Amity Flats is a perfect home base for your exploration of the world class wineries of the Willamette Valley. With elevator or stairway access, the five Flats are on the third (top) floor of a beautifully-restored, historic building in tiny, downtown Amity, Oregon. The Flats combine local history with modern comforts and amenities. Well-equipped kitchenettes, luxurious beds and tasteful decorations nestle within exposed-brick walls and tall, open-beam ceilings. Powered by a state-of-the-art solar system on top of the building, the units range in size from a standard hotel-type room to a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite. A short walk or bike ride will bring you to several, local wine tasting rooms (The Bramble, serving fine wine, local beer, cider and gourmet small plates, is just downstairs). Complimentary items include gourmet coffee and tea, locally-made fudge and delicious morning muffins. Fine local wine available in rooms for purchase. Free private parking and a secure, indoor storage area for bicycles. Bicycles available for hourly or daily rent with advance notice. Optional breakfast, picnic or wine/cheese baskets may be pre-ordered.

This building, constructed in 1905, was originally a Masonic Temple. Over the years it fell into disrepair, but the new owners of the building restored it to beyond its former glory and turned it into an absolute gem. It is centrally located in the charming town of Amity, with a handful of fun places to dine within walking distance.
Our room was very spacious and cozy with beautiful hardwood floors and an exposed brick wall. It had a decked out kitchenette, a very nice bathroom, king size bed, furniture and a dining room table. They did such an excellent job of furnishing and decorating the room that it feels like an upscale condominium with old and new school flare. The walls must be thick because we didn't hear a peep out of any of our neighbors throughout the entire weekend. Not to mention the place was spotless. It's very evident the owners pay very close attention to detail.
Outside our room the hallway is very well appointed with art and warm lighting, and a lift to haul your luggage to your floor. Outside there is a rooftop patio with a barbecue grill, ping-pong table and tables with chairs. They even have a locked area below for your mountain bike, if you bring one along.
Lastly, Barb the owner is especially accessible- she answered all of my calls. She was very pleasant, helpful and polite, offered suggestions on local eateries, and made our stay just that much more enjoyable. She's better than any Airbnb host we've had, and we travel a ton.
I highly recommend this hotel. Lodging here is less expensive than the Red Lion (the Red Lion!) in McMinnville, which we could not believe. Talk about bang for your buck. We are most definitely going back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob L.San Francisco, CA77138Oct 17, 2022
Good location for exploring South Willamette Valley wine country. Spacious room, high ceilings, nice, efficient kitchn, good noise insulation from outside 99 traffic, clean, nicely appointed and reasonably priced. Good responsiveness from ownership on small needs like additional hangers and towels. Would stay again.

First time Visiting Oregon. I was mainly in McMinnville but I was so glad I chose to stay at Amity Flats. The room was amazing felt like home. Barb was very kind and so helpful with anything that I needed. The place is quiet and filled with nice little eating spots around it. I would highly recommend Amity Flats for your next stay. I will definitely be going back and staying there again. Thank you Amity flats staff for the warm welcome.

The location was wonderful and the room itself was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the owners were friendly and helpful when I asked for guidance with planning our visit.
The only issue really was the sound. We could hear everything in the hallway and between rooms, but being that it is a restored building, that may be impossible to correct.
We would not hesitate to return to Amity Flats!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Miles B.San Clemente, CA975214May 7, 2018
It's as good as the 5 star Yelp reviews suggest!!!!
My plans for a friend's birthday took a left-turn when I realized Spirit Mountain's hotel was sold out the night of the concert I was taking him to. The silver lining was finding Amity Flats! We rented the Jory and Willakenzie rooms and it was exactly as advertised: great service from booking to follow-up, impeccably clean and new rooms and a really, really unique experience.
The great weekend started with the drive to Amity. Driving there in separate cars, both of us had the same reaction: wow - what a nice scenic drive through the country! We had never been to the tiny town of Amity, but it was quite charming and the restored building that Amity Flats is part of is the diamond that jumped out at us as we arrived.
Our room was Jory and was everything we'd want in a room - quiet, private and comfortable, but also gave us some remodeling ideas for our own home! Our friend was in Willakenzie, which was equally as charming.
Thank you, Barbara, for creating such a special place and being such a great hostess. We will be back!
As a side note, if you're headed to Spirit Mountain for an event, it is about 18 miles away. The Lyft ride there was easy and not too expensive. You should make plans in advance for the return ride as Uber and Lyft don't tend to service the casino....Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jordan F.La Mesa, CA058Jul 16, 2017
Wow. Where to begin!?! My boyfriend and I are from Los Angeles CA and my dear friend had her wedding in Sheridan, OR on July 1st 2017. We made the drive due to the camping adventure to follow the wedding and were looking for a nice, comfortable accommodation close to the ceremony location. WE ABSOLUTELY MADE THE BEST DECISION with Amity Flats.
The moment we arrived we were greeted by the manager, Alex. He was incredibly kind and accommodating to us Californians! We stayed in the flat Nekia and we're thrilled when we walked in. So beautiful and you could feel the effort and love put into creating this space.
We we're greeted with wine, fresh cherries, honey, and fresh eggs and a special soft boiled egg recipe from the owners. It was AMAZING! must try!
Thank you for the wonderful stay and we will absolutely be back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Francesca M.Seattle, WA12165Aug 25, 2017
If you are exploring Oregon wine country, I highly recommend this place. The units are fantastic, beautiful, spacious, with very modern amenities in an historic building. The Nekia has a kitchen with utensils, cookware, and dinner ware. The building also has a rooftop area with a gas grill, tables, and table tennis. Of course, wine and beer are just steps away.
If traveling with kids, the Nekia has a pull out twin bed and the owners can also provide rollaway beds.
Got bikes? The building has secure bike storage.
Wi-Fi is complimentary.
The owners, Barb and Rob, are so wonderful and will make your stay special. In our room we found gourmet coffee, fudge and other treats, as well as wine they produce.
We loved staying here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melissa A.Portland, OR0344Mar 20, 2019
Really awesome place, bigger than expected with a full functioning kitchen! The space was clean and comfy and Barb was super communicative. The coupons left in the room for local joints were a surprise perk! The town of Amity does roll up early so make sure to get an early dinner in if you are a late eater like me!
We will be back next time we are in wine country :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mary M.Chandler, AZ4125Aug 27, 2018
I loved staying here. We booked Nekia for 3 nights. The room was impeccable. Clean, modern and beautiful.
Bed and linens very comfortable. Lovely wooden floors and doors. Huge TV. All the supplies you need to have a working kitchen..,induction stove top, large microwave, Bodum coffee press and locally roasted coffee. Fresh cherry tomatoes, a piece of fudge and a bottle of wine greeted us. Brita in the fridge. Thank you so much and we will be back next year!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Elsa C.Bozeman, MT1835Apr 4, 2018
This is the best possible place you could stay in these parts. Exceptional attention to detail, incredibly comfortable, amazing and thoughtfully decorated space with beautiful tall ceilings, brick walls, a great little kitchen area and the nicest people to work with. Our luggage was lost and the owner offered to bring me up some clothes to borrow! They arrived on time but the offer meant a lot. The bottle of wine and the local chocolate and the whole experience was a nurturing as I could have possibly hoped for.
My kiddos loved the muffins and the netflix. You just can' go wrong!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
