It's pretty amazing how good the massage I had was. I walked in off the street after moving for like 5 hours and my body was just killing me! (I must be getting old cause my legs and my arms and my back were destroyed about 30 minutes in... but I digress)..
So I just yelp'd to find the nearest massage place and this popped up! I read the reviews and they didn't seem too great but I figured I would give it a shot. They started by working on my back.. they did my arms... then legs... all the time being extremely thoughtful to ask how I felt and if the pressure was right. I chose medium which I think was probably about right. I feel like hard would've made me feel worse.
Overall I just really enjoyed the whole experience. Plus the parking was really convenient and loved the fact I didn't need an appointment. I'll definitely be back, hopefully not feeling so awful when I walk in :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 23, 2016
The husband has had a stressful month at work, so he wanted to get a Couple's massage to unwind. He hasn't really liked any of the places I've taken him too yet, so I got on Yelp and searched for a place we haven't been.
I called on a Monday and they got us in on Wednesday. I really didn't read the reviews figuring he wouldn't like the place anyway, so I didn't know Tiffany wasn't the most liked. Husband got Tiffany and I got Thuy. He had no complaints with Tiffany. He actually said he liked her better than anyone that has massaged him. We've been to like 5 places previous to here. I liked my massage. Thuy did great. She was VERY persistent at getting my knots out.
It's husband approved. We shall return.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Bill A.Corpus Christi, TX276213Jul 10, 2019
Great massage but sadly a bit pricy. They do validate which is great. Parking lot is conveniently located so great for a quick walk in. No wait.

My husband and I have both done walk-in chair massages and we've loved them! Apple Pay was super convenient the day I accidentally left my wallet at home too. We'll keep coming back!

