    Sorry I missed this one. I love oysters (and everything else that has ever lived in any water). Living in Indiana is hard, although Oceanaire has a decent selection.

    The cost is absolutely outrageous, though!

    When I lived in a state with a coast, I could get a dozen quality oysters for six bucks. Alas, we are now landlocked and I now tend to wait until I visit an area with cheap fresh seafood to get my oyster fix. Crab cakes are the same for me. I'll just wait until I get back out to Maryland and not waste my time with what passes for crab cakes here in Indiana.

    Of course, we do beef, dairy, and many vegetables better than most of those characters on the coasts!
