Pretty decent place. They have a lot of odd things to choose from, and it can be a little overwhelming to some people, but rest assured, I nor you are one of those people!
I usually go with the spicy option. Not always the spiciest, because I like to enjoy my meal normally, so we probably got something in the medium area. Probably got something else on the list too. Garlic Parmesan? Who knows! This was months ago. Anyway, they serve you a whole mess of food and the fries are good too. Not sure if there was a ton of seasoning on the fries, but some people are super into that.
I would just ask them if you are concerned. They are a friendly bunch of people. Oh, I guess there's also some Chinese food place that is attached (and owned?) by the same dude. I believe. I don't know.
If you're reading this, it probably isn't because you're looking for chinese food. But the Wings are good here!Helpful 19Thanks 0Love this 16Oh no 0 - Jun 24, 2016
We came here on a Saturday afternoon. only one other table was occupied.
The lady behind the register was reading a book. but took our order.
The TV was on ESPN..BUT for the entire time we were in there it was playing some depressing infomercial. (change the channel!)
We ordered sweet potato fries (Huge order) for $4. and a tri tip dip sandwich. I always find tri tip dry - but we asked the lady what the best dip sandwich was and she said tri tip, so we went with it. it was a bit dry and the dipping sauce was "ok" just kinda salty.
I am sad a passed up an opportunity to go again to the great (new-ish) falafel place across the street!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 23, 2016
I really wanted to like this place. It's a wings place, I'm a huge wings lover, and it's near my house. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan.
I went with the garlic and Cajun 10 piece. What I like about this place is that the wings come out, mixed with French fries onions and peppers so the flavor blends with all the food. My friend and I each ordered the 10 piece. When they came out, I told my friend "dang! Yours looks so much better than mine!" Turns out, after counting the wings, they only gave me 7. 7 out of 10. When the price points (6 wings or 10) are determined off of how many wings you order, this was pretty crazy to mess up. At least they were quick to fix this though...like, 2 minutes quick... Did they have wings just sitting in the back prepared? I dunno.
Anyways for me I didn't like the flavor at all. They were seasonings based (Cajun, salt, garlic, whatever else) and not sauced, but for me, they were waaaay too garlicky. You get what you pay for I guess though, they were garlic Cajun. My friend seemed to like it though, he's always been a fan of extremely salty food.
Not for me though.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 246228506Jan 26, 2016Updated review
Made plans to come here with some friends and was so shocked to find out that they moved locations. Given, it's only 10 steps away. But it's a smaller location that shares a building with a fast food Chinese restaurant. Sign was blinking, making it not very inviting from the outside.
Tables were arranged in a way that made no sense. Some of the tables had no chairs and overall, it was overcrowded.
SO sad! I loved this place but I think the appearance of this restaurant looks unkempt now.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Dec 10, 2015Previous reviewFavorite wing joint hands-down! Definitely try their garlic cajun wings. It comes in a tin tray with 6 or 10 wings and fries. The fries and wings are cooked in the same style and they are perfection. Such a nice crisp and flavor. If you're into super saucy chicken, then I'm not sure this will be the right place for you.

