It's been a while since I came back to Youchun (management changed, they moved next door to the next building) and I'm glad I did. I ordered take out multiple times during this pandemic.

These nengmyun noodles are known to be bouncy and aldente and the way that they package the meals are really clever and don't bloat the noodles. If you get the bibimmyun which is the spicier blend without soup, they give you the icy broth on the side at no extra cost.

You do receive a few more banchan dishes when you eat in the restaurant but I didn't particularly care for the ones that they packed with our meal (sometimes mac salad, sometimes japchae).

A delicious meal to pick up during a hot day during these stressful times!

[COVID-19 Takeout Review]Ordered the cold noodles (naengmyun) and it was very well packaged! They prepare it very quickly (5 min) so make sure you time it right when you can pick it up. The noodles were so chewy and it definitely hit the spot especially on a hot day!

They give you a separate container for the broth (partially frozen) but you can also pour it into the main noodle container. I'd definitely recommend it!

I rarely ever come to You Chun when it's not summer ... AKA hot and sweltering outside and all that you want to eat to cool you down is a cold frozen bowl of Korean arrowroot noodles. On my most recent visit here, the place was busy (I arrived at prime lunch hour on a weekend), but we were able to get a seat for the 5 of us immediately. Although not proven, we thought it might be because they also have another location down the street where instead of table service, it more cafeteria style and the normal crowds may have split their locations pending seating/service style preference.

The service was quick, but not polished. The food was served quickly, but how much preparation really goes into your menu items when the bulk of your sales are the same type of cold noodles? The dish was good, but it was your standard bowl of cold arrowroot noodles - nothing that I would ever write home about. Definitely not bad, but nothing that stood out. Along with your noodles you are also served the hot broth (too salty and full of MSG for my taste), but my friends liked it.

Every time I have been here, I haven't ventured out past the cold arrowroot noodles as nothing else on their menu ever stood out to me. Also, this isn't the type of establishment where clientele would go for anything else other than the cold noodles. So if all that you're looking for is quick no frills service and to be able to come in and out for a quick bowl of noodles, then try this place out.

Solid choice for korean food in PalPark.
Street parking on Broad is always interesting, don't make any U turns or the Po-Po will nail you.

Menu has some great choices, cold noodles (in soup, dry/spicy) is good, home-tang (bone marrow soup) is also good. Pa-chun (pancake) is also solid. Frankly, most of the dishes are pretty good.
They also serve complementary soup in a thermos which is their signature move.

The place can be busy, I've waited for tables here in past. Bath rooms are fairly clean.

      Favorite spot for (mool nengmyun)~
Not sure if it's because they relocated right next to their old location, their food is fresh and clean, though they definitely use msg for their nengmyun.. (haha)

This time around, I got the Kalbi Combination with nengmyun, and my mom, the Kkoma Nengmyun (which is the kids' version/smaller portion, which you can get with or without the broth). Their galbi (Korean BBQ ribs) were delish! And I'll probably get the Kkoma Nengmyun next time; it has a lot more than expected.

You Chun is the name of my favorite restaurant in LA Korean town. They serve primarily naeng myun (arrowroot nood variety as opposed to buckwheat noodles) in icy broth and steamed dumplings.

I've passed by this You Chun a few times while driving through Pal Park, but finally stopped in for lunch. There are nice $10 lunch specials the prices overall are pretty reasonable. We ordered 1 plate of kimchi mandu (dumplings), one naeng myun, one kal guksu (knife cut noodle soup), and one dogani tang (soup with parts of the cow you don't usually eat), along with an oxtail soup to go. With tax, a little over $55.

You will notice that most of the patrons are Korean, which is a good sign. It's just good Korean food. They also serve soft tofu stew (several varieties), and other traditional noodle soups and stews. Lots to offer from a rather unassuming place.

Great little Korean place with a limited menu but what they make is jam packed with flavor. The handmade Kimchi dumplings are lite and steamed perfectly, but the Spicy Cold Noodles made me really happy.
What really grabbed my attention though was the service. You're greeted with a warm smile and a sincere hello - not mention the waitstaff's eagerness to wanting to help. Try it out is all I have to say. Yums!

You Chun is one of my go to restaurants because the food is absolutely amazing! They use ox bone soup as a base for their soup dishes and it is very flavorful! Instead of tea, they give you ox bone soup in a kettle and I usually ask for seconds because it is so good.

The restaurant is well lit and very clean!

You Chun was initially where the corner building was but moved next door to expand their restaurant do to the rising demand! There used to be a long waiting line, but that is no longer an issue.

      Pro:
      - Delicious side dishes
      - Quick service
      - Tentative staff

      Con:
      Can't really think of any

I wasn't a big fan of the food here.... There's just way too many options in the area to go back to any mediocre food places, and You Chun didn't impress me at all.

We ordered the mool naeng myun and seafood tofu soup. The naeng myun was OK - nothing special. I would prefer Shinpo or Choiga. It was a bit too sweet for me.

The seafood tofu soup was completely BLAND. It was literally hot water that looked a little red but it didn't taste like anything at all. We had it sent back and opted for the gam ja tang instead. Again, it was OK nothing really special.

If you're trying Korean food for the first time, do yourself a favor and try a different place. For hot tofu soup, I would try So Kong Dong or BCD.

Overall, there's no reason why I would come back to this place. Too many great options for Korean food in NJ!
