Q:
Is parking hard to find on rush hour after work?
A:
They have a tiny parking lot so if you're lucky you can get in without parking on the street.

Is sauna/steam coed or separated for each? Thanks!

Sauna and steam room is coed. There is only one sauna, one steam room and one hot tub.

I had a great experience dropping into the Pearl District's 24 Hour Fitness. This gym has (nearly) everything you could want for your fitness pleasure. Here's a quick rundown:
Equipment: Basically everything under the sun (except a GHD - no one's perfect). On the main floor, they have a large powerlifting / olympic lifting area with platforms, squat racks, barbells, and bumper plates. They also have a turf area for running and other cardio. There's tons of machines, basically anything you can think of is here. Upstairs, there's the normal cardio equipment, including rowers and ellipticals. All in all, tons of stuff to help you get stronger and faster.
Other areas: There's a nice lap pool with two lanes, a basketball court, a group fitness room (no one was there, but supposedly they have classes), and *very clean* bathrooms with showers.
Staff: Really nice; setting me up was a snap and they were friendly and not high pressure.
All in all, this is an awesome club to work out in, and if I lived in Portland, I would definitely consider going regularly!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - William H.Provincetown, MA06Mar 27, 2024
A well equipped gym, lots of equipment, but some of it was wobbly / in need of maintenance. I generally went in midday, and it wasn't too crowded. The three day pass they offer is good for visitors.

The gym itself is fine. My issue is with parking. They have a tiny parking lot that's always full so you have to pay for parking. You'll end up paying more for parking than the platinum gym membership if you go more than twice a week here.
Parking kitty has the ability to have companies validate your parking but they do not participate in it.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1080182Apr 23, 2023
Clean, spacious gym. Staff is friendly. Machine's are clean. Weights/weight lifting machines are downstairs and treadmills, stair steppers, ellipticals upstairs as well as the studio room. Fans blowing hard so there's always some breeze while you workout. Parking lot is small but it is downtown in the heart of the city, so it's expected. Walking distance to grocery stores, and restaurants.

Nice gym. Easy short-term membership. Has all the basic weights / machines on the floor. Everything you need.
25m lap pool requires in-person reservation.
Nice staff.
Clean & spacious locker rooms.
Just wish they had more fitness class offerings.
Definitely recommend!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jack H.FL, FL02Dec 15, 2023Updated review
No paper towels in bathroom, just the germ blowers...often no soap. Management reduced shower temp to lukewarm...no hot shower, no bueno... o group classes, looking at alternative clubs. Cutting costs and service.

The bad reviews about staff are no longer relevant in my experience at this gym so far! The staff have been very helpful & kind. All the machinery is clean & treadmills work just fine. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the pool area/ pool locker room area. (Was dirty once so not that bad) Usually no one is at the pool at this location so if you love to swim this is the gym for you!

I came from out of state and signed up only due to the fact that they told me that I would not have to worry about going back home to California and transferring my membership. I was given this information in person and on the phone from two different employees. It's very frustrating now that I'm back home and I was giving false information and having to re-sign back up PCs again that were previously paid. I recommend you train your stuff better to provide customer service skills and when they do not know the answer to refer to the manager rather than giving false information. Also just location is not open 24 hours. Parking is very slim.

Alan is a garbage man. I paid 40$ to work out a total of 90 minutes in less than 24 hours. Once again I am reminded why big gyms are trash. Oh and he was "just following orders." Where have I heard that before..?

Unsafe. 24HF Pearl continues to fail to monitor members. Again today 2 people working out without masks - one had mask completely off, one had it under his chin for over 45 min.
The staff who are supposed to pay attention and ensure the safety of the gym? She was texting and doing whatever on her phone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 20, 2021Previous reviewOnce again, mask mandate not being observed and zero enforcement once you're in the gym.
Went to use the Precor elliptical and 4 of 11 people in the aerobic area have masks on chin (2), or pulled below nose (2). Came downstairs and looked around- 1 with mask pulled down, 3 with masks pulled down below noses, and no less than 2 with vented masks - which protect them but expose people around them.
C'mon...WTF?! People are relying on the club being clean and safe, with an enforced mask mandate.
Most people not sanitizing equipment after use - including weights, machines and aerobic equipment.
While the 24 Hour TV channel touts how clean the gym is and show staff cleaning the gyms, that doesn't appear to be something that happens as staff usually congregate at front desk.
Don't get me wrong, I love 24 Hour Fitness and this location - the staff are wonderful, helpful and professional. This appears to be part of a continuing management leadership and culture failure.
Either they don't know how or they don't care. Or both.
