Alright Yelpers, I need your collective wisdom.
The big kahuna at work (top dog, CEO) asked me for recommendations on where to go for a family Christmas dinner (restaurant). He knows I'm big on food and yelp, so I don't want to disappoint! I'm hoping you all can suggest things, since I don't have kids so I'm not looking at it from his angle.
I asked him 3 words to describe his family, he said : Traditional, Youthful, Thoughtful.
2 kids attending - one is a 12 yr old boy, and the other a 9yr old girl.
So.. what do you guys think? Any awesome Christmas dinners come to mind!?
Thanks so much!12/11/2010 -

Pourhouse has a special table reserved just for people who want to have a special meal made just for them. It seats 6 people max, the min is $50 per person and the chef will make anything that your heart desires (no menu needed)! They're so young and fun in there, I can't imagine it not being super special.

You can't go wrong with Seasons in the Park, with the space outside for the kids to run off their energy after the meal. The other place that looks interesting, but have not been to the restaurant is Grouse Mountains. They could go skating or snow shoeing after! My kids would love that.

Is this for Xmas day?
Because if it is say Hello to a hotel dining room, Chinese or Indian-always is.
Used to be a few Japanese open Xmas day but they've all fallen by the wayside.12/12/2010 -

Depends on how fancy he wants it. Most chinese restos have set dinners consisting of 6-10 courses, I'd say this is the best bang for the buck. Try Kirin downtown.
How about The Keg in Yaletown?12/20/2010
