Wonder Bar

A nice little dive bar- seats about 14! We went during a Sunday day a were met by a friendly bartender and customers. Awesome vintage signage outside-unremarkable decor inside. Lots of mirrors behind the bar.

The staff is awesome. Especially bartenders, TJ and Courtney. Fair priced drinks. Welcoming to everyone as long as you can be respectful

I've been back to the "Smoking" dive bar and not much has changed. There is a small shift in crowd so average age is 58 on most nights. Not all dive bars have the smoke issue. So if you like the Smokiness of a dive bar, going home smelling like an ashtray, and hanging with older cool people is your thing than you're home here.

I think there's better choices within walking distance. It would be nice if the owner didn't respond with a snarky comment and maybe took constructive criticism, fix your exhaust system and I would happily give you a 4 rating for an authentic dive bar. As you can tell by the owners response they don't care and not going to change.

Staff are friendly, and at least the one bartender isn't asleep behind the bar (maybe they switched him out or I came on a day he wasn't there).

I'll give it a 2 star rating because it looks like they're cleaning up and painting a bit, but it really should be a one.

Ryan's is a dive bar, a bit clampish for my taste but whatever
Vassar Lounge has lots of parking and pool tables, but more than walking distance
I think there's a new scene happening off 6th street or is that 4th, new changes down there.

This bar is HANDS DOWN my favorite in Reno. We stop here every time we're in town. I love the owner Kathy. Chris and TJ are awesome!! They are usually tending bar when we come in. The regulars welcome us wholeheartedly and I appreciate that in a dive bar. Dive bar etiquette is pretty simple. Don't be an Asshole . thank you W for all the fun times!!

Wonder Bar is a true diamond in the rough. I've always enjoyed the customers as much as the staff, regardless of the review left by Tiffany S. What Tiffany forgot to mention was that her mother forgot to teach her simple manners, like saying "Excuse me" when she bumps into people...weird concept right?! So please, ignore the pathetic one star review by this lady who is attempting to hurt a locally owned business over her lack of manners.

We love you Wonder Bar and can't wait for our next adventure with you.

It's a nice spot to chill and spend some time. My favorite bartender is Momma T she is so chill and work's Wednesday night, go by and catch some titty. There's always a good time to be had in here.

Really fun atmosphere! Everyone is super social and friendly and all the bartenders are really cool people.

Here's the thing. I love wonderbar, because I love the bartenders. The reason I'm giving such a low review is because of the patrons. We went there after a wedding near by and from the moment we walked in, people were immediately put off from us. They gave us looks and were rude. Rude isn't even an appropriate response. I can honestly say I will never step foot in the bar again because of the overwhelming response of unwelcomeness we received. We are good people, we paid for our drinks, and truly went with the intention of supporting a local bar. its unfortunate to say, but if you are looking for a local chill place, this is not it. Not because of the welcoming bartenders but because of the other assholes who go there.

Updating my review since the staff reached out to me and let me know that they did not hire the horrible DJ LOL.

Visiting a friend in Reno, she brought me to her favourite hang out. It's now my favourite hang out and I want to pick it up and bring it home with me. The barkeeps were awesome, especially TJ. I felt like I'd known her for years. She made me feel so welcome and was very entertaining. There is a surprise walk out courtyard through the back. Charming and homey feel makes me want to return to Reno again, just to feel so at home in a bar. Cheers!

The bar is authentic and Kathy the bar tender amazing! Love the vibe! I enjoy the mimosa Saturday when I am able to make it.
