Mellow Mushroom Burlington

This one caught me off guard in a great way!! Mellow Mushroom is always good, and the vibe is so relaxed. It's a consistent place that we have enjoyed in multiple states, and it's perfect for families or large groups.
I have always thought it was a little pricey for pizza, but the food is good so I pay it without complaints!
My daughter and I ventured into this location after a doctor's appt and were seated immediately. Our server was so pleasant and asked us immediately if we wanted to do the lunch buffet.
Lunch buffet??? I had no idea they had this option!! It's very affordable and gives you the salad, pizza, and soup options all for 1 price!
I tried multiple pizzas and they were all good. They were pizza options that I never would have ordered on my own, and I also enjoyed salad and their soup.
Seriously... TRY THE SOUP!!!

Our server was a really nice young man. He kept checking on us, refilling our drinks.
We opted for a lighter lunch.. salad and wings. The salads were a nice size and presented well. The ingredients were fresh.
The wings were hot and the sauce was delicious.
The atmosphere was relaxed. Plenty of TVs to watch.

We were seated right away on a busy Saturday night. Our server Michelle, was attentive and suggested we get half House pizza and half Holy Shiitake to satisfying both of our palates. I didn't realize that she as even aware! We ordered the naked wings with Thai chili on the side. Man- those were nicely seasoned and didn't need sauce in my opinion. We ordered the medium which was 8 nice sized slices of a 16" pizza. The manager Barbie checked in with us several time of course I'm sure she's had to talk about the Barbie movie with several patrons each shirt. I was one of them. Pizza was topped with fresh ingredients. Next time I think I'll build my own as that's an option. The dining area was spacious enough to accommodate many people m. There's a bar and big screen tvs in the area for the sports fans.
I'll definitely return.

Ordered a pizza at 4:25 and was told a 20 to 25 minute wait. I finally got my pizza at 5:20 after the crew had no sense of urgency or even the ability to apologize for taking so much longer than what they said.

My mom had never been to mellow mushroom before, so I pulled up. I have been to many mellow mushrooms, but not this location.
They had just opened so they were not very busy. Everything was clean and our server was great.
I started off with some sunsets in paradise (yummmy), and bruschetta. The bruschetta was perfect, I don't like when it's super crunchy.
We order the cloud 9 wings, so delicious and wonderfully cooked!

Unfortunately we were full after and decided to order pizza another time.

I love Mellow Mushroom's wide variety of pizza options. Before becoming vegan my favorite was the Thai Dye Pie, but now I love that you can build your own vegan pizza. The vegan Buffalo chicken and shiitake pizzas are excellent!

The atmosphere is really unique too. I feel like if you actually went to a Mellow Mushroom high, it would be quite a trippy experience but I love the eclectic decor.

I went to this location when visiting a friend, but am bummed the one closest to me closed a few years back (Oakley, Ohio).

It's a Mellow Mushroom. Not much else to say. I like their pizza. The gluten free crust still upsets my husband's stomach so I do go often.

OMGOODNESS!!! This dough is so delicious No wait time, you are seated quickly and drinks on the table. Shout out to our waitress "Hanna" GREAT JOB Nice clean area. The music is old school vibes music great to bop you head to while enjoying your food. Good selections on the pizzas made for the buffet, ooooh and cinnamon bites with icing...you will loose you mind delicious

Can I preface this review by saying that I don't even like pizza . I don't know why it's never been my go to favorite!

But last night I got a wild hair and decided that this would be a great choice for dinner. I am so glad we did.

We had really great service and an amazing pizza.

We shared a Caesar salad that was very good. Fresh greens and a really well done dressing!

But the star of of the show is their new pizza The Merry Prankster! This pizza is loaded with green and red peppers, sausage, chicken and cheese and then so delightfully drizzled with an herby cream sauce.

Oh my goodness. She's divine. I cannot recommend this one enough. I loved it so much I am eating it again as I write this review. Go now and eat it

Sadly, I'm writing a negative review. We chose Mellow Mushroom because we love the chain and the food.

We asked for outdoor seating out of consideration for other guests ( my husband was on day 6 of Covid and did not want to risk getting anyone sick). We were told a 25 minute wait, which was fine on a busy Friday night at 7:20.

We were happy to be seated ahead of schedule and encouraged when our server appeared right away.

Sadly, it went downhill from there. We didn't see our server for 25 minutes, so we flagged another server because my husband wanted another beer.

45 minutes after ordering food and zero service or apology for lack thereof, I stopped the manager (Barbie) on my way back from the bathroom. I asked if there was any chance we would receive our food soon since it had been over 45 minutes since we ordered. Her answer? " we are not a fast food restaurant. You can expect an hour. ". Whaaat??? I was taken aback because this is not a high end restaurant. I am a mystery shopper for 5 star steakhouses that would be appalled if it took longer than 15 minutes to receive an entree. This is a pizza place!

The server was not at all interested in giving us good service, and it's no wonder when the manager's attitude was as it was.

The table beside us complained and was given coupons by their apologetic server. This is clearly a regular occurrence. It's a shame because the food was very good. That said, the service was not, and this is a very poorly managed restaurant. Pretty sure it was because we were seated outside. Each table had a different server, so it seems the outdoor tables were not part of anyone's section.

The food was good, but we spent over two hours at a pizza restaurant, and none of the staff cared. We will not return.
