Zaiqa became such a great and successful, awards winning Restaurant in a very little amount of time since it opens in July 2011. Zaiqa took a great response and attention from visitors, Local community, students and the people who really know the taste of Food. Zaiqa is at Gusto (Buffalo News) and honored with a great and the lowest prices Pakistani/Indian Restaurant in Town. Zaiqa has a very experienced culinary and Chefs team, hosting of Famous TV cooking Shows in India and Pakistan and introduced first time just a Traditional Pakistani/ Indian Halal and Vegetarian Dishes like Haleem, Nihari, Paya( Lamb Shanks), Halwa Poori and Sarson ka Saag . Zaiqa is using 100% natural ingredients and herbs. Zaiqa Offers The Largest Buffet with the guaranteed Lowest Prices and treating it's guests like a family.

We were group of 4 and happened to visit this place on Christmas - the place was open :)
They had Lunch Buffet which had a few highlights.
The samosa was one of the best that I've ever had. Seemed baked, hence, no oil. The tandoori chicken on the other hand was one of worst that I've ever tasted. Had artificial color and tasted like it's been out there for a while. The Paneer tikka Masala was the original recipe from India unlike other Indian restaurants in the states. Recommend going to this place. The servers are also quite warm.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 23, 2014
If you're wondering how to pronounce this place, it's something like no-tmyf-avo-ritt-indi-anin-town. Not by a long shot. After eating here and being denied tap water, I felt Zaiqalogically tortured. Grill Kabob, Kebab & Curry, and the nearby Star Of India... those places are delicious. This one? Nahhhhht so much. I'd rather have a Delhi sandwich. And if you can't remember the combination to your lock, Calcutta (call cutter). If you want to know when Kutter's Cheese closes, Calcutta (call Kutters).
It was an enormous disappointment. First of all, anyone that refuses to give me tap water and charges me an arm and a leg for store-bought multi-pack bottled water that is not supposed to be for resale, is going to rub me the wrong way. This is America... I expect that kind of charade in some other countries, not that I like it... but I expect better here in the USA.
Disappointing Indian buffet... the food itself wasn't really bad, and probably (on the limited Buffalo scene, even with my favourite Star Of India just down the road) would have warranted a 3 or at best 4. However the service took it down a notch. An Indian restaurant in the USA not offering free tap water, and instead offering multipack bottled water for almost $2 a bottle? That's not only extortion, it's highly unamerican. I'd expect that in certain European countries, but not here. And for that reason, plus I wasn't crazy about the food, I won't be going back.
It's way more authentic than Star Of India. But Star Of India's service is infinitely better, and to me, their food tastes magnificent, and no other Indian in town can touch them.
Honestly though, I found the buffet to be a little overpriced and a little understocked. There really wasn't much to it, and while it was a little more "authentic Indian" than a lot of the Indian buffets around (although I don't even need or appreciate the authenticity when it comes to Indian, since British Indian is my favourite type of curry by far)... it just wasn't nearly big enough to justify the price.
And thirdly, I didn't even like the food. I didn't eat much of it. The Garlic Naan was average, the food was boring... and the service was awful. I know that my favourite (Grill Kabob) sometimes has a tendency to try and rip you off a little bit, and I don't like that, but the food is so orgasmic that I put up with it. But in this case, the food is so average, and not impressive, and the rip off is so pronounced, that they are only ever going to earn a 2 from me.Helpful 17Thanks 0Love this 15Oh no 0 - 36192520Jan 17, 2014
Three adults went for weeknight buffet. None of us were disappointed. Many dishes were similar but yet each had distinctive flavorings. The food had more heat than I expected, but was all delicious. I suppose Pakistani food, generally, is spicier than Indian. Potatoes were a component of most dishes, so if diabetic (as I am), you will want to eat more meat, less carb. We will go back and look forward to ordering off the extensive menu.
Even though diabetic, I had to try a bit of two of the desserts: mango custard, and wheat pudding. Both delicious. You might even want a bit of custard to follow a few bites of something particularly spicy.
Two of our party had the Pakistani tea and were delighted by it.
A couple at a nearby table said they travel internationally a lot, and Zaiqa's has the best Pakistani food they have ever had outside of Pakistan.
Note on the Butter Chicken: a taste goes a long way. Very buttery.
We also must try their Sunday breakfast, served all day Sunday.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Anna L.Buffalo, NY32956233Apr 8, 2016
I love Indian food and I've always wanted to try Pakistani food so this seemed like a great place to try out considering they advertised as having the biggest buffet selection. Unfortunately, the buffet was sub par as everything was lukewarm and the selection was not all that big at all.
The only highlight of the meal was the complementary sizzling meat plate that they brought out to us at the beginning of dinner. Also, we were the only ones at the restaurant throughout the whole night so the service was pretty decent.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ash N.Buffalo, NY4123721Dec 19, 2016
Came for dinner with 2 friends. We ordered 2 meat 2 vegetable dishes and they were good quality and flavorful. The shakes we ordered we not the best flavor and consistency wise and service was a little slow. Overall a good experience

