I heard a commercial on the radio yesterday for Wrecking Ball or  Wrecking Balm which is supposed to be a 3 step daily process for getting rid of tattto's.  Had anyone tried it?

That's funny . . . I would have thought a wrecking ball would destroy a tattoo - and that part of the anatamoy to which it's attached - in less than three steps.

How's the wet towel situation, Stupid?

I read about Wrecking Balm at a site called thebeautybrains.blogspot….

They said it might work. They also answered a bunch of other questions about cosmetics. Check it out, it's smart and funny.

I think Wrecking Balm is a scam.  I tried it for a month and got absolutely no results.  All that it is is some overwhelmingly foul smelling spray that you spray and rub with their provided exfoliating pad every three days, and some "Pigment Lightening" lotion that you put on it twice a day.  And a bottle of cheap multi vitamins that they tack on an extra $29.95 for.

I just called them and sent it back for a refund, and was offered another kit for free.  So they charge me $164.90 for something that they can just send out for free when i want a refund??

I bought the 2 month supply of the wrecking balm(around $200) a couple of weeks ago, and found out that the diffusing cream is just 1% hydroquinone, which can be bought over the counter as a skin lightener at a drug store for about $6. The demo-brasion spray is just an exfoliator spray. I suggest you save your money and go to walgreens to buy the skin lightener stuff along with a nice apricot scrub instead. The wrecking balm directions call for using the skin lightener twice a day, and every third day exfoliate the tattoo.

Darn it!  I thought I had found my magic solution!

the "magic solution" is called laser tattoo removal.  it's expensive and painful

yet another reason to consider BEFORE having your favorite band's or girlfriend's name scrawled on your body.

from howstuffworks.com:  Something to think about BEFORE you get that tattoo is the fact that having a tattoo removed is much more expensive than having one put on. Laser tattoo removal can range from several hundred dollars up into the thousands of dollars, depending upon the size, type and location of the tattoo and the number of visits required. More bad news is that medical insurance generally doesn't pay for tattoo removal, since it is considered aesthetic or cosmetic in nature.

So wait- Stupid, Trev, and Elaine-

you guys want to remove tats?

    Why?

One solution might be to get a tat to cover the original- say if it's your Ex-SOs name or some shit.

Thank goodness that 13 years later I have no regrets - it fact, I am working on getting another one - but NO NAMES - EVER!

I know a lot of people love their tats and that's fine. I have a very good friend that got a very large tattoo at the wrong time in his life for very wrong reasons. Now he's stuck with a butt ugly tattoo that will always remind him of this time. He also had it done by an amateur tattoo artist who offered to do it for free if he'd let him photograph it for his portfolio. Trust me, if I saw this tattoo in his portfolio, I'd run out the door. So I'm really looking for something to help fade this tattoo for him as he surely can't afford the thousands of dollars to have it lasered off. And unfortunately, it's so dark that a coverup tattoo wouldn't work either.
