buff's wings may be good, but i don't think they are worth the hassle. the location is a bitch to drive to, parking is difficult, and it's impossible to get a table. the small bar only has a limited number of booths and it's almost always crazy crowded in there. when the bouncer lets you in, you're immediately greeted by a crowd of people standing around, holding beers, and eyeing tables. there is no organization as to how the tables are seated and waitstaff is hard to flag down. they're hungry, you're hungry, and when a table finally opens up it can get ugly.

liz at the benefit brow bar is amazing! she is friendly, funny, and a perfectionist! it's kinda weird getting your brows waxed while sitting on a stool in the middle of the store but liz makes you feel comfortable and she does an amazing job. i wanted to reshape my brows and she took her time, and they came out looking great. she showed me all the benefit products she used, but didn't push them. she also did my eye make up for me which was nice of her. i recommend liz for brows or a make up application.

ulta is basically sephora meets cvs. you'll find both high and low end beauty producs but it is not a beauty supply store. they don't sell developer or stuff like that. you can check out their merchandise on their retail website. the store is large and carries most of the same merchandise. it's a fun place to browse when you're looking for new products or gifts. the sales associates are helpful but don't ask you if you need help every minute (like sephora). i like their nail polish selection which is always updated with new opi and essie colors.

lots of fun unique flavors and good ice cream, but nothing special. there's always a steady flow of wellesley moms and kids streaming in during the summer. i know they're going for the whole old fashioned look, but i think the store could use a bit of a face lift.

since moving to metro west, i heard nothing but good things about bronzetti's square pizza that used the old union house's recipe. having never tried the old union house pizza nor being a huge fan of sicilian style pizza, it took me a while to try bronzetti's out.

turns out i was missing out on delicious pizza! the pizza is definitely worthy of its following and i'm surprised there aren't any reviews on yelp! they only offer one size (medium) and it's $10. the pizza is square but i wouldn't really call it sicillian...it's more like regular (but really good!) pizza in a square shape. the dough is soft and pillowy in the center with a slightly crisp bottom and crunchy edges. the sauce is perfect and they don't skimp on the cheese which i always appreciate!

bronzetti's offers dine-in, take-out and delivery. they're a small family restaurant as well as a bar. i've never dined in, but i found the employees friendly. we called to order about 20 minutes before the restaurant opened and they were nice enough to get started on it right then.

i'm the "anything but asian" girl. that's my usual reply to "what should we eat?" i grew up eating asian food practically every.single.day and when i moved to boston, i quickly became tired and unimpressed with what the asian restaurants had to offer. that is until, myers + chang came into my life. they've transformed the same old ingredients and spices into something new and exciting.

i've enjoyed every dish i've tasted at myers + chang. they are all so flavorful and creative but a few of my favorites are the tea smoked ribs with the crispy glazed crust and that melt in your mouth interior, the perfectly spicy and peanuty-y dan dan noodle salad, and the cool and crunchy green papaya slaw. all washed down with a scorpion bowl? it's the perfect meal!

not only is the food great, but the restaurant is so fun to dine in. from the lucky cat that greets you to the golden pig that holds your check or the pink barstools that line the bar to the pink bags that hold your leftovers...there are so many delightful little details to admire. myers + chang is the restaurant i bring my out of town guests to, to show them boston dining can be more than stuffy steak and seafood restaurants.

the busy vibe and small shared plates, makes this a great date spot, or for a dinner and drinks with a small group of friends. but for a more wallet friendly meal, give myers + chang a try for lunch. the plates are a bit bigger and you can also try one of creative banh mi creations! all their menus (lunch, dinner and dimsum!) are constantly changing and evolving (they recently went from those infamous asian tacos to asian nachos!). myers + chang is my new favorite restaurant and i can't imagine getting sick of it anytime soon.

i'm writing this review for my mommy cus i sure as hell can't afford an outfit from st johns. i did personally speak to the sales associate and her manager on the phone though.

my mom wanted a specific suit in size 4, but this location only had a size 6 in stock so the sales associate offered a free alteration to bring the suit down a size. i should note that my mom knew nordstrom had her size in stock and she shared that with the st john sales associate which is why my mom was offered a complimentary alteration.

when my mom went to pick up her suit, she was told there was a fee for the alteration. i spoke to both the sales associate and store manager and they claimed that they never offer free alterations. i asked why anyone would pay to alter a suit a whole size down when she can just purchased the right size. i also questioned why she was not quoted a price for the alteration. the manager told me something along the lines of "st johns clientele aren't concerned with prices." even more than the sales associate lying to make a sale, the manager's snide comment was unnecessary, insulting, and completely ridiculous.

despite our complaints and a number of phone calls back and forth, the manager refused to waive the fee, my mom really had no choice but to pay since her suit was already paid for. the horrible service was so unexpected, especially for a high end boutique to a repeat customer. what a stark difference from the customer service at nordstrom! i don't expect anyone not to purchase a st john knit (they ARE beautiful and well made) but if you have the choice, save yourself a potential headache and purchase at nordstrom!

this best buy takes the prize for the worst customer service i've ever experienced.

it started when i went to exchange a week old digital camera that had a glitch. according to their return policy, full refunds are given for defective cameras but of course, it wasn't that easy.

i wanted to exchange my camera for a different brand since i didn't want to risk having the same problem. i walked in with the model # of the new camera i wanted in but was told it wasn't in stock, so i asked for a full refund instead. the "returns guy" refused, and suggested i just exchange it for the same model with the addition of an extended warranty. then he straight up accused me of tampering with my camera! his reasoning? he owned the same camera and his had never given him any trouble.

as this guy was speaking to me, i found myself transforming into one of those crazed angry customers that i didn't even know i had in me. after some shouting and arguing, suddenly, a new shipment of the new camera i had asked for just happened to come in! wow! what are the chances, right?

grotto's sweet potato ravioli is perfection on a plate. try it! i promise you'll fall in love.

the pizza here is okay...the location is right across from the sutherland T stop, so it's decent enough to stop in and grab a slice if you live in the neighborhood but not good enough to crave when you move away. they serve greek-style pizza which is not my favorite. my usual order was a slice a cheese, but i got a small pie once and it was surprisingly delicious and the crust didn't taste greek-style for some reason.

the guys who work here are really nice and i don't mean the creepy kind of nice....they're friendly, funny, and make you feel like a regular even it's your first time stopping in.

i stayed at this clarion for one night before a cruise and had a decent stay. the staff is courteous and the public areas are clean and well kept. there's a pleasant neutral color scheme in both the common areas and rooms, and the furniture is modern and understated. my room was not a suite but it was spacious and had a balcony. i stayed at the end of the summer and had the pool and gym to myself.

i would stay at this clarion again but do have some minor complaints. first, the nightly resort fee is kinda ridiculous as there is nothing resort-y about this place. there is also a charge for breakfast ($10-ish) which is not worth it especially considering there's a denny's right in front. the wifi in my room was very slow. and lastly, there are only stairs to reach the second floor which was fine for me, but i would imagine this may be difficult for an older person or someone with a lot of luggage.
