Dr. Hitchcock and the whole staff at Abbey are just wonderful. In fact we moved the care for our cat to Abbey to follow her when she moved from another East Bay location.

Unfortunately, our elderly cat's last appointment with Dr. Hitchcock was her final appointment. I suspected it might be and had a spot prepared for her if it was needed.

It was needed. Dr. Hitchcock explained the situation to me in the most caring and compassionate way possible. This horrible process was made easier for me by her concern. I could not imagine having anyone but her handling the final doctor treatment. Not only was she so concerned and careful with my cat, she also was concerned with the 75 year old crybaby falling apart in the exam room.

They should get six stars.

Dr. Judd recently performed a risky surgery on my 14-year-old cat Smokey. Although I was a nervous wreck, I was very confident that Dr. Judd would take the best care possible of Smokey. The surgery went great and Smokey was back to trying to climb on things only a week after major abdominal surgery! It was quite amazing how well he did, and how quickly he healed. I truly believe that Smokey wouldn't be here next to me today if it wasn't for Dr. Judd. I have many great stories about the other doctors as well, but I'll stop here before I'm typing all day lol

Highly recommend ANNE HITCHCOCK! I moved and continue trusting Anne with my dogs care.
I can understand bad reviews for probably high visit fees. The standard of care is excellent with Anne. The receptionists have always been amicable. The facility is well maintained.

I adopted my dog from the Milo Foundation and had him neutered here. Due to the surgery being a success and Abbey supporting Milo Foundation Pet Adoptions, I continued supporting this practice. I'm glad I did.

This was a kind and Friendly pet Hospital, Abbys Pet Hospital is # 1. Louie was taken care of and he was a good boy

My doggie is doing great thanks to the vets here!! The front desk receptionist (Marie) was also very helpful/friendly and definitely knew what my doggie needed!! Highly recommended

Abbey Pet Hospital has cared for my cat Simon for 10 years. I trust the doctors, technicians and staff. The doctors I have worked with, Dr Schlegel, Dr. Juddabd Dr. Hitchcock have all been wonderful, with expert care and loving attention. They also take the time to explain all the details and options. The technicians and staff are all very caring and patient and I respect the work they do. It's a tough job to work with ailing animals and humans experiencing difficult emotions. Add on the intensity of the pandemic with more people acquiring pets and it's a perfect storm. I highly recommend Abbey Pet Hospital and remember to be kind!

Update. I've been taking my furry friends to Abbey Pet Hospital for years now. Dr. Gretel Schlegel is my vet there. She is an excellent diagnostician. I appreciate the care she takes my of beloveds, the care she takes to find affordable solutions, and the time she takes to answer questions, even after the visit. Her kind heart shines through. I've seen and appreciate Dr. Kim there too.
