Another great event flawlessly executed by Christina! We need to support more, and all, of her events - these shindigs are no easy matter.

It was nice to have an event outside of the short north/downtown proper.
And, Whole Foods is always a great choice.

Great themeing and collaboration among the vendors from DJ, to winery, to meadery to beer. Very nice vendor interaction as well. Very cool to be the first time out for mead-on-tap!

A fun evening to see the 80s and 90s prom finery.

It really was awkward - true to the intent! Heard a few comments from folks that were none too kind.

Wasn't a huge fan of the veggie option quesadillas. Whole Foods has so much more veg wonderment to showcase. Would have liked a few more seating options - there was plenty of room to dance, but a dinner time event needs a little sit-down space. We crashed the swag table and all was well.

So glad to contribute to a great cause. Wish I had time to figure out where I've stashed my old prom shoes!

(giant jenga frightens me - especially after being the one to knock it down at MoJoes! Move along, move along... nothing to see here...)

Yelp always has great events! The food provided was really good. There was turkey and honey mustard pin wheels, and a grilled chicken curry sliced wraps. Both of these were flavorful. There were also chicken quesadillas - sour cream and guacamole for a topping. Cheeses, cold salami and grilled veggies, even a fresh fruit tray that had juicy melon! The dessert trays housed several different cheesecakes and tarts.

I've never been in a Whole Foods. This one had ample space to roam the isles, and the cafe area was the perfect size for this Yelp event. There were some really groovy prom dresses - the best of the 80s, haha! Splendid night!

      Awkward? Yup. Awesome? Oh yeah!

This event was a blast! Strolling up to a busy Whole Foods while all dolled-up in prom finery - and boy, was that place hopping for a Friday evening - definitely meets the definition of awkward. Once inside, we found all the best and most awkward parts of prom were present! Christina, also in great costume, had corsages and boutonnieres for us to pin on one another. There was a DJ rocking the '80s jams with a little fog machine, and games on every table, ranging from Uno to the giant Jenga that other yelpers did a very impressive job with! Outfits ranged from casual to full-on dresses and suits, very festive.

The food, punch, and beers provided by Whole Foods were excellent. The trays ranged from an antipasti platter and fruit tray to quesadillas and wraps. By far, the most amazing platter was the desserts, which was loaded with gorgeous and delicious treats, including cannoli, fruit tarts, and really cute little mousse cups. They were all decorated beautifully - I had no idea that Whole Foods had such a creative staff. I will definitely be keeping their amazing platters in mind for my own events. The mead from Brothers Drake and the wine from Drink Ribera offered other great drink options, and there were plenty of tastes to be had.

Capping off the evening was the mandatory crowning of King and Queen, which was accompanied by an excellently awkward dance. And kudos to all yelpers for the huge armfuls of dresses and donations that the representative from Fairy Godmothers carried out!

      Terrific time - thanks, Christina!

We had a ball at prom last night. Christina was a great hostess. She had corsages and boutineers for us! That was a nice touch. The DJ was spot on with lots of classic '80s jams and the smallest fog machine ever. I can't imagine what the people at whole foods must have thought of us, all dressed up, music blasting, balloons everywhere, Yelpers know how to have a good time.

There were delicious snacks and drinky drinks. We hit the dessert tray pretty hard. Sugar!!! Whole Foods has nice produce, there were lots of berries and grapes to munch on.

Some folks were playing Jenga with the biggest pieces I have ever seen, I'm glad nobody was near it when it fell over! At the end of the night there were some awkward prizes awarded and even some awkward dancing by our King and Queen. We raised some money for a good cause. I'm glad I was able to come!

Ah, prom. That most awkward of all adolescent milestones. Who wouldn't want a chance to revisit that memorable childhood minefield armed with an adult's sense of humor (and a few alcoholic drinks)?

This event was true to its name. Approaching the entrance of Whole Foods in a tiered dress or a suit and tie is a mildly embarrassing experience. I compounded the feeling by forgetting the dress I'd intended to donate, so we had a double helping of awkwardness at the start. As usual, Christina to the rescue - with her truly outrageous puffy-sleeved circa 80's regalia and geeky glasses you couldn't help but feel less ridiculous. Kudos to this fine lady for always finding some special way to set us all at ease.

As far as the faire, I echo everyone's sentiments. The dessert plate was the star here, with tiny molded cups of marbled chocolate filled with airy mousse and topped with sugar flowers. Several different cheesecakes, ornamented with piped chocolate flowers and fresh berries. I wanted a little more from the wrap sandwiches, which were slightly soggy though sometimes very tasty. But the organic fruit was in no short supply, and the cheese and charcuterie selection was varied.

I am no stranger to Brothers Drake mead, they've been close friends for a lifetime and it was great to enjoy their mead at this party. There was also a delicious cider with "Fox" in the name, available at Whole Foods, that I have been craving for weeks. The drinks made all the difference, and I even had the courage to sneak in a quick dance before the end of the evening. And I'm glad I did, because I now have a nice romantic memory to go with my keepsake corsage.

As a nerdy bookish librarian sort of person, I usually excel in the awkward department, so the theme of this event was right up my alley. We were a little nervous driving up to the Whole Foods as we didn't see anyone else dressed up. There weren't all that many people when we arrived, but that just gave us more opportunity to scope out the food and drinks! I'll echo what Aaron said about the produce -- plenty of fresh berries, melons, grapes, etc. The desserts were my favourite part of the event (besides of course meeting some other Yelpers and chatting), while the mead was the boy's favourite. The DJ had appropriately cheesy prom music (but not so loud that you couldn't converse). About half of the people were dressed up -- suits and full prom gowns among them -- and half in regular casual clothes, so it was a good mix. This was a lot smaller than the other two Yelp events I'd attended (Glam Jam and Yelp in Toyland) and it was nice being able to sit down and chat with people and try to do some matching faces to Yelp profiles!

      Chocolate mousse cup of awesome.
That may or may not be someone's third cup of mead.
