Yannis Gyros

If you are in the mood for gyros- this is your joint. Truly authentic and delicious. It's one of my favorite to-go dinners. It's easy to call ahead and pop in to pickup- generally they are quite fast.

Inside the restaurant is quite small- but it's ok for a super casual eat-in. I wouldn't necessarily pick it for a date night, but my longtime date (AKA my hubby) and I really enjoyed it.

We tried Yannis Gyros last night. I have to say that I totally enjoyed the experience. Not just the food, but the ambiance as well. As we approached from the parking lot, I noted to my trusted copilot that you can't see inside. Having read a few negative reviews among mostly positive I said "we're going in!" What a treat this place is! I love taking a step back into time. The atmosphere is clean, friendly and well-lit. We thoroughly enjoyed the gyros baskets. I chuckled as I gladly paid the 25 cents for a refill on my Coke. My girlfriend tried to make me save some of my fries but I said "No, I'm having a very nice time and I'd like to finish them." I'll end this review with the photo of the throwback seating that encapsulates the quaintness of Yannis Gyros. I loved this place!

Springfields best gyros shop.

There is only one location and hours are limited but the flavor of the meat and the portions are on point.

I can't always get to the when they are open but when I do, I'm a happy camper.

Did they make that from scratch?

Best Greek food by far! A must try in Springfield. The falafel was nice and crunchy on the outside and yet fluffy on the inside. The tzatziki sauce was a traditional Greek tzatziki. Gyros were well seasoned and tender.

So this place is a bit of dive, but it should be taken at face value. Pretty good gyro, good sauce and lots of hot fries.

Let me start off with a little disclaimer; If my wife did not absolutely love her gyro this would be a lower rating! The place is filthy dirty, the service was non-existent and my food was average at best. We arrived before they were "staying open but only allowing to-go orders" but the people who ordered right before us were allowed to stay and eat.

My wife's exact words were "the food was amazing the service was crap". The local clientele rave about the gyros which is great but at some point when you are hanging all these local awards on your walls maybe take a little pride in your business (the awards are white the walls are stained yellow)...

Have heard great things for a long time, but only recently have had the chance to visit. Delicious gyro's and an added bonus being close to work! I recommend arriving early for lunch as they of course got alot busier after 12pm or so. Interested in purchasing some of the olive oil the advertise on our next visit, check them out!

I like their Gyros and their onion rings are also very good. I love their spanakopita and feta cheese too. These guys are great!

I've heard about Yanni's for years. I was just never in the area. Today I decided we should wait no longer. But what do I order? No worries the lady at the register made amazing suggestions! Pictured is a Dolmades in a dill lemon sauce. It was beyond Amazing! My Greek salad was loaded. My husband loved his gyro & ate most of my dolmades. He Said it was way more flavorful than gyro stop. I have a feeling this will now be one of our frequent stops. FANTASTIC!

Lady at the front was so rude and didn't care at all about anything. Gyro was average. Not going again