Food you can't miss. Extensive options and very authentic food. An excellent buffet with great desserts and amazing Chai.
Chicken tandoori and seekh kebab are brought fresh to the table. Biryani, lamb curry, chicken curry and the halwa are to die for.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Bilal S.Mississauga, Canada27811835495Jul 13, 2014
The restaurant is pretty decent and seem like they do sit in and buffet. I went there to order a take out, it was late so the place was empty.
The restaurant itself looks a little old but the food is pretty decent. the place itself was quite warm inside so it would have tough to eat in. The person taking the order was nice and the food was packed well.
We ordered a chicken briyani, rice and chickpeas in gravy, Chicken kabab and Naan. The food was great and the taste was awesome! The portions were good but I was disappointed in the Kabab as there was only one kabab cut into pieces where as you usually get 2 kababs for that price. I loved the fact that the briyani had small pieces of chicken and there were plenty of it.
For my Muslim bro and sis...They serve halal meat!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jillian D.Buffalo, NY62316Aug 28, 2016
Had been dying to try their food. Ordered from the drive-thru. At the window he did not present me with the drive-thru menu, he gave me the regular menu. I ordered two curries, an order of samosas, and an order of naan. This came to $27. They did not include any rice, the samosas were very small, and the naan was only one piece. The food tasted very good, but I think they shorted us big time.

This place has the most delicious food and the friendliest staff. Probably the only non-pizzeria place that's open late. It's family run so it has a very intimate and personalized feel to it. I've eaten here at least 20 times now and I've never been disappointed. People who don't eat here are missing out. It's annoying to see my favorite restaurant rated so low because of so many 1 star reviews that are making pretty invalid arguments. So I will also elaborate on some common complaints.
-Their buffet size. Zaiqa has an impressive selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in their buffet and dozens of options available to order. They obviously don't keep things like sandwiches in their buffet, that would be silly, they make it fresh so you do have to order some things at times.
-It's an Indian/Pakistani restaurant... don't show up, order american food, and expect it to taste like normal american food. They obviously make the dishes their own way. If you don't like the way their burgers taste, go to McDonald's.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Nov 20, 2014Previous reviewI have ordered from this place over ten times now. Every time I call they are willing to customize the dish to my preference. I love spicy food, and they're always willing to make anything on their menu extra spicy for me. Great customer service, great quality of food, and an excellent variety on their menu. They have buffets, you can eat in, take out, or have it delivered, and the best part is that they're open late too! One of my favorite places in Buffalo.

Ahhh... it's my 3rd time I ordered food for takeout...
The kababs wasn't good at all, chicken tikka was like no spices no flavour no taste, I feel like the meat wasn't fresh, and I am a food addict, it's literally disappointed me. Because I know the taste of Pakistani and Indian cuisines...and the Raita (yogurt sauce)
Yaaakkhh... Raita was disgusting and I guess it was in the cooler for like a week... you can't keep raita more then two days in cooler once you made it... and after 48 hours it's taste disgusting and stink because of yogurt.
They put the slice of tomato inside my to go box it was stinking and taste rotten...
This will be my last visit at Zaiqa
Pakistani and Indian cuisine actually more more more way better then Zaiqa...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
