Armstrong McCall is the Best Friend to the Beauty Professionals in Mobile and surrounding areas and has been for the 25 years I've shopped with them. Their location off Lakeside Drive has more product lines than ever. As the sign on the door says Licensed Cosmetologist Only. The Ladies that work there are very knowledgeable and they don't allow the unlicensed to shop there. If your new in town have the courtesy to show them your license .

They are the Best for keeping all things stocked , quick delivery, very friendly , and prices are awesome ! Being using them 25 years plus ‼

I have shopped there off and on for years. It seems the staff is not very helpful or friendly unless you are a regular customer. They don't seem to want to leave from behind the counter to help. Sometimes, they can be helpful, but not much.

For the longest time this has been one of the only places that carries anything and everything you could need as a professional. I used to purchase everything from this location when I worked at a previous spa. I now run a much larger spa and refuse to go in to this Mobile location. My terrible experience happened years ago and I never left a review. I called the owner of the store to report to him what actually happened and how I was treated in the store. He didn't seem to care at all about the way the desk woman treated me. So I decided to just never go back. But through the year I have shared my experience with friends in the industry and each time I get the same response. Apparently every person in the beauty industry in Mobile just knows not to use them because of the terrible way the employees treat customers. So I guess this review is really for all of my co workers and friends who also did not leave a review but have just quietly left and now shop online. Maybe they have better employees now but I still won't go back.

Wish I could give negative stars! The first time I ever went to Armstrong was located in Montgomery when I first started school, the associates ther were very FRIENDLY. When I was in Birmingham I visited CosmoProf, once again very FRIENDLY! Been licensed almost a year now and have SHOPPED at this location multiple times. Every time I come in I this short lady with long curly hair is always rude to me but today she went over the top when she yelled at at me! "Can I help you ma'am, you do know this is for license professionals only?!!" Her exact words!! And her toned startled me so that my hands started to tremble and the worst part about it when I tried to make a complaint to the district manager, he told me she did not yell that was just making sure I had a license!! How would you know and you were not even there! And not to mention of course you are going to protect your family when you know they are in the wrong! You know if you are going to carry a great name like Armstrong McCall you should family and business separate, before you destroy a great name. One thing is for sure I will not purchase from Armstrong McCall, Sally's, CosmoProf or Any names associate with the company until this matter is addressed properly! I feel this issue is associated with race. Like I stated above I have been treated poorly many times by this same individual!
