Delicious food! when a restaurant can get me to eat endive, that's WOW.
duck: yum! with kumquat and endive (caramelized with balsalmic?)
pastas: all yum
bread with honey riccota
old fashioned fancy service.
only complaint: loud. people all around us with loud distracting conversations.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 28, 20241 check-in
I had a business lunch here recently & had a wonderful experience. We didn't have reservations but were seated in the main dining room quickly.
We started with the burrata which comes with stone fruit & was a light starter. We were also provided with complementary focaccia bread. Yum! I chose the Tajarin which features hand cut, thin tagliatelle, five hour pork and porcini mushroom Sugo. It was delicious & I ate every morsel. My co-worker had the Langaroli pasta & I sampled a little bite & it was yummy. I wanted to end the meal with a palate cleanser & close the citrus sorbetto, which was light & refreshing.
Service was warm & helpful. I like the formal dining room with proper linens.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Jaylen S.Livermore, CA0211Feb 18, 2024
We had a reservation here for Valentine's Day. When we arrived, we were 15 minutes early and seated right away. The ambiance is nice with a classy bar setting and nice booths or tables. The dining upstairs might be inaccessible for wheelchair users or those with movement impairments. I did not see an elevator.
The service was swift and friendly, I always felt like we were taken care of. The server acknowledged that our entree was taking too long and checked on it without us asking.
The food was delicious! We had a lovely potato and leek soup, pasta, and sorbet for dessert. Everything was fantastic! A bit pricey for the pasta but still within a reasonable range for an upscale dining experience. The only "miss" was the complimentary truffles given to us at the end. We couldn't eat them, they were too rich.
We would love to be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Jaylen,
Thank you for your kind review. We look forward to seeing back to Perbacco soon. By the way, are wheelchair accessible and we have an elevator. Having 3 floors we could not operate without one. - Apr 20, 20241 check-in
Excellent Italian cuisine in the SF Financial District. I've been eating here for many years. The food is consistently tasty and the service is good. Best to make a reservation. Lots of menu items to choose from. Appetizers, salads, delectable pastas, entrees and desserts. Generous portions, making you feel that you are getting a good deal for the price. My absolute favorite dish is the petrale sole fish , which is tender and cooked perfectly with butter and served with a pile of delicate fillets over a mound of vegetables. The sorbet for dessert comes in seasonal flavors. I had cranberry sorbet on a recent visit, which was tasty and served with about two good sized scoops and two cookies. I will keep coming back.

Came here on Valentine's Day with a reservation and got seated right away. Really liked the ambiance on both floors of the restaurant. We ordered the acme bread, the tajarin, gnocchi, and poached pear with vanilla ice cream desert.
The bread and butter were good but not notable. The exterior was a bit hard even though the inside was soft and I would've liked a little more honey in the butter. I liked the tajarin -- the noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was very meaty and savory without being too heavy. It tasted more like an East Asian noodle dish than a pasta though. The tomato sauce gnocchi was simple but really well done! Finally, the poached pear desert was my highlight of the meal. The different textures and flavors from the pear, cake, ice cream, red wine, and biscuit worked really well together.
It was a little pricey (~40/person) but expected for 3 courses at a fancier restaurant. Overall, solid place for a fancy dinner and service was good too!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 9, 2024
We came to Perbacco for a Friday night dinner right after work, and this is honestly probably my favorite restaurant in the Financial District yet.
The interior design is very comfortable and classy feeling. It's pretty spacious and there's a large back dining area that looks and feels very elegant. We were seated and served immediately, and they had our food brought out in no time.
I got the Tajarin, as it was our server's recommendation and one of their most popular dishes. To be completely honest, it wasn't mind blowing by any means, but still a very solid pasta nonetheless that was pretty unique and unlike anything I'd ever had before. My friend ordered the Risotto and was equally satisfied with her entree.
Overall, if you need a nice, upscale-feeling food spot in FiDi for some solid Italian food -- Look nowhere else!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 179112294Dec 25, 2023
Minutes off of embarcadero Bart station by feet, with nice ambiance inside.
We had a big party of 9, first group of 5 arrived on time with the rest only minutes away, but were told to wait for everyone to be seated. IMO this was unnecessary as we would have had time to order an additional round of drinks while we waited and be happier with better accommodation to start!
Cocktails were yummy, however other than some whiskey ones that came in standard rock glass, the cocktail glass were smaller than normal so you end up getting less drinks!
We ordered Brussels sprouts and cauliflower appetizers to start, Brussels could have been great had it been more crispy!
I had the grilled octopus starter as my main and it was very visually pleasing with the very bright pesto, and octopus was cooked well.
The duck main with pear salad had far too much pear to duck, resulted in unbalanced flavor.
Best of the night was the pumpkin cheese cake which was delightful in flavor and with very pretty presentation. Penna cotta was simple and enjoyable as well.
With many other options in the city, I'm unsure if we'll revisit this place as there was nothing truly remarkable.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 28, 2023
We went here for Christmas Eve dinner. We were seated on time and the overall service was great with Rodrigo.
The acme bread rolls were pretty light and the salted honey butter was a great accompaniment. The roasted pear salad was strictly alright and in hindsight I'd have been happy skipping it.
The Ravioli in brown butter sauce was, in Joey Tribbiani's words, exquisite. The Risotto with King Crab was good too but got a bit monotonous over time.
We were excited to try the fig Panna Cotta which was advertised on their online menu. But we had to content with the Vanilla Panna Cotta. I missed the name for the other special dessert of the day but it was quite rich and had to boxed to go :)
For cocktails, the Saturn's Moon was amazing! Highly recommend getting it.
The restaurant, while crowded, was still a good setting to have a conversation.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 13, 2023
We came here for a team dinner. Had nice Christmas decorations and a cozy, white tablecloth restaurant ambiance. Extensive wine list and solid cocktails or mocktails (I had the basil lemonade and Irish coffee).
Everything we ordered was delicious: my coworkers highly recommended the short rib. I had the ravioli which had a slightly sweet taste which was surprising but tasty.
The desserts were plated beautifully and had unique flavors. I ordered the pear dessert that had a wine flavor.
Perfect spot for a work happy hour/dinner, date, or celebration.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 15, 2024
Overall I enjoyed my experience! Went for a Galentines Dinner and their servers were all very nice. We did have to wait a bit before someone came to take our order, but it was a busier day than usual. The pasta was great but I will say the portion size was small for the cost. The dessert was definitely the highlight, would recommend this one.
