so oat milk that's curdling definitely is not a good sign as it usually has a longer shelf life than dairy.

But the Coffee itself tasted like they were using tap water from the faucet to make the drinks, and not filtered water. It tastes like rusty pipes. Or the coffee itself that they use is just not good.

Also, bathrooms were pretty gross. It's a good place for ppl to come late at night to study. It very much seems like it's popular for students. Not great if you're looking for a good late night coffee fix like I was.

More like a 3.5/5. Cool ambiance inside and quite spacious for studying or hanging out. Lounge area and lots of outlets - they really take care of you if you need a device charged. Obviously reflected in the price however, and drinks aren't the best here. Best things about this place is the amount of seating and its late hours. Awesome Coffee's demographics are students/people that need to get work done.

Sandwiches aren't great, and I feel like the bread would be better toasted. Nothing special - looks like it comes out of a bag instead of bakery bread. I had the vietnamese coffee, and for $6+ it was just disappointing. I should really stop getting stuff like cafe sua da at places that don't otherwise serve vietnamese food, because it barely tasted like vietnamese coffee. It was strong like it should've been, but did not taste great.

Can't comment on the food, but due to how well-suited they are for a couple hours of getting something done, I will be back to try more of their menu. If sandwiches and ice cream aren't your speed, it's conveniently located in a plaza with lots of other food options.

Great place to work late! Waffle affogato was okay but I thought it would be different I think I was expecting something more special. The waffle itself was good and bet they're other waffle things are better so would try those next time! There's a good amount of seating and it gets full the later and night you go. But a good ambiance for working out of the house and the service friendly but not fast!

Just got rid of this place from my bookmark. Worst Study Cafe I've ever been to. With no WIFi access. The cafe workers don't even care. I don't think this is just one occasion that they don't have no wifi. Waited for 30 min to be connected since I was told that they will reset the modem or something. Well they don't really care about the WiFi I guess.
You can think of this place like cafeteria level of interior and drink. The pictures on yelp looks great, however, furniture are so dirty and worn out with tons of hair oil residue. Tables are so sticky and many of them are temporary tables you can find at local Costco shops. I wouldn't recommend this place to you yelpers.

      Perfect study spot!!
Tried the BLT ($10) and it was amazing, highly recommend! The chai I heard is also very good
The cafe's layout is well designed! The comfortable tables and chairs make working very productive, and it's pretty quiet overall!

I've been a regular customer here for four months. The heart and soul of this place are undoubtedly the barista girls, excellent coffee and friendly conversation, especially the Blonde girl is great, beautiful and friendly, one day I will marry her!
Jokes aside, the coffee shop is often too hot, especially during the day, heats up pretty quick, even tho A/C is on, it's still hot inside. Another big issue is the restroom lock, which you cannot lock from the inside and pretty much anyone can just come in, posing a privacy issue. And lastly the internet issue, which has to be good, since majority of people come to work here. While I enjoy the coffee and the vibe, addressing these concerns could significantly improve the experience.

This place was fully open and operational on Jan. 1st no less! And they even close late! With everything else in New Year's Day closing sooner than expected, this was a nice, refreshing place to come, do some light reading, work on one's laptop and eat. The attention from the girl that works till 6:30pm was top-notch. The girl that replaced her was less than enthusiastic, but can't say I blame her; she does, after all, work the closing shift till 2am, so definitely cutting her some slack in that department. The seating was generous, the ambiance was welcoming and cozy and both the drink and the snack I tried were delicious. Definitely a highly-recommended place in the west side of Koreatown.

(Snacked 08/04/23 FR @1:30pm): Because I don't drink coffee, I may never know how awesome their bold self-proclamation namesake is!

I came across Awesome Coffee purely because of the name as a place to meet a prospective tenant for a vacancy at my family's nearby Koreatown apartment building. Since coffee was off the table, was there anything else I would find awesome here!?

      PURCHASE
Large Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4.25): Because the food options were slim pickings at this time, by default I went with this to snack on. I couldn't tell whether or not it was baked in-house or purchased elsewhere. It had a nice thickness, a decent amount of chocolate chips, and a snowing of powdered sugar on top. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't anything special.

16floz Iced Matcha Latte ($4.75): This was an Incredible Hulk green-colored drink with the matcha flavor present throughout from start to finish. I felt somewhat healthy as I slowly sipped this cold drink.

16floz Iced Matcha Lemonade ($6.50): I treated the person I was meeting with to this drink. Unfortunately, I was unable to try it, but it had a rich green color and looked quite refreshing especially on this particular hot day.

16floz Iced Blood Rose ($6.00): The aroma was undeniably floral with roses and lavender while the flavor was as if I had a bouquet in my mouth. With a hint of lemonade and the waft of an older woman's perfume, this drink on ice helped soothe the hot weather. I honestly wasn't sure whether or not the floating petals were edible (I ate some with no ill effects), but they made the drink look pretty and serene. It was nice, but this was a one-and-done for me https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Q21BJnNxPusvRGCN4i0l7A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw.

      SERVICE
Initially, I was immediately greeted by a lone woman behind the order counter who robotically took my order. Several minutes later, she called out your order instead of your name (actually, you never provided your name), and placed it in the pick up counter area. I found this a bit difficult because I'm certain other customers have ordered the same thing hence the potential for confusion. Case in point, I actually grabbed the wrong drink and started drinking it because I thought it was mine. Once we were done with our meeting, I wasn't sure if you left the items on the table or brought them back to the counter (I brought them to the counter). Otherwise, all was pretty straightforward.

      PARKING (FREE)
Located within the Wilshire Gramercy Strip Mall, they shared a tight medium-sized parking lot (I believe there was also a backside parking lot or at least that was where I parked for the hour-plus I was there) with several businesses as was the case with most businesses in Koreatown. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of time-limited spots along the main drag of Wilshire Blvd. and all surrounding streets. Just make sure to carefully read any and all posted signs - 'nuff said.

      ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE
Situated on the second floor, it had a surprisingly spacious long interior with an eclectic display of several chandeliers, a faux library nook with leather chairs, an array of chairs, tables, and a long seating bar along the windows. It appeared nearly everyone was on their respective laptop. Everything else was clean and very minimal. Ample natural lighting came through the many large front glass wall windows and doors while electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any TVs, while smooth jazzy covers of current songs played in the background.

      ATTIRE
Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops.

      OVERALL
Generally speaking, Awesome Coffee and its kitschy atmosphere was fine, but there wasn't anything specific that would bring me back for more. Again, I didn't drink coffee, minimal drink/food menu options (I saw pictures of creative food on their Yelp page but none at the business), relatively pricey, and parking could be an issue. On the bright side... I really liked the music playlist, it was chill, and the service was adequate. Plus, I loved to support any small business whenever possible. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $24.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...
