Ace's Wines & Spirits of Merrick NY 11566

Stopped by here to pick up a couple of bottles of wine with Jen S. We quickly found parking in front of the place and wandered in. The counter person asked if we needed help with anything, which is always a good start.
Jen S. walked the aisle and found a bottle she was looking for. We couldn't find the other brand, which they normally have. Apparently, they were out of it. The shopkeep came over to make a recommendation. Based on the bottle we were looking for, it was the same level and price range. Done.
Walking out, there was a dog in the front seat with a passenger waiting for someone. The pup was jumping around excited and honking the horn. Would go again.

Great selection and helpful staff that recommended a fantastic wine that they thought I would like based on a few of my "go to's", and they were right!! I think they found my new summer sav blanc! The staff was awesome; they greeted me as I walked in the door and they were attentive without being overbearing or pushy. I saw another customer picking up a gorgeous wine gift basket with engraved wine bottle and wine glass. I have not seen this done before, I will definitely be back to get wine glasses engraved as a gift!!! Overall, great wine/liquor store with knowledgeable, friendly staff. Will be back very soon!

We've been using this store for a decade or so. Joe the owner is genial and knowledgeable. He is a good listener, so when we request something that is out of stock, it tends to be there the next time we come in. We have found a number of products over the years here that were not seen at other stores. Ten or so years ago, they were having a promotion and gave me a Mets wine glass. As I was walking to my car, the clerk ran out with another glass, because he noticed that my wife was waiting for me in the car. That is how a business makes lasting friendships.

Stopped in because we are new to the area and got a flyer with a coupon on it for wine.

Its been a tough week, so wine it is! The store is fairly small, but has a decent selection and the price seem pretty low. We ended up picking up Vodka, White Wine and a Coffee Liqueur.

The guy behind the counter was very friendly and helpful and we even spoke a little about music and movies, as he was wearing a David Lynch and Bauhaus Pin on his jacket.

Great little store, helpful and friendly staff, nice they sent us a flyer with a coupon, we'll definitely be back if we need something for the house.

Curbside pick up during the COVID-19 crisis awesome. Super friendly and gave great recommendations.

Came in here yesterday on Valentine's Day. Was wondering around looking for a sweet wine (I know nothing about wine at all) when the nice woman that worked there came over and asked if I needed any help. Which I definitely did lol. She told me about all the different wines and told me a few she thought I may like, after asking me a few questions about my taste palette. defiantly a great experience we loved the wine and will absolutely be back! They are extremely friendly, and helpful.

The selection is horrible, they don't have much. Or they'll keep telling you it's on back order... yeah right! Definitely way over priced too!!! You're only over paying for the convenience of it being close if you live in the neighborhood

Hands down the best in Nassau County! I've been going to Ace's for the past 15 years. His staff are the best, always helpful and honest. Will never go anywhere else!!

I drove all the way from queens to get a custom engraving on a Bottle for a secret santa gift. The place was so easy to find and parking was even easier. I was greeted by Paul who took the time out to give me excellent customer service. He was very helpful and super nice. I had 2 engravings done. One was easy and quick, the other needed a little more skill, which is where Joe came in and saved the day. Paul and Joe made this secret santa gift awesome. Ace's wine & spirit has everything... literally they have everything, even Vegan wine. They also customize engravings on cellphones too. This place is incredible and with such wonderful people working at ace's wine & spirits, I had to give them 5 stars!!! Highly recommend this place, You guys are awesome!!!
