I always wanted to have a custom fragrance. I was googling a perfume I sampled at a boutique in California. I found the website and you can get a custom scent made for you for only $23. I did it and it is the coolest thing ever. At least you know, no one else is wearing it or smelling like you.  If you like gourmand scents, this is like hitting the lottery. I wrote a review.

That's pretty cool. I keep meaning to try a place called Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab because my friend had perfume from there that basically made everyone want to eat her alive, in a good way. Yelp reviews are here:

I don't know if they do custom but they have an insane amount of really intriguing sounding stuff.

I have some samples from a long discontinued fragrance that was (& still is) my all time favorite. it was a cheap drug store brand (back when "naturistics" made perfume) but it is better than $100 bottles of stuff Ive had for some reason it just was the best. if I could find somewhere to match it I would be happy, but Im not sure of anything like that around here.

sounds delicious!  I also love going to an Aveda Store or Spa and making a custom fragrance.  So many people (friend, strangers, acquaintances) will get a whiff of me and immediately ask what kind of perfume I'm wearing, I love telling them, "I made it." I sound creative and chic and I love it!

They used to do this at the Body Shop way back when.

Daniel: There is somewhere in Boston. I saw it on the E! Network -but it is like $600.....it is more lengthy than Starring.....!....I just think the concept is cool. I was completely impressed with the product. It is more like an oil than a watery fragrance and lasted long. It is cool to say it is your own custom fragrance.

Leisha: I have been meaning to buy something from there! They are expensive -I think....I saw some items on Ebay....They have crazy ass scents.......Thanks for the reminder.

Maria V. : I remember that! I use to love the sandalwood and something else....That was so long ago. I did recently see a kit with 10 scents that you could mix at the Body Shop.

VX C: What did it smell like??????

Cara -- When I was in HS I wanted the funds to make my own fragrance SO BADLY! And then when I finally did they stopped doing it. Augh!  My problem is I like how everything smells. I'd probably make some ghastly concoction of everything nice and end up reeking like an old lady with cheap perfume.

LOL. That is exactly what I thought. I was telling her I liked fig...caramel.......patchoulli.........sandalwood..........cake.........caramel.........it turned out awesome.

I would go for it. For $23 you don't have anything to lose. Well...you do...but it is worth a shot. Plus. there is a larger section on the form to add notes. You can go in more detail about your likes/dislikes. I am surprised how much our personality's drive our desire for smell/scent....but she did get it right.

Oh..you know what. They have other customer scents. Not just one totally made by you. They give you options that smell good together. It is all under "I always get what I want" .....I am doing a custom carnival next.......yum
