I am pregnant, and my husband is ranting and raving about the fumes in my current nail salon, saying the fumes will damage our baby.

Does anyone recommend salons in the South Bay which have awesome air circulation systems and non-fume nail products?  I was thinking maybe Santana Row?

Alternatively, I am happy to puchase the products and have someone come to my home.  Any good recommendations for home manicurist visits?

    Thanks Yelpers!

How'd ya guess?  If we decide on a second, I suppose he will be too tired to care.  :-)

Burke Williams is fume-free, but it'll cost ya.  InSpa is a little more affordable, and also fume-free.

Grand New upscale nail salon just open one month. they have awesome air circulation systems and non-fume nail smell. You will not have a smell of polish. They are very clean. They are using new pumice pad, new buffer, new emery board. then, you can bring home after using. For the implement tool, they are using auto clave to sanized the tool, then they put in safety guard plastic bag. It is nice and super clean service I have ever seen in Nail Salon.
The price for Manicure $17 and Spa pedicure $30 if you do combo will be $44 This price is higher than Santana Row.

I would recommend going to a salon that does natural nails only. So you wouldn't have to smell the acrylics. If you do have acrylics I would recommend getting gels instead they are odorless and kinder to your nails.

  1. There is actually a few salons (by few I mean one or two) in the San Jose area that focus only on being a natural spa, including natural manicures and pedicures. Good looking out for the little one! Do a search on spas on yelp...it was hard to find as I had to look at individual websites. But I am 100% that it exists, since I was just doing a search on affordable but nice nail spas because I have a wedding to attend. I didn't pick that one since it was a bit pricey for me and I didn't need all the natural holistic stuff.

  2. YAY I think I found it for you:
