They have their business sign up on Clement between 32nd Ave and 33rd Ave. I'm not sure when they will be open for business.

FYI they moved to the Richmond district (YAY) under the name "Anh Hong".
This restaurant specializes in Bo 7 Mon aka 7 Courses of Beef.
Yes, you really do get 7 courses of beef:
1. Beef Salad - Light and refreshing. Really good and tasty. Feel free to add more nuoc mam if you want it more flavorful / salty
2. Beef Fondue - This is where the fun begins and all the cool sides and condiments come out. Small pot of bowling vinegar + onions to quickly dip thinly sliced beef into and cook. You'll need to make your own spring roll with the cooked meat + all the sides they givev you and dip it into the sauce given to you. THE BROWN ONE IS THE LEGIT ONE. SO good.
3. A plate of 4 different beef sausages - Also can be used to make spring rolls with or eat it by itself.
4. Rice Porridge with Beef - Something light and warm to end the meal with.
They're a small mom and pops restaurant and can get super busy. I've always loved going here and look forward to trying out their new location!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 12, 2021
I took my father here when he visited me in SF because I wanted to do something special yet familiar.
It felt like we were transported back to Vietnam. The service was curt and to-the-point, as to be expected from most Vietnamese places. The owner was very helpful in knowing how much we should order for our group of 4.
We started with the beef carpaccio which was rare, thinly sliced beef marinated in sweet vinegar and a central salad (called gỏi).
We then had the grilled lamb chops which is the one dish that stood out the most to me. They were done to tender perfection. And would get 2 portions for a group of 4- you won't regret it.
For the next few dishes, I chose a select few courses from the "Bo 7 mon" which translates to 7 courses of beef, which is eaten on special occasions in Vietnam. The bo la lot was amazing- wrapped in leaves, juicy, flavorful, and sweet-forward. The fondue I thought could be improved upon as the beef rounds were tough even when cooked in the fondue for several seconds- but nonetheless it's an experience to wrap the beef and make your own fresh spring rolls. They give AMPLE lettuce and other herbs just like in Vietnam.
Next we had the jumbo water shrimp and banh hoi which is a special kind of noodle comprised of flattened vermicelli. The banh hoi itself was not as fresh as were the water shrimp. I would probably not get this again given that everything else superseded in quality.
Last but certainly not least was the beef porridge. I am a sucker for homey soups and this reminded me of home. It was wonderful way to round out the meal.
All in all, Anh Hong really delivered and we had a lot of fun eating here. Get some alcohol with your meal and you won't regret it! We ended up making friends with the table next to us!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 4, 2020
Pre-pandemic review.
I was introduced to this place by a Vietnamese friend and initially when I heard 7 courses of beef, I was thinking that I would be stuffed beyond imagination. However, some of the dishes involve thinly-sliced beef so it was okay. The 2 of us definitely had some trouble finishing the food, but it was an experience I really enjoyed.
The food comes out incredibly quickly and unfortunately my friend just slammed into the food so I barely got any pictures. Good idea because the food can cool down quickly if you don't eat fast enough during the cold winter day. The most notable dishes for me in the 7 course beef was the beef porridge, the beef marinated with lemongrass and onion, and the platter that is 3 courses on one plate - beef pate, beef sausage, and beef wrapped in Hawaiian lot leaf. We also ordered the charbroiled shrimp wrapping sugarcane, which is always delicious and a familiar dish I've seen at other Vietnamese restaurants.
Overall, I'd like to come back to not have a rushed experience because I was taken aback by the rapid service and also totally confused thinking that there would be 7 separate plates, but instead some of the beef courses are combined in one plate and the beef salad actually barely has any beef on it.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 24, 2021
Indoor dining 4/24/2021. We love this place because you can make your own spring rolls with their provided rice papers. Tonight we had their shrimp rolls on sugar cane, beef carpaccio, huge water prawns, rice beef soup, various sausages. Everything had that authentic Vietnamese flavor. Everyone in my party loved the food and service. Great job everyone at Anh Hong Bo 7 Mon.

I've never had 7 courses of beef. When a friend decided to have a birthday dinner here, I was excited. Until I realized I had commited to the pescatarian life for a bit. It didn't matter. I was still here to have a good time. (And they have seafood options.) I believe we had a reservation for around 6:30pm for a party of five on Thursday, April 11th. Unfortunately the bday boy was running late, so we called ahead and they were super accommodating. Didn't end up sitting down for dinner until 7:15pm.

