- What/Why:
- Miami Beach Community Health Center's second edition of "Through the Eyes of Love" in honor of World AIDS Day will showcase a diverse collection of art and photographs, symbolizing the depth of local artists' thoughts and feelings as it relates to HIV/AIDS. The exhibition, in partnership with ArtCenter/South Florida, will take place in Miami Beach at 767 17 Street, from Tuesday, December 1 through Sunday, December 20. The exhibition will be open to the public from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. The exhibition will coincide with Art Basel.
The opening reception for Miami Beach Community Health Center's Through the Eyes of Love will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 30. During the reception, select artists will receive cash prizes for their work.
Last year's exhibition was a great success, with the participation of more than 100 artists who were able to express their emotions about this global health crisis. "Through the Eyes of Love" reached thousands of South Florida residents and visitors who viewed the exhibitions in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, including artwork by talented artists Barry Gross, Deborah Weed, Robert Tabor, Ali and more.
