Main Street Computer Store

My normal tech guy took 2+ hours and couldn't resolve a printer issue. I spoke with Charles at Main Street Computers who remoted in to my computer and resolved the problem in 15 minutes. I'll definitely be using main Street Computers in the future! Charles, you rock!

I have to say that Main Street Computer is a place you can count on. The owner, Charles, is a dedicated, knowledgeable, and honest professional. At our company we have a number of computers in need of upgrades and Charles was just awesome in accommodating our need for zero downtime. No computers , no business. Charles volunteered to work on the weekend to get our first three upgrades, so we would have no downtime. His expertise is hard to match. I have a Technology Management MBA and understand a thing or two about computers and networks. Upon discussing our needs with Charles, he opened a Pandora box of knowledge that was a pleasure and an opportunity to learn a bit more.

I've been a customer of Main Street Computers for 12+ years and will continue to seek there help every time I need it. Charles is an honest person and very computer smart.
He will get the job done, and if estimated cost of repairs is higher than the value of your computer, he will explain the options.
Sometimes I think I can do it myself, and when it goes over my head he's there to answer my questions on what I need to do, or bring it in and he'll put all the pieces back together and doesn't take it personal. I won't go anywhere else when it comes to computers.

I am shocked at the negative reviews on here, we have had exactly the opposite experience. We had an easy and painless computer repair. Helpful, friendly, local shop! It could be a little more tidy but that's my only complaint
*I had to open the "filtered reviews" to see that the other 3 reviews available are all extremely positive. Why is Yelp showing only 2 of 5 available, and and both are negative?

What a nightmare, I tried for zero stars but it wasn't an option. Let me suggest you go elsewhere if you value your computer or your time.

Because I am a virtual Luddite, multiple times over at least the past 5 years, I've turned to Charles and Main Street Computer to help me solve both software and hardware issues with various PC's. My single regret over all those visits is that I've neglected to leave him a 5 Star rating until now. Last week I received a new computer and was running into one problem after the other, simply trying to connect to my WiFi, transfer my files, my email etc. Charles told me to bring both computers in to his shop and he'd take care of it while I waited, as he has done for me in the past. I wasn't able to do that, so he offered to come to my home and do the work. He arrived on time, and as always, was able to take care of every issue....and all in about an hour! While I hovered, watching him work, he actually took the time to explain to me just what he was doing, and he did it in plain English. To make the experience even more positive, his rate beats any I'm aware of with tech home visits.

Nothing to do with computers, but my daughter's cat, who is chronically anti-social, came out of hiding and for some inexplicable reason, bonded with Charles, sitting at his feet, following him from one room to the other, begging for his attention. He explained that he has two cats of his own, so he's a cat person. Just don't know how my daughter's cat could possibly know that...The cat doesn't even like ME! :-)

I don't get the bad reviews, and they don't seem to explain themselves either. All I can say is I brought my desktop down for repair and was more than happy with the service and the price. The owner went over and above and I walked out thankful that I will never have to deal with Geek Squad again. In fact, knowing he's there to upgrade my components as I need them, I may never buy another computer again.

He stays on top of new technology and will work with what you have.

I just got my computer back from Main Street Computers and I am most pleased. Charles got rid of my virus, installed additional memory, and answered all my questions.

Great service and at a reasonable price.

Do not use this store. Service is lacking. Promises and money taken without delivering the service. I agree with the previous reviewer dealing with this store is a nightmare. And it deserves zero and minus stars
