I went here for the first time with my brother. Nice selection, I love these types of ethnic shops and to browse everything. No one was at the counter, when I walked in, I noticed there were pigeons from outside walking into the store so I took a video for my snapchat. An older man comes out from the back and in broken english accuses me of stealing and demands I delete the video. I acted like I didn't know what he was talking about and walked away. We ended up purchasing a lot of items, sadly I don't feel like returning to this shop because of that strange interaction.

Nice and clean place to buy Iranian items... a bit pricey and only has pork mortadella, which is a bummer.

A lot of products don't have price stickers or price different than register. Make sure is price is match with register and get your receipt.

I like the lavish and flatbreads they have also, if you ever wanna make your own apple turnovers, they have a square pastry there in the frozen section. That's the only place that has one of two brands. That works great. You prepare some chopped up apples in a skillet. Simmer them down let them cool I put Cran raisins in with it and then stuff the turnovers after you let them thaw a little bit. Don't let them get completely to room temperature pop those in the toaster oven and you've got the most delicious healthy turnovers of whatever you want to put in.

The store has Iranian and middle eastern gems! Their Sangak bread is out of this world.

You can't find things in this store in other places. They carry Iranian flatbread, sangak, a nice Middle Eastern yoghurt, different feta cheeses. Also date and pomegranate molasses. There is a premixed bag of dried herbs to use in making rice. Lucky find.

6 years living in San Carlos. I've been here dozens of times. Never had any issue with anything I purchased. Nice and friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Can't ask for more.
Not a big store but good selection of Turkish, Persian, and Armenian goods (and much more). Ohanyan's basturma and soujouk are my favorites.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 10, 2017
It's sometimes hard to find the ingredients I need to make the food I grew up eating. I found out about this place recently so I checked it out.
Adel market is a mom n' pop style shop located in a shopping plaza right off of El Camino Real. It's a small store and it doesn't have the variety I would have hoped for, but it does carry certain staple items (i.e. grape leaves, cured cold cut meats, different granularities of bulgur, etc.). The store was a little cluttered and price tags seemed optional (or at least I had a hard time finding price tags), but the shop keepers and employees were really friendly.
Overall, I was able to find what I needed and I'll definitely be coming by again to get my routine Middle Eastern food fix.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
