This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is good, reasonably priced and the service is excellent.
They serve home style food like meatloaf, fried chicken and that sort of food. You know, the stuff that we love to eat even though we know it's not really good for us, but what the heck, we live once, so we might as well enjoy the journey.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Jan 16, 2023Previous reviewI stop by Angie's Restaurant today, located at 335 Centerville Turnpike in the heart of Great Bridge.
The staff is very friendly and helpful with menu questions and suggestions if you are on the fence about what to order.
The food is consistently good and the ticket times are really quick, which means that your food gets to the table quickly.
If you're looking for a great place to enjoy a fantastic meal, check out Angie's Restaurant, you'll be glad you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting local businesses.Jul 27, 2020Previous reviewI have been by this place hundreds of times but for reasons that I do not understand, I did not stop. That all changed today and now I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner.
Angie's Restaurant is located at 335 South Centerville Turnpike in the heart of Great Bridge. When I walked through the door I saw the Specials board and I knew immediately what I wanted.
My server Alexis was very attentive and helpful with menu questions and suggestions if you are on the fence about what to order.
I started out with Iced tea, half sweet/half unsweetened, just the way I like it. I ordered the House Tossed Salad for $2.29. This is a generous portion of Iceberg lettuce, carrots, onion and tomato served on a chilled salad plate (always a plus) with Balsamic Vinaigrette. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The Balsamic tasted house made and it was very good as well.
For lunch, I ordered the Pork Barbecue Special for $7.99 served with Fresh Cut French Fries and Coleslaw. The Barbecue was slow roasted to perfection with just the right amount of smoky goodness that you expect in a good BBQ dish. The Fresh Cut French Fries were crispy and delicious. The coleslaw was very good as well.
The amazing thing is that they were running 4 minute ticket times. I try to set a timer right after the server leaves after taking my order and it was only 4 minutes to get my entree. I was still working on the salad when it arrived which was good because the Fries needed to cool down before I could eat them. I was in and out in 20 minutes.
If you are looking for a great place to have a meal in Great Bridge, check out the fine folks at Angie's Restaurant. You will be happy that you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting local business!!! - Jun 20, 2023Updated review
For the last few months I've been having breakfast at Angie's most Sunday mornings before going to a class I've been taking. It pays to get there early, and by early I'd say before 10am. After that there's a line to get into the place.
Service is quick and you'll get your drink order taken when you're seated. That means bottomless coffee. I've always found the staff to be super attentive when it comes to coffee and they'll often refill my mug as soon as it's empty.
Angie's has a fairly basic breakfast menu with various egg combinations you put together yourself. Omelets, Corned Beef Hash, etc. Also they have a Specials board in the foyer as you're coming in. Always check the board has it has non-menu items on it. It's a chalk board so when they run out of something, for example: Biscuits and Gravy, they'll remove it from the board.
They're a well oiled machine in my experience. They get you in there, get you fed quickly and you're ready to move onto your day. Portions and prices are in harmony as well.
Pros: Fast. Delicious. Great service, Coffee!
Cons: NoneHelpful 3Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0Jan 30, 2010Previous reviewAngie's is located in Chesapeake near the Centerville Turnpike & Mt. Pleasant Road intersection. Upon entering you'll notice the restaurant appears very plain. It's definitely a no frills establishment.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are served here and if memory serves me correctly anything on the menu no matter the time of the day. So if you want an omelet at 8pm, it's no problem.
I prefer to stop in for breakfast. They always put a pipping hot pot of coffee on the table and service is generally fast. The breakfast menu is large, and if an item isn't on the menu, say a skillet type meal (egg's, home fries, etc..) they have no problem throwing together a personal request.
If you're out in the Centerville area and want a no nonsense meal they're worth checking out. - Nov 30, 2023
A new fav! I'm stoked I tried it out. I had their chicken Parmesan and I completely devoured it. So saucy and so cheesey and so crisp. It was nothing short of perfection! Service was great. They seemed genuinely happy to work there. It was nice and cozy in the inside and gave the total family restaurant appeal as it was aiming to. They had a nice size menu but with how good my food was I def think I'll be ordering the chicken parm again!

It was okay overall. I'd go back for their fries and their onion rings. The kids burgers were huge but plain. They don't have pickles. That seemed weird but I guess if you don't use them for much, it makes sense but my kids were bummed. The kids spaghetti is very underwhelming. It's a good amount for a toddler but not for a hungry kid. My 8yo ate again as soon as we got home. Usually a kids spaghetti is too much for her at other restaurants. This was about 1/4 the size of other kids spaghettis we've ordered elsewhere. It was surprising.
We got the hamburger steak dinner all the way and steak sandwich and they were fine too. No complaints.
The service was also good but not great. We waited about 20-25 minutes for food after ordering but it was busy. We only waited about 15min for a table.
Our table was near a window and as the line got longer there were quite a few elderly waiting in line with no place to sit. It'd be great if they could add benches outside so they could sit while they wait. Several people in line had walkers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 3 - Mar 17, 2023
Fresh food at a low cost, with great service! Can't ask for better than that.
Angie's is tucked away a bit so you have to keep your eye out for the sign to find it. Plenty of parking out front. It has a family-friendly, casual ambience inside.
My friend and I were seated right away on a Sunday at lunchtime and our waitress took our drink orders immediately. When she came back with our drinks, I ordered a Greek salad and onion rings and my friend ordered chicken tenders and fries (from the kids' menu). They have a fairly large lunch/dinner menu and I've heard their breakfast is great.
My salad was filled with fresh ingredients and was big enough for an entree, even though it only cost $7.99. They do not have a Greek dressing, which seemed strange to me since there is a Greek salad on the menu, but the balsamic vinaigrette went very well with the salad. The onion rings were hot with nice crispy batter breading- a real treat! My friend enjoyed her meal as well.
If you're looking for quality basic dishes with friendly service and low prices, Angie's is the place for you!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Deborah W.CA, CA02721Mar 4, 2024

Angie's was a sweet surprise. I did not expect the inside to look the way it did. It had a home feel. Morgan was our server. She was so pleasant! We had a simple 2 egg breakfast. The eggs and corned beef hash tasted so fresh. They were cooked perfectly. We will definitely go back as breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!

Stopped in for lunch (first time for lunch here) with my daughter (since she's off school today...) and the place was SLAMMED! Waitress said it's like that everyday! They've really done it right here.
Delicious home cooked lunch! Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Very homie atmosphere. We had the Greek salad, Hamburg steak with onions and brown gravy, the soup special - lentils and sausage (YUMMY!), and the chocolate meringue pie for dessert. Sooo good! Actually going to take a nap now....!! We'll be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 9160282Nov 13, 2022
Good home cooking- I went for breakfast with a large party and they were able to accommodate us pretty easily on a Sunday morning. The chocolate milk was delicious (I love when it's mixed well) and my son said the hot chocolate was okay. The blueberry pancakes were okay but everyone loved the buttery toast that comes with most meals. The sausage and cheese omelet was very cheesy and good. My husband said the BLT was really good too. Our waitress gave great service, checking on us occasionally to attend to our needs. I would return here because it's a clean diner style restaurant with good food.

Angie's is the place that I've been passing since we moved to this place. But I've been hearing good things about it from my daughter who works in a dental clinic. So this time I passed it, I went in with a friend. Yes, it's nice, homey, comfortable place. Very clean and the staff are every pleasant and quick to come and serve. Food is warm when it arrived and generous portions. Taste: good homey food you'll love. I enjoyed my food I ordered and plan to come back again for the filling taste.
