I just commented on a last meal thread
yelp.com/topic/los-angel…
and it got me thinking about a related topic.
If you were forced to eat the same meal everyday, what would you choose?9/15/2008 -

Loaded carne asada nachos w/ guac, sour cream, cheese... and those pickled carrots. Or the exact same thing, in burrito form.

the following nigiri:
- toro
- yellowtail
- salmon
- tuna
- albacore (with jalapeno, garlic and a splash of sriracha)
...and an unagi/avocado hand roll
for something that i have to eat everyday, it can't be too flavorful, or else i'd wanna barf after a week.9/15/2008 -

The best place I have had that meal is La Estrella at ave 59. Of course I was drunk and it was 2:30 so maybe that added to the greatness. Of course, the fact that you can get that at 2:30 in the morning makes it that more amazing. I'm not sure I could do that one everyday.

If I had to eat the same meal for the rest of my life, make it disgustingly good and disgustingly UNhealthy so I arrive to the grave sooner. Wouldn't know what that is... maybe something whipped up by Anthony Bourdain.

At first I was thinking sushi too. I picked it along with lobster for my final meal in the final meal thread. I think I could handle lobster everyday. I think. I did have it an amazing four times in a one week period between the San Pedro and Redondo Beach lobster festivals last year. I don't think i could do it with Sushi though. I might be able to do it with Protein Bars though.9/15/2008 -

I would still stick with lobster from my thread about the last meal. It is without question my favorite. If pressed for a second. I would go with breakfast cereal. It's the only meal I can think I have enjoyed at probably every hour of the day and I have happily eaten it more than once in a day before.

Jesus, that's a hard one.
On one hand for taste: Any kind of Mexican food with a lot of lime and cilantro.
On the other hand for not puking constantly: California rolls with real crab and wasabi. Or sherbet. Yeah, sherbet wouldn't make you sick would it?
I imagine eating the same meal with a lot of dairy in it, (like nachos for example) would probably end up making you lactose intolerant. Then if all you could eat was melted cheese, you'd be in big trouble.9/15/2008 -

my chinese tutor in beijing really did eat the same simple meals until he was 18 that consisted of rice, veggies, egg, and sometimes meat. he had never had noodles or any other type of food besides chinese food until he went to college in beijing.
crazy huh?
so on that note, i would eat some kind of soupy noodle...with cookies n cream ice cream for dessert. don't think i'd ever get sick of ice cream!9/15/2008 -
