My children have been attending their summer camp and it's been awful.

The age groups have been combined and now you have K-2 in the same mob of kids. The counselors don't know how to communicate with 5 and 6 year olds and resort to yelling which ends up scaring and confusing the young kids. I understand the stress. You have a handful of teenagers wrangling more than 4 dozen little kids. But by combining so many kids of varying ages they are helping create the environment. That fact alone is why this is 2 stars instead of 1 but their program needs some serious leadership.

I go to this Gym when I'm in that side of town. They have a nice indoor pool (check the schedule for availability). They also have a nice gym and indoor track above it. The workout area is generally more low key than the other two Y's in town. No music playing and people here and there. A previous commenter said it was hot in there but they do have fans and I haven't gotten overheated in this one (Firley is another story!!). They have the gymnastics area here also if you have little ones, grab a brochure because you can rent it for parties too!! We went to one there and everyone absolutely loved it! They have family dressing rooms with showers and lockers in that area. The dressing rooms have spas and steam rooms. Overall this is a nice place to spend some time.

old equipment with free weights that only go up to 50 lbs. staff is friendly and swimming pool staff were very good!
