I just moved here from Los Angeles and am looking for all new services. This place is great. I booked a mani/pedi for 11am on a Sunday right when they opened. My ladies were both excellent. I did a one hour deluxe pedicure and a gel manicure with nail art. They both took their time and provided outstanding customer service. There is no open bar so the flow of customers was calm and steady, rather than complete chaos. This spot is two minutes from my house in River Oaks. I think I have found my new permanent nail salon!

I have been going there for years! There are probably five nail places between where I live and them, but I always go there. They are friendly and just do a great job. It's worth a bit of an extra drive to go.

This was a bad experience and an expensive one. The salon is next to a gym and we heard, and felt, barbells hitting the floor the entire time. The pedicure and manicure I received was very quick and just ok. My wife had a pedicure and manicure including dipped nails. We spent $190 which is more than we paid are far nicer salons. To make it worse we have only been gone a couple of hours and one of her nails appears to be coming loose. Horrible experience, we won't being back.

This place is great. They are very meticulous and patient. They let me see samples of a couple colors I couldn't decide on and even helped me find a new one when I didn't like those. My feet have never looked better.

I used to love Your Nailtime & Spa. They were my favorite salon and I was always pleased with the quality of the work, no matter who I saw. I had become especially pleased with Tim and usually requested him. But no more. Several months ago, I was getting a manicure. There was a woman in the pedicure chair who was just sitting there, not even being treated, and having a very loud raging conversation on her phone. Not only would that be super annoying and rude at any time, but this awful woman was spewing F...k this and GD that... (the salon was full of clients and one lady had 2 young boys with her).
She got louder and louder and was impossible to ignore. None of the employees were addressing her completely obnoxious behavior so after about 30 minutes, I leaned up and asked if she could please lower her voice. She then proceeded to cuss me out and told me that she should get ___ to come up and "cut me." No one in the salon did anything to call her out. She finally left soon afterwards. No one in the salon apologized to me or addressed this in any way.
When I went back to the salon a few days later to inquire why no one did anything, they said this woman has "issues." No kidding. But knowing that, I have no idea why they would accommodate someone who is prone to create such a disturbance. They told me they were sorry then, but to have allowed her to behave in such a way is inexcusable. Apparently, they went around to alert the other clients about this woman's behavior during the incident, but no one addressed this with me at all at that time. The police really should have been called when she threatened me and I'm sorry I didn't do that before she left. It's a real shame as I was a 2x a month client and had referred many people to the salon. No way would I want to chance encountering such a vile person again during what is supposed to be a relaxing treat.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nicole L.West Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA443May 27, 2019Updated review
I came back because I loved my first visit so much. My nails were beautifully filed, seriously worth paying for rather than filing at home myself. The shellac lasted almost 3 weeks. Perfect manicure.
However, there must be a huge inconsistency in the skill level and care of the staff. I walked in for a gel manicure today and was greeted kindly. I expected to wait for a technician to become available. They sat me down and started my manicure. Before finishing the filing of the first hand, the technician got up abruptly. Someone came to tell me someone else would be with me shortly. I brushed it off.
The young lady who finished my manicure was about to paint my nails before filing an entire hand. I stopped her. I thought she would take the time to review the steps of the manicure and make sure I left with the full service. Instead, she rushed through the filing of the neglected hand, resulting in two completely different lengths on my two hands, which I pointed out. She finished the manicure.
!!Biggest take away!!: nails are different lengths, several edges are rough, and the nail polish is not painted to my cuticle. It looks like I got a janky manicure 4 days ago. I'm pissed. I told her what was wrong, she half-assed fixed it. I tipped more than she deserved (20%) and left.
Because of my first visit and the location amongst my routine, I will likely give this salon one more visit. I will certainly remind them of this terrible experience, and request a different technician. Hopefully I can update this with a positive experience.

I do not like to say negative things but this has to be said. I have had my nails done here for three years now. A few months ago they switched to a Coca-Cola brand of shellac nail polish.
This peels very easily in comparison to the shellac nail polish they had before.
Why fix something that is not broken?
For a cheaper product?
A few days ago I spent over $55 on a full set.
Three nails have fallen off.
I am not doing anything strenuous with my nails.
Part of me wanted to go back so they can be fixed, but I even noticed when the lady was putting the nails on that she barely put a drop of glue on them.
$55 + $10 tip wasted after just a few days.
After many years of service there, it saddens me to say I am not going back. :(Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0Jun 25, 2017Previous reviewBeautiful shellac manicure!

Some girlfriends and I were out to brunch nearby and decided to get our nails done too. I found this place on Yelp, called to confirm openings, and then we headed over.
When I arrived, they had all three chairs next to each other and ready for us. Operationally, everything went through as far as scheduling and logistics- however, the services and the ambiance weren't what I expect from a River Oaks nail salon.
Below are the main issues. I will definitely try to find another place next time I need someone last minute in the area.
~They didn't line the basins with plastic or take off the filters and sanitize them before/after use.
~The remote for my massage chair was all busted up. The plastic was so cracked it was hardly legible which button was which, and the back was held on by tape.
~The salon is right next door to a gym, so the entire time we kept hearing the very loud bangs of free weights against the floor. Not very relaxing at all.
~The nail techs did a decent job, but they talked and laughed amongst themselves the whole time, not really even trying to talk to any of us.
~After my wax, they applied a "cooling gel" that didn't dry or soak in. They expected me to walk out with the goop all over my lip.
~My shellac manicure chipped after one day, and is now peeling after only 5. They should at least last a whole 7 days before chipping based on my experience.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Matthew T.Memorial, Houston, TX12442May 17, 2020
My friend and I went to get our mani, my nail technician was nice and she did an amazing job on my gentlemen mani. However for my friend, her nails were not good at all, and her tech took two hours to do her nails with powder:(

I have been going here for at least 15 years. I moved to the burbs 5 years ago and end up driving back into town to come here. It is not fancy, you don't get mimosas or the royal treatment, but what you get is consistency. And they are meticulous! I have never gone to one person in particular and I always get an amazing manicure or pedicure. Everyone at this salon works hard and does a great job EVERY single time!!!!
