Dr. Le is the best optometrist in Tyler. She is kind and patient and very knowledgeable. She is more than a doctor but a great friend.
After the appointment, we stepped into Eyeglass World. My daughter was able to find frames that were on clearance. Craig quickly called us over and started on the insurance. We used insurance to pay for the contacts and got a nice discount on the glasses. We had a friendly conversation that made the whole buying experience very pleasant. I have a pair of Tiffany Co. sunglasses that I've had forever, but the screw fell out for one of the earpieces last week. I've been trying screws from eyeglass kits, but they were all too short. I went into Eyeglass World today to the Tyler location- and the technician was glad to look at them even though my sunglasses were not bought there. My 12yo daughters contact lens fell out while we were in Tyler. I went to Eyeglass World since we usually do business here. We walk into a busy store on a Saturday afternoon and the store is packed with people... But literally there was a Prince who came to our rescue... Not only did he allow her to rinse the contact and put it back in, but then provided a case and solution in case we had any further trouble... Thank you Prince for providing great customer service!!

Continuing problems with a first pair of prescription shades and prescription clears. Frames, tinting, ear pieces coming loose, lenses falling out. Got them replaced with an incredibly long wait. Second pair of shades the right lens just fell out and broke. When I brought it in, they quoted me a $250+ package.
Really junky stuff. Should have listened to my wife.

Called Aug 7th to schedule appointment..staff not exactly to friendly.. asked to schedule appointment was interrupted and informed I would have to wait till next week..which was exactly when I had planned on scheduling so I asked for appointment for Tuesday after 2:30 and was informed they had a 2:30 opening..so today Tuesday I took off work early drove the 30 miles was greeted with a temperature check and informed they did not have me on the schedule? Escorted me to front dest and nope they didn't have me anywhere so I take my phone out and showed them when I had called..oh so now they find me on September 11 at 2:30...so they informed me I could wait an hour to an hour and a half! Put your cell phone up and so your job! Dr. Is sweet but I am done with this staff

I'm not one for reviewing merchants much, but this is a special case. A week or so ago, I broke my only pair of glasses, permanently. Panic of course, since I need them to drive, let alone see anything within a foot or two. It was Friday so I went to town on Saturday looking for some immediate help.
First stop was a loss, all I heard from them was what they couldn't do, and that in an unpleasant tone. I got out of there quickly and went across the street to Eyeglass World.
All good here with and obvious concern for my plight and a promise to do everything possible to get me seeing again, quickly. First, of course, was a fresh exam since it had been a couple of years since my last one. Next door was the optometrist where for $45 (no insurance) I got what might have been the best vision test I have ever had (over 50 years). Pleasant, efficient and a 20-20 script in a matter of a few minutes. My last exam, for example, could not provide better than a 20-25 script - FAIL!
Back to Eyeglasses where the offer was two pair of single vision glasses for $78. Of course I needed at least dual vision (bifocals) and I have had lineless tri-focals for years. My first need was something to see with and that they provided, a single vision lens to correct my astigmatism so I could drive. Within a couple of hours I had an eye exam, picked out two frames, selected the lenses to suit my needs, gotten something to tide me over for a couple of days, and was on my way. Cost? Just over $300, about the same I paid two years ago for one pair of glasses, put into the old frames.
I might add here that I had received two follow-up phone calls from them inquiring about my satisfaction, prior to my return.
All this was not without issues of course and that is what this review is really about. When I picked up my glasses the following week the first thing I noticed was that my clip-on sunglasses would not fit. The new lenses were too big. How did that happen? I had been careful to select a matching size to my old glasses, because I have multiple pairs of these clip-ons. Additionally, the glasses that I had did not fit well. Perhaps an oversight by the technician. I returned the following week to get them refitted. I asked for the manager, La Toya.
In the course of refitting, I brought up the fact of the frames being too large for the clip-ons. No problem, go find the frames you want and we will exchange them." Really? Who would have thought that. I found a frame that I remembered selecting initially and off they went to be redone. My other pair was adjusted perfectly and I was so happy I inquired about some single vision sunglasses. Needless to say, the price and service was so impressive I ordered a pair of those too.
Bottom line? Service, product, follow-up, damage control, personality, value? All excellent!! Thanks LaToya for your patience, understanding and thoroughness. You have a customer for life!

Excellent service and a very convenient location. Their competition across the street is always too busy and slow to suit me, so I tried eyeglass world out this year. The service was excellent, the selection was MUCH better, and pricing was fair. Excellent experience overall.
