Regal UA Cottonwood

It's rare that I would take the time to post a bad review. But this aging and dilapidated theater got my attention because it was such a bad experience. The theater has plenty of staff who are friendly enough but also give zero attention to cleanliness. The movie we came for was in a theater without any A/C, which we found out from staff AFTER they directed us "oh yeah the air isn't working in that theater, sorry" so we got a refund after a lengthy wait. Another worker told us that the GM is aware of the issue for over a month but hasn't done anything to get repairs done. Don't waste your time or money at Regal Cottonwood.

Especially after there was a shooting at another local theater, I would think a movie theater would have at least a little security and would have someone scanning tickets. I went to see Oppenheimer this week and was shocked to see not only is this theater wildly open to anyone and everyone, but I honestly didn't even need to buy a ticket, as there was nobody checking anything. My party arrived separately and we were all so confused by how little controls were in place here. Our town is not "small town safe" enough for this lack of employee presence. It was my first time at this theater and I am unlikely to come back.

I don't like the fact that after reserving online there was an almost $4 service charge for the tickets. So they take away jobs to save money then charge more for the service. I call BS! Then upon arrival for my movie that was supposed to start at 2:40 they played commercials for 20 minutes (the same ones over and over) then finally previews for 10 minutes! So movie started half hour late. When I asked about it the staff member told me they do that in case people are running late. Unbelievable! I won't be back. But just like the mall I'm sure they will be out of business soon.

This theater is going downhill. The women's bathrooms had no toilet paper and broken stall doors, the tray over the seat was dirty, and with tickets at $12+ I really expect some basic amenities and cleanliness. The seats are still comfortable.

Domo was polite and helpful to 82 year old lady who knows nothing about computers. She led me by the hand with patience and understanding

I actually love this theater. It's not anything super fancy, but it reminds of the theaters I used to go to as a kid. Except, the seats have been redone with trays & the theater has great projection and sound. There is something nostalgic, yet new about it. Plus, free refills on the large drinks (ahhh, if only they were coke products).

Nice renovation. convenient and close theater. Great for a movie on date night or with the family.

I like this theater..seats are comfy..temperature is great inside...,convenient.

For the person complaining on the cost of snacks......that is how they make their money..not by the movie..it's the same everywhere.
