Excellent seafood, if like Calimari this is the place for you! I had a bowl of the crab bisque and Calimari sampler. They have a version with banana peppers...this was the best I've ever tasted! Even my wife liked it and she only likes shrimp. Very nice bar and water view. I highly recommended them.

What a treat. Beautiful waterfront view, excellent service by Jason and yummy pasta. The food isn't "stellar," but the ambiance and infectious happy staff energy makes Yannis a great experience.

Great deck on a cute marina over looking the Hudson. A jazz brunch on Sunday is a great excuse for a bloody Mary.

Wow, what happened here? Been coming here for several years. Destination spot for us several times a summer. Willingly drove 35 minutes to get here. Experience this week was sub par. Food poorly cooked, drinks not what we ordered (out of ingredients), fried food tasted like it was cooked in old oil, waitress with attitude. There were a bunch of us and we all felt the same disappointment. I hate when my favorite restaurants go downhill. So sad.

We arrived at 6:50 pm on friday night and was told 45 minutes for a table outside. We then went to the bar to have a drink. After 30 minutes noticed a number of empty tables and asked about it. Were told "waiting for the kitchen to catch up should be about 10 minutes. After 1 hour and many complaints, still nothing therefore at 8:00 pm we finally walked out. There were other people ahead of us yet to be seated.
There is no reason to wait over an hour especially with empty tables and the three hostesses were just walking around checking the place. Guess this is another place we wont go back toHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - James M.Albany, NY036Aug 24, 2012
I had been to Yanni's 2 several times and enjoyed it. My wife said Yanni's Cucina had a nicer deck and better view, so we decided to bring my son there for dinner on his last night before going away to college. We arrived a little before 7:00 pm and got a space right in front. There were few cars, so we figured it wasn't crowded. We walked in to find that no one was sitting at an indoor table and only a handful of people were out on the deck. We were shocked when the hostess told us there would be a 30 minute wait! It seems they didn't have enough servers. We opted to sit at the bar and ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant. While we were at the bar we saw many parties come in and turn around and leave when confronted with the unreasonable wait. Must be nice to be able to turn away customers in this economy! I bet the Brown Derby management would have liked to be in that position! The food was OK, but nothing special (except for the calimari, which was outstanding). All around us people were complaining of food that was taking too long to arrive or wasn't hot. The wait staff was overwhelmed and did the best they could. What really frosted me was the woman sitting at the bar chit chatting away who I overheard was the owner. She should have been trying to get additional staff to come over from Yanni's 2 down the road or at the very least jumped in to help the servers. Guess she doesn't care! I know I won't be back. Anyway, we ended up getting home to Albany a lot later than we had planned with lots of stuff to do for my son's trip.
P.S. The view really is spectacular, but the bugs were terrible!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joseph G.Coeymans, NY01Jul 9, 2011
The views of the Hudson River are amazing. It is a nice summer getaway without getting away. I thought the food was decent. I loved the clams with marinara, tasty. The service we received was poor, but I am a service professional (so I can be critical). I just saw a lot of wasted steps by the server, who seemed overwhelmed with two tables. Despite the service being sub-par on the day I went, I would and have been recommending this restaurant. The food and view are worth it. Enjoy!

Love to sit on a deck overlooking the river and enjoy a nice seafood meal so when we pulled in and saw open seats both inside and outside we were happy considering it was a Saturday evening around 7:30. Unfortunately we were told it would be a half hr wait for inside seating and an hr wait for outside...huh? Not wanting to complain, we went to the bar to get a drink and were thinking those tables would be filled quickly. That was NOT the case. After finally getting a drink we stood for about a half hr and none if those seats were filled. When we asked about all of the empty seats we were told they were trying not to overwhelm the kitchen...what?!? When we asked if we could sit at 1 of the many empty tables to have our drinks we were told no. My husband wanted to leave but I said no. Definitely should have listened to him. The server was very nice but the food was not great. When paying over 20.00 for an entree one would think you would think you would have a choice of vegetable or starch. Nope. Needless to say it was a disappointing experience and we will not be going back.