(We also got Banh Khot: crispy mini pancakes and some Grilled Tiger Prawns, but I couldn't find them on the current online menu for price reference.)
So I took part in the shrimp salad, shrimp rolls, the grilled shrimp and squid, the tiger prawns, and of course the soju! I actually adore making rolls with lots of veggies and a little protein, so this was perfect for me. They provided us with a lot of vegetables. And I loved the sauce options. I believe they gave us shrimp paste, hot sauce, and fish sauce. I love my dipping sauce fishy, stinky and super spicy, so I used all three. We all actually used so much hot sauce, we had to keep asking for more. They were very attentive and brought the sauces out quickly.
Our table had a fair amount of soju (well, three of us at least), so we were all having a great time. (I think we were that loud party table.) The staff never made us feel unwelcomed or rushed, so I did appreciate that. We had told them we were here for a birthday, so they were very sweet.
Who knew a 7 course beef spot would be a fun bday dinner?Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - Nov 24, 2019
They were packed on a Saturday night around 7:00, and we reserved a table for 9, but it we ended up having 4 more people join. Even though they were pretty busy, they swiftly accommodated our larger party.
They were fast to get drinks out and all the food was really good. We did the seven course beef which was delicious.
I've grown up going to Anh Hong, and I love myself some delicious rice porridge so I'm pretty biased, but my favorite thing here is the Beef Porridge and I am always so thrilled to eat it at the end of our meal.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 27, 2019
We came for the 7 course beef. We had to brave our way to the TL just for this. Watching out for needles and human poop. It's unfortunate but at least the food is good so that makes it a little worth it. I enjoyed the food at this restaurant but I still prefer the one in Milpitas.
I just want to point out. When you go to an authentic Asian restaurant, service won't be on par. Sorry but don't expect them to cater to you like American restaurants. Their goal is to deliver good authentic food. Come for the food not service.
We came because I wanted to show my colleague Vietnamese 7 course beef.
In the 7 course beef, it includes:
1) beef salad
2)there is beef carpaccio/dipped in the fondue type of pot
3)beef in betel leaf ( my favorite) it's comfort food.
4)grilled onion beef
5)beef sausage roll?
6)beef pate-ish
7)beef porridge
Pace yourself folks. It can be deceiving. Don't go ham at the beginning, wait till the plate of assorted beef comes out and continue to make your spring rolls. The beef can be heavy and fill you up fast so slowly building up is key.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Sep 24, 2018
I have been coming here for what seems like a decade which is actually pretty close to being true. I love 7 Course Beef and this is one of the best in the Bay Area to enjoy this Vietnamese speciality. They're located on Geary Street in the Lower Nob area and parking can be easy or quite challenging depending on when you come.
My dishes I love to order the most are the Bo Nuong La Lot(leaf wrapped beef), the Bo Nuong Sa(grilled beef with lemongrass and onions), and the Bo Nhung Dam(raw tenderloin beef you cook at your table). All are authentic and really hit the spot if you enjoy this cuisine.
There can be a wait during the busy weekend dinner times as you would expect. They do take reservations so you might want to consider doing so in advance. Service is solid and I always leave this restaurant with a smile on my face.Helpful 18Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - 1021631339Dec 28, 2018
I absolutely love this place. If you're looking for some authentic Vietnamese food involving rice wraps, this is the place to go. You would definitely need to not be afraid of getting your hands dirty because it's a hands-on type of meal.
Every time I come, I always get the bo tai chanh (also known as beef carpaccio). It is basically thinly sliced raw beef covered in a special household like sauce, topped with a refreshing salad. The lime taste perfectly paired with fresh beef and absolutely divine. It always brings me back for more to the point where I would never miss ordering that dish.
Going back to the concept of this restaurant, my favorite is grabbing different meat dishes ( which range from steamed meat to grilled technics) and pairing that which rice paper and vegetables to make your own spring roll. If you're unsure of how to do wrap your roll, definitely do not be shy and ask the staff, they're very willing to help teach you how to. Out of all the different meats, my favorite is the bo luc lac, also known as beef wrapped in banana leaf. (I have to tell you that the dish could be drenched in oil sometimes, but despite that it's very flavorful and delicious). My family also really enjoys the Chao Tom (which is shrimp rolls wrapped on sugar cane).
I would definitely recommend anyone to try this delicious Vietnamese food restaurant. It is located in a more 'sketchy' area of SF but definitely do not be scared and avoid this place. If you're looking to expand your taste buds and knowledge of Vietnamese food go to Anh Hong! They don't have your typical Pho noodle soup.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Wine Advocate A.San Francisco, CA06566Jul 21, 2020
Been here a number of times and it's NEVER disappointing, and always an enthralling dining experience. With their Superb food, service, and a great wine selection, Anh Hong seriously puts a lot of restaurants to shame. The head chef and owner, Kent is a genius and cooks some of the best dishes I've had the honor to feast on. The seven course is a must and will satisfy any foodie.
Anh Hong is only doing takeout from 4pm-7pm Wednesday through Monday due to the shelter in place, but even their takeout is amazing.
I can't wait to order again tomorrow for a great family dinner.
And soon as indoor dining is open, I'll be the first person in line. It's that amazing!!! If you've never ordered from them, check it out! And you're welcome.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
