Aspire Roxbury Apartments

Decent apartment that's well maintained for the most part. Had some hiccups during move-in and some minor miscommunication regarding certain policies but I'd say I enjoyed my time here.

while living here is great the dog park needs work. The ground is a Neiva with the payment and they're way too many rocks and not enough grass. Please be careful at the dog park.

Your apts are under section 8 listing. Update your website. False advertising and a waste of time!

This place seems ok at first. It's spacious and is a nicer apartment complex. BUT the office is awful. Angel and Victoria are horrible at communicating and doing their job. More than three times now they have completely just not done what they said they would do. Today I had maintenance knocking on my door saying turn in my keys that I'm suppose to be out. I showed my signed paper saying my move out date is 9-29-23, not 8-29-23. I was told rudely to turn my keys in my "time is up here".
I went to the office to find Angel and Victoria talking abojt how they entered it wrong in the system and blah blah blah. More excuses. It's not worth the rent price. Not to mention cars get broken and stolen here on the regular! Look it up it's on the news. They also deny that but charge for "luxury living". Claim they call us when I have no missed calls from them. Dont rent here! Go across the street. The attitude from Angel and Victoria is ridiculous when it's them not doing their job!!!

We honestly really loved living here and I honestly wish we hadn't moved! I have shed many tears over missing the apartment we had here. With how spacious and nice it was, it was very reasonably priced. I have searched high and low and couldn't find a unit as large and as nice for the same price. Everyone who visited us was blown away by how incredibly spacious and beautiful our apartment was. We had very few complaints over our time here and only wish it was in a nicer part of town. We ended up moving into a smaller, and cheaper apartment, in a nicer area, but have really missed living here.

The complex its self feels very safe, and I walked frequently to the shops across the street. All of the employees were always so kind and helpful. They all did their best to address the rare issues we had. Crystal is so sweet and often went above and beyond to help us out. Luckily we didn't have to call for maintenance often, but any time we did, the issue was resolved quickly by one of the friendly guys. All of the maintenance guys there are so kind and friendly, and really seem to care about the upkeep of the complex which I really appreciated so much.

The walk in closets are so generous in size, and I loved how wide and deep our bathtubs were. We were on the second floor, and I am very vigilant about keeping things clean, but we rarely saw many bugs.

Our first year living in the apartment we never heard a soul living around us. I often wondered if we had neighbors at all! It was truly so quiet. Our second year, someone, and I could never figure out who it was, moved in above us with what seemed like a pack of dogs. It sounded like they have no less than 4 yappy little dogs that barked insistently. But this comes with living in an apartment, and luckily we never heard loud music or other serious loud disturbances.

I will say that the longer we lived here, the less we enjoyed the neighbors we did have. Towards our end of the time here we frequently would smell pot outside, usually after 10 pm but sometimes in the morning too. There was a time we had began smelling it in our apartment, but couldn't peg down who was the culprit. We called the courtesy security officer. He was very friendly and seemed to have a good idea of who could be the issue. While we still smelled it rather frequently outside we never again smelled it inside.

We moved here from DC and were able to sign a lease and move in the very next day. We loved how central of a location this complex was, and made it so easy to explore the fun city of San Antonio. It seemed that everything was about a 15 minute drive to us. We visited the downtown Pearl farmers market nearly every weekend, only 15 minutes away! 3 great shopping malls, all within 15 minutes (but don't shop at the Ingram mall... hahaha). Friends and family came to visit often but picking them up was a breeze as we could usually be there in as little as 12 minutes! It was very easy for my hubby to get to work at Lackland, thankfully going in the opposite direction of rush hour traffic and could often be at work within 15 minutes. But the stores in the immediate area are not ideal. I usually drove out of my way to grocery shop in nicer areas where you do not have to ask an employee to unlock the make up for you hahaha....

While we wished there had been more available parking, we didn't have major issues and only had a hard time finding parking if we had been out late at night. If you have an issue, call the office and it will be promptly dealt with!

We really would have lived here far longer had it been in a nicer part of town, but we are glad to be saving money, and in a nicer part of town. While I don't miss seeing all the hobo camps in the trees along the nearby greenway.... I do really miss the home we had here and never felt uneasy within our home or the complex. I do feel like the prices are very fair given the area and how nice the apartments are and would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice apartment in a very central area.

