KT Bailey Massage Therapy

Wow- first time I've been a "first review".

Me: male, 50s, athletic (used to be)? I think I'm in still pretty good shape, but have had multiple injuries and orthopedic surgeries over the decades and my workouts have evolved into something more resembling rehab.

I've been a client of KT's for 7yrs starting in 2012, and usually have 2-3x sessions per month. KT used to up at Massuage Associates in Rockville and is now seeing clients out of her home-office located in Silver Spring (close to the Beltway and 29). It's a nicely outfitted home-office: clean, low key and private, but it is a home-office and not a spa. Instead, expect a level of personal interaction and a level of professional skill I have not often experienced/found in larger businesses.

KT is quite a gifted massage therapist: skilled, patient, adaptable, perceptive and observant. Her skills are excellent with multiple techniques and applies light/firm/heavy pressure as needed/tolerated. If she notices a squirm or hot spot, she'll back off immediately and approach from a slightly different direction. She will ask questions/request feedback. I usually just let her assess while she's working and have never had anything less than a great massage. Lastly, one thing I very much value when I'm relaxing and my eyes are closed- "presence". KT maintains contact throughout the session, and the session's "flow" is never interrupted/jolted/weird.

While skilled and empathic, KT is also grounded and professional. She values higher quality sessions and smaller #s of clients over volume delivery. If you have any questions, simply ask her.