My husband and I recently got a couples massage here, and we both agreed we would return. It is set up more like a massage envy or the like, not a plush spa experience. With that said, the prices are reasonable and in line with the atmosphere.
Let's face it. Finding a new place for massages can be risky. There is a 'spa' near our home, but all their reviews were highly rated by infrequent yelp members. The place that was supposedly rated as the best by FW had a website ridden with spelling errors and their building looked sketch. The other places seemed to fall in line somewhere in the middle. I took a chance with Bliss given their location in a busy area, and a recent review by a reputable, local yelper. (Shoutout Lauren S.)
Our total was $180 for an hour and a half massage (before tip) which I think is totally reasonable. Both therapists seemed kind and I found mine to be very thorough in her approach. My husband fell asleep a few times during his massage, so I figure he must have felt relaxed as well.
Really glad to find a spot we were comfortable in, and close(ish) to home!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aaron W.Tarrant, TX04Aug 29, 2014
Tiffany was my message therapist and I schedule a 90 minute session with her. The first 30 minutes were amazing and Tiffany did a great job on my back. However, I found that she became tired and began complaining after the first 30 minutes and the remaining 60 minutes of the session was more of a rub than a message.
She also listens to her own iPod music, which I could hear, and talked loudly the entire session, so there was not really any opportunity for me to just enjoy the experience. Her conversation also took several awkward turns as she discussed her family drama and the disgusting experiences she has encountered with male clients in her career.
I cannot speak on the professionalism of the other workers here but I would NOT schedule a session with Tiffany.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeffrey W.Fort Worth, TX262Sep 18, 2010First to Review
Last month my sister and I decided it was finally time to check out Pure Bliss in the new West 7th development. My sister made an appointment and literally called me while on her way back to the office. "You must ask for Thuy!" she said. My sister isn't one for hyperbole, so of course I immediately called Thuy and booked a deep tissue. My back is always a little messed up from a car accident a few years back.
When I arrived, I was greeted by Thuy. Don't let her small stature or pleasant demeanor fool you. She has very strong, yet remarkably gentle hands.
The facilities are simple and elegant. Very clean and Professional. After an hour, you will be transported to another world. It's so good you may not want to come back.
The best part is that Thuy has a sense about physiology. It's like a 6th sense. She can find all your knots without much direction. But she is also very communicative so that if you have a specific need, she is more than willing to focus on that for you.
I must admit, having a bad week isn't such a bad thing after discovering Pure Bliss. You must go. Treat yourself to a little bit of heaven.
If you prefer very deep tissue work, she even has a Bamboo Massage that allows more pressure. There is a full menu of massage techniques: hot stone, swedish, couples. I plan on trying them all.
Trust me, you won't be disappointed.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Melissa R.Mesa, AZ1184Mar 15, 2014
I went here since the reviews were great. My therapist was Tiffany.
I got into the room and began to undress. I went to hang my clothing on the hook on the wall and the whole thing fell down. It was hung on picture hooks rather than screws. Then when the therapist came back into the room I had to try to explain to her how it was hung up wrong.
She talked a lot at first, and I started to become weary that maybe it wouldn't be very relaxing, but after telling me all about her experiences as a former furniture mover, thankfully I was able to relax without having to make conversation.
This was one of the most amazing massages I have ever had. I am very tight through my neck and shoulders and Tiffany was very strong. I was really impressed. She massaged my butt, which I have had done before, but just to warn some people who might find that uncomfortable. She then massaged my legs and did a really great job on my feet.
I then rolled over and she massaged my shoulders and my neck. When she was massaging my neck, it was a bit uncomfortable, as she massaged the front portion of my neck near my larynx. It was close enough to be slightly uncomfortable, but not bad enough for me to say something. She then stretched my neck with a sling.
And then it was over.
I was instantly very irritated. She never touched my arms ONCE. What is a full body massage without having your arms massaged?? I felt very out of whack and uncomfortable. And here I am 5 hours later and I still just feel totally unfinished. Not only that, but I had booked a 90 minute massage and she stopped, without finishing the full body, after 60 minutes. It's very difficult to leave a massage upset, but today, it happened. Wish she had clarified with me before everything began what I was there for. She seemed very rushed and not exactly the most calming of personalities.
As far as the facility itself goes, it was VERY noisy. Every time the front door to the salon opened there was a beeping noise that could be heard loud and clear from the room, as well as lots of talking and banging going on out in the hallway. It was not the most relaxing environment.
Overall, not impressed and probably won't be returning. I've experienced worse, for sure, but this one left me really unsatisfied. Not recommended.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Xochitl L.Mansfield, TX02Feb 12, 2019
I took my mother to get a massage here for her birthday on Monday, February 4, 2019 at around noon. My mother enjoyed her massage, but would have gotten the most out of it had it been nice and quiet. The suite next door (literally the other side of the wall) was under construction and all we heard was loud banging, and striking up against the wall. Had I known, I would have scheduled my mother at a different time, or gone elsewhere. Lisa (masseuse) was great, however, she never acknowledged that the noise was a nuisance, so as to at the very least offer an apology.

Finally a great massage place and it's close to home. I was searching on yelp and though this place didn't have many reviews (and some people really hate Tiffany) I decided to give it a try. I called on a Thursday to book a couples massage for the weekend and they had appointments available Saturday and Sunday. I booked for Saturday and crossed my fingers that Tiffany wasn't working.
For a couples massage for 1 hour the price is $135. To add an additional 30 minutes it brought the total to $180 and then I tacked on some deep tissue and hot stones and brought my total to $210. I mean go hard, right? I'm all about the most relaxation, all the extras, yes please.
My therapist was Chris and the hubby had Thuy. At the end of our massages we both talked to each other and agreed that this was one of the best massages we have had in a long time. Two thumbs up that it's in So 7 plaza. I really had no idea they were located there and I am all over that place all the damn time. They are hidden by the ice cream sandwich shop and the movie tavern.
My massage was perfect. I had some serious tension and knots going on a Chris went HAM and got out what he could. I know that I won't be complete jelly in just one session, but this is my new spot. Not only did he work out what he could, he made sure to get my joints, range of motion, scalp and face. It was wonderful and I'm looking forward to our next appointment!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