The Staff is informative and helpful. The maintenance guys here are responsive, professional, and polite.

I have really loved living here for the past several years. The apartments are spacious as some of the other tenants have noted. Maintenance is amazing and a lot of the time my issues are resolved same day. The only real issue is parking. Sometimes it's hard to find a spot close to your building but I figure this is a small price to pay for a nice apt. Visitors have noted how nice the bathrooms are and I agree. Very spacious. Noise is not a problem either as I live in a 1b1b I have neighbors on all sides and very rarely hear any noise. I'm thinking the nice high ceilings help with that. The location is close to many things such as the mall and small shops. Overall I'd recommend these apartments to anyone! Also I wanted to make it clear that I am making this review because I really have loved this place and not for some incentive.

Hello. My name is Michelle and I lived at Alta Roxbury for over 4 years. I just wanted to say that this complex has been the best place to live. The atmosphere and landscape is comfortable, has many amenities and the grounds are kept extremely cleaned and presentable.

I would like to give two special recognitions to the staff. First, for Juan who has always been helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He's an awesome representation of professionalism, dedication to customer service and a commitment to excellence. Second, for the best complex maintenance man ever, Willie. He's an expert in his field that takes pride in fixing work orders in a timely manner and helps keep the grounds of the complex looking fabulous. He also is an awesome representation of professionalism, dedication to service and a commitment to excellence that is unmatched. They both are included in the reasons why I have lived here so long.

Truly, all the staff also do a great job and I know that will continue for any current and future residents of this awesome community. Have a great day!

** This Review is based on my 5-Year Residency at Alta Roxbury**

As one of the Original tenants at Alta Roxbury, I depart after 5 years, giving the complex 4-stars.
The first 2-years this was a 5-star complex, however, the Quality of the Residences I've seen at the pool, over crowded parking, lack of security on the premise and towing, leaves this residence at 4-stars.

You have to consider that this apartment is on the NW side of town and a complex of this nature is normally located only on the far North sides!

It also seems however, that a lot of the South & West sides of SA have moved in, to our dismay...lol, or maybe they've just taken over our pool.

The property management has changed 3-times in 5 years. All have been great. I would recommend a few reconsider their laissez-faire dress code ;)
Since then, the 24-hour gym and pool changed to a 10pm curfew.

There is no longer a security patrol car on property. If you own a bike, get a garage! We are in a gated community, however, there are break-ins with Section 8 apartments surrounding us.

You will want to avoid the pool on the weekends as well: Noting non-resident guests and visitors overcrowding and trashing the pool. I don't appreciate guests swimming in street clothes either! How vile!

We live(d) in the largest 3-bedroom, retailing $1600 a month, with valet waste, water, sewage about $1700. We also rented 2-car ports and 2-garages. That comes to $1800 a month. After electricity and ATT uverse $2000 a month. No problem for us. Just a married couple with two toddlers.

However, if you have 3-6 neighbors trying to split the rent and the rent isn't based on one salary (minimum of $3000 a month gross per-person), then the depreciation factor sets in unfortunately, but, I've personally seen rowdy renters get booted, thank God!

The apartments are amazing, spacious, and they were designed for luxury family living! Remember, these are not condos ;) Granite counter tops, deep sinks, wooden blinds, whirlpool appliances...I could go on!

And the maintenance is 'Amazing!'

All-in-all, this is a great complex to live in, especially if you want to be located close to all the major highways.

The staff is fair! As a great tenant, they were always kind and friendly to my family!

We have been living here for about 1.5 years and it has been really great. The apartments are in a great location, and near the shopping strip that has everything we need! I love to pick up some wine at Spec's before I get home. The gym is small but has a good amount of equipment. The pool is really nice but is kind of strict with a limit of guest allowed which sucks. The guest parking is ridiculously low I wish they had more guest parking bc they put violation-stickers on everyone who parks with out a pass. But I can live with that I guess it makes it safer. This place i would say is mainly young professionals who choose dogs over kids. (Very dog friendly) There are families but I would say more dogs than kids.Maintenance is fast and staff is friendly. Very safe I have yet to see cops here I hope I didn't jinx it. Overall nice spot.
