I will admit when I arrived at this hotel after my work booked it for me, I was sketched out. The outside looks like a creepy motel from a horror movie. However, when I walked inside, there was a roaring fireplace and Christmas tree set up and several people sitting in the lobby chatting.
The front desk worker was very nice and explained everything to me. I like that depending on where your room is, you can park near a different entrance/exit and avoid the front door every time.
The rooms are outdated with the bathroom being very outdated. My bathtub looked like they had peeled away old yellow paint and repainted white. The corners of the bathroom floor were crusty and dirty. The TV was small and the volume only went to 35 which made it hard to hear. The rooms were thin and I could hear others talking and moving around.
I did not like that I was on the first floor and I had to use a clothes hanger to pin the curtains shut as there was a natural void for any creeps to peer inside my room if they wanted.
The free breakfast was good. They have dry foods such as cereal, bags and a waffle maker. They also have hot breakfast served by the employee which included bacon, sausage links, gravy, biscuits and eggs. Also different options of juices and coffee.
There's a cash bar here but I did not go it. They also have an indoor pool and workout room that looked empty and a few machines but would get the job done for someone wanted to work out.
The location is great. Right down the street from the interstate and Sheetz is right next door.
Overall I think it's a good deal for the price but could use some room and outside renovations.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 5, 2023
Not sure if there was a change in management but David Burke called regarding a disappointing stay. He assured me a partial refund. After lack of further response I contacted Expedia to see if David had contacted them as he said he would. They made contact with the hotel and denied any partial refund.
There was major construction which wasn't reported. They took out the hot tub and the pool was closed. The hallways were dirty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Suzanne H.San Fernando Valley, CA2783Jul 2, 2023
My husband said 2.5 stars but I'm saying 3.
PROS: Most of the staff here is incredibly nice and very helpful (especially the folks doing breakfast & a couple ladies at the front desk). Housekeeping keeps the rooms as clean as they can. Cost is on the lower end, compared to other hotels in the area. We booked several days through their website and got an even deeper discount. It's next door to a Sheetz and Walmart, strip mall, restaurants, and the casino.
CONS: The building is old. No getting around it. Some items have been updated but it's not modern and has an older smell. Replacing the carpet would probably go a long way. Our room was towards the back of the hotel, on the 2nd floor, and it was a longggggg walk to the elevator whenever we had heavy items to take to our room. The lock on the exterior door was broken so it was easy to gain access without typing in the doorcode. The biggest turnoff was the laundry room (which is important to our family during long stays). There was stagnant water in the bottom of the washer that had clearly been there a while, and my husband had to really scrub his hand to get the smell off (thank goodness he didn't put our clothes in).
Overall, it served the purpose we needed for the long term stay while we tended to business in the area, without breaking the bank, but it's not the kind of place we would choose for a relaxing stay.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ulyana K.Pittsburgh, PA134081281Aug 12, 2022
Not a great experience overall. The only redeeming factors about the hotel are the price and the friendly employees. I stayed here while doing business in the area. I figured that swimming in one of 2 pools would be a great way to relax afterwards, especially for the price. Well, it could have definitely been better.
The first thing I noticed about the hotel is the smell of marijuana in the elevator. Then, when I got up to the hotel room, I tried to get in with the key cards they gave me. It took me no less than 10 tries to successfully use this card. I swiped it almost the same way 10 times, and it magically opened on the 10th.
The room itself was somewhat chilly when I got in. I changed the temperature and it started to heat up quickly. But, there was another odd burnt smell coming from the conditioner. It was dirty, too. Breakfast was decent. Food was nothing special, but the guy serving breakfast was awesome. Very friendly, even though I just had some coffee he offered me some freshly cooked food.
The pools were nice. Not too many people at night or during the day. Expect it to be more crowded at 9 pm than at 11 am, though. There were loads of what seemed to be pool algae all around the pool (dark green in color) but the water itself was clean. Good ambiance with the rocks and faux plants. Not too cold or too warm. Decent fitness center, too. Treadmill worked fine, they had dumbbells and a few other strength training machines. Pretty basic and small.
It's a bit tough to sleep during the night. They didn't give any pillows or blankets for the 2nd room with the pull out bed. You can hear everything and I was a bit concerned about a door near my room. People walking in and out all the time and you will surely hear some of that.
All in all, if you want a cheap hotel with 2 pools, this may be the place. The location is pretty convenient and the employees were very friendly. There are some cleanliness, room entrance, and sleeping issues, though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John M.IL, IL02Aug 12, 2023
DO Not stay here ! My Credit Card Identity was suspected stolen here on a Vacation stop overnight on our way to Sandbridge, Va., The Only good thing was the employees that ran the Breakfast Buffet, they were kind and Caring Ladies ! The Bar was closed when we arrived, and there wasn't even a bottle of water at the front desk for sale upon Arrival ! I can't believe that Wyndham would put their name on this Hotel ! I contacted Corporate Wyndham, and all they responded was for us to work with the hotel Mgr. ! What a Joke !
I will NEVER stay at a Wyndham Hotel Again ! Have a great Day !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Heather M.Culver City, CA0265Mar 5, 2022
Loud. Dirty. Smoking in hallways. No hot water. When inquiring about the lack of hot water, was told by staff "There's a lot of people taking showers right now. You just have to wait." Are you kidding me?
Checking out early to find something cleaner, nicer and respectful. If we could give this place 0, we would.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debbi S.NC, NC01Sep 11, 2023
My family and I recently stayed 1 night, reserving two rooms. The staff was very kind. However, both rooms had a HORRIBLE ODOR and the carpeting were FILTHY. Upon arrival there were two deputy sheriff cars in the parking lot. The front desk attendant advised that she was not at liberty to say why??? Had we not been so incredibly tired from traveling, I would have asked for a refund and found a different hotel. I definitely recommend you steer clear from this hotel.

We were road trippin' across the country. Not the "for fun" kind, mind you, but the "gotta get there" kind.
So, when needing a clean, reasonably priced place to lay our heads for the night with no reservations? These guys were just the ticket!
Possibly the best part? Jessica (I think) who helped check us in was a solid trooper! Efficient, nice, and she worked her a$$ off for the endless, nonstop line of people all wanting the same thing. Kudos to her!
The room? Great! Just the ticket!
Breakfast in the morning? Despite COVID-19 restrictions? They rocked!
A solid satiated customer here! We'd definitely stay here again if needed, and if you're looking in this area? Give 'em a go, I think you'll be equally content.
Cheers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Steve G.WV, WV01Jul 22, 2023
