I don't know why there are mixed reviews here. Store manager Ryan was fabulous...responsive on the phone, helpful with getting a coupon applied, really quick to pull my alternator order off the shelf and get me on my way.

I would be weary about this place. If I were a regional manager, I'd send some friends here to see how they are treated. Vert rude staff who are reluctant to help in many cases. They have shady price match and inconsistent return policies where they tell you they price match and then come up with reasons not to, or say they can't process a return for bogus reasons like only the general manager can prices a return and he's not here tonight, come tomorrow he may be here.

Worst costumer service, I called to cancel an order I made online of 2 batteries for my Ford F-250, to this store location by mistake, since I was trying to do it in my area.
The guy on the phone said that he could not cancel it, that he was not able to cancel any order. I went to the store in my area and asked them, why they were not allow to do it?, they say that's wrong, they do cancel an order if you call before 30 mints after you made the order. When I called it was no more than 5 mints after order placed.

I went to Advance Auto to purchase a alternator and a drive belt. Jorge was the guy who helped me and the transaction went smooth. After installing the alternator I noticed the battery light was on and my mechanic tested the alternator voltage and found that it was low. I went to the Ford dealership to purchase a new alternator and that fixed the issue. I went back to return the faulty alternator and the drive belt as the belt did not need replacement. I told the cashier that I was there to return a defected alternator and he said to wait a second. He asked Jorge for help taking back the defected alternator. Jorge opened the alternator box and immediately accused me of trying to return a part that wasn't theirs. He said it was missing a sticker and returned to his station. I asked to speak to a manager and Jorge said there was no manager on duty and that if I had a problem to take it up with corporate. I asked for a name or number to the manager and I was told very rudely by Jorge that there was no information that he could give me. Jorge was very rude and unprofessional, for him to be trusted to talk to your customers is a very bad move for the company. I will never return to Advance Auto and will make sure everyone I know does not go there as well. My company has a commercials account with you guys and will make sure our 4 stores stop doing business with Advance

Worst customer service ever. Didn't want to give any stars. Made me wait at 10 minutes and didn't acknowledge me. Go to auto zone in Chantilly. So helpful.

My fiancé and I came in to get my battery replaced for my GMC Acadia after being told i would need to go to a shop to have that done on a previous visit, because of the unique placement of the battery. I intended on buying just the battery, and then going to a shop but Noah was very reassuring that he could install it with no problem. He was friendly, confident, and made the whole experience light and enjoyable. He worked tirelessly to not only sell me the battery but to also explain my options and brave the 90 degree weather in a hot car to install it and get us on our way. The customer service we received was excellent!

So disgusting in here. Clean it up! I know it's a rough and tough store, but females do shop here and many men enjoy a clean environment. Please, I'm begging you, take 10 minutes to remove the dead flies and cobwebs from the windows!

Friendly service. Pretty much just retail location. The guy I talked to at the register came out to test my car battery for free and gave me a rundown of the problem and options. Also directed me to the jumper cables that I hallucinated myself into previously having. Based on a conversation I heard between another customer and another employee, not all of them are particularly well-informed or helpful though.
Due to local ordinance (or "the landlord," according to the fellow who assisted me), they can't perform the free installation, but he called the Chantilly location to verify that I could have them do it with the receipt and also reimburse me for the old battery's core charge. Came here for an air filter and a new license plate holder and was treated well. I came in after work, tired, long day, it was about the thunderstorm, and the guy found what I needed and I was on my way. It was relatively inexpensive, no problems.
