A-Tec Chimney Sweep

We needed our wood stove moved for a flooring project. We shared photos with potential companies to make sure they could do the job and get fair estimates. We had one company come out after giving us an estimate and assuring us that they had reviewed the pictures and immediately tried to charge us double! That didn't work out.
We called A-Tec, shared pictures and they were able to accommodate the move within days so as to not disrupt our timeline for other contractors. Their crew, Gabe and Branden, were awesome! They came in drills ready and moved the 650lb stove efficiently, in less than 30 minutes. Great service all around by A-Tec Chimney Sweep!

Team of four arrived on time and went right to work setting up staging. They worked continuously and completed the job in about seven hours including cleanup. The finished chimney looks great. The price was exactly as estimated. David Kopec and team were very professional.

A-TEC Chimney Sweep was recommended by family members. 1829 Center chimney cape style with 8" SS liner in original chimney. One company quoted a price to repoint the top four rows of bricks, seal the chimney and reinstall the existing SS cap. A-TEC sent David to estimate the job. He recommended sealing the entire top after cleaning the SS pipe and a larger SS cap. Also repointed the entire chimney. A second chimney was topped with a new SS cap. Arrived on the day and time, worked efficiently and did a spectacular job, for the exact same $ as the original estimate. if you need work done or cleaning of your chimney, this is the only company to hire.

They destroyed my house in 2 days. I hired them to rebuild my chimney. Instead they destroyed my roof, siding, garden, decks and so much more. Total nightmare and now they have stopped responding.

Great service for years except this time. Had a flue liner installed and the technician left a dirty mess of the basement floor, walls, and even on the appliances.Even dented the boiler cover. Did not clean up well and said needed to go to another job. Black hand prints on the doors upstairs. Left even tools and a bucket of cement.
I called and spoke to Jonathan who said he'd tell the owner but no call back.
Probably not the tech's fault as much as management packing too many jobs in a day. Either case a call back to rectify or apologize for poor clean-up/service would have been professional.
Will not use again unless need warranty repair.

We've called A-Tec to clean our chimney three years in a row now, and have always been very happy with their work and their service. This year in particular, we were able to schedule a next-day appointment, which was a pleasant surprise leading up to the holidays; and they were able to come even earlier than expected. They got the work done super quickly and were a pleasure to deal with. They also always give us helpful insight into what the cost would be for some work we might want to have done in the future while they're there. Definitely recommended - the cost of a cleaning is about $250 in the fall/winter, and gets cheaper as more of the season elapses.

If they work they way they drive, you do not want to hire them! I witnessed A-Tec Chimney Sweep van being driven aggressively and dangerously on Rt 495 south on August 19. High rate of speed in the right hand lane, nearly crashing into a car being driven at normal speeds. They very nearly caused a major crash.

We contacted them and they scheduled a visit the next day. They came even though it was a holiday. Good job, efficient and professional. Gave us an estimate for additional work. Would definitely use them again.