5/8/15, 5/28/15 (update): Had to come back. And again.
1. Tri-Tip Smoked Cheese Steak $11.95: It's good. But not epic. Was a little drier than the brisket cheese steak I had last time, probably due to leaner meat. Was still a good sandwich--the bread is soft and warm like always. Just wish the tri tip was as juicy as some of the best ones I've had at full on restaurants. 7.5/10
2. Smoked Brisket French Dip $10.95: Just tried my first french dip here. As a sandwich, again, it's good but not epic. The brisket was drier than the one I had in my last 'wit 'whiz version, or maybe all that cheese just covered up the finer textures. Bread again was great though. But I think the biggest problem for this french dip was the dip... it was so weird! Like some kind of herbal soup--it's definitely not like any french dip sauce I've ever had before. And though it's unique, I don't think it actually tastes good. So, I'd give the sandwich a 7/10, but since they do call it a french dip, I'd have to say given the really bad sauce, 4/10.
Signature Recipe Wings:
2. Garlic Parmesan Wings 6 Pieces $7.95: So after sampling many of there wing flavors, I think these Signature Recipe Wings are definitely where it's at! They combine fries, lots of spices, and the wings all in one dish. It's a fried food lover's dream! And the garlic parmesan wings are definitely garlicky and fried so crispy... tons of flavors. You can totally see all the flavor crystals all over, shining and glistening. Mmmmmm... 10/10
3. Garlic Cajun Wings 6 Pieces $7.95: Same deal as the garlic parmesan wings--totally epic, but with a slightly different cajun spice kick. Awesome. 10/10
Original Wings:
4. Tamarind 10 Pieces $10.95: After having the Signature wings, I'd have to say these are a bit of a let down, though compared to any other wings from various other places, they're still above average. I'm not sure I'm into this tamarind flavor--I typically love the tangy taste, but I dunno what it is with this one... just think I prefer other flavors. This time not each wing was perfect--some were drier than others. A little inconsistent this time around. Anyway, they were good, but I've had better here. 7/10.
So, today I finally had the first thing I did not like here--do NOT get the French Dip!!! Bad. But do get the Signature Recipe Wings! Some of the best wings you'll ever have in your life!

1. Smoked Brisket Nacho Cheese Steak $10.95: As they would say in Philly, "Wit' whiz!" It's pretty much a Philly cheesesteak but with smoked brisket instead of the standard meat. To be honest, I can't tell how much smoke there is since there's quite a bit of the nacho cheese which kinda took over the taste. But I didn't mind--it would have been goodness either way. The bread is so soft and warm--some of the best bread I've had for a cheesesteak (though could have been just a product of excellent microwaving, ha ha). There were some nice soft, savory and fatty brisket pieces in there, though I did find some drier portions too. The pieces varied between chopped and longer sliced pieces. Overall the whole thing tasted amazing. Definitely will be hated by your heart, but loved by your mouth! 9/10.
In the last review I went over the wings, which are some of the best ever too. Feel free to read the original review for more details on their namesake.

#cheesesteak #friedchicken #wings #buffalowingsFeb 12, 2015Previous review2/12/15: Best wings place there is. Buffalo Wild Wings, Wingstop, SmokeEaters, ... blah blah blah... all bow to the new king!
1. House Garlic Wings (6pcs) $7.95: First time I've seen wings served this way--it's a pile of garlic seasoned fries, lightly cooked red onions, and of course garlic fried wings, all tossed together! The wings are somewhat battered, but not heavily, and fried so crispy, soaked in savory oil but not wet with grease. The garlic is strong, the wings are big and juicy, and the fried coating awesome. Only complaint I have is that it's quite salty. I mean REALLY salty. But they taste so good I kept stuffing my face and it wasn't as salty no more. 8/10.
2. BBQ Wings (6pcs) $6.95: I've never had a sauce like this one before. Some kind of flavoring or spice--I just can't place it. Something is special inside, but familiar. Anyway, tastes really great! Very sweet, like honey molasses. And that spice... so good. Maybe the best BBQ wings I've ever had. 9/10.
3. Cajun Wings (6pcs) $6.95: These were really special too! There's a ton of fried bits of stuff with lots of crunchy junk--yeah, I know, too detailed ha ha. I dunno what to say--it's really a pile of fried little bits of crunchy stuff. Anyway, that fried random stuff is mixed in with the chicken, and the whole mess is a pile of fried awesomeness! If you like fried stuff, this is your chicken! 8.5/10.
4. Buffalo Wings (6pcs) $6.95: The only wings I didn't like so much. The buffalo sauce was really sour, like too much so. I know it's kinda supposed to be tangy, but this one is overboard. Not that hot--I would say about tabasco level. Maybe even less. I guess it's subjective, but I can go far hotter. Anyway, this one to me was a pile of vinegar chicken with a dash of hotness. Not that great. 4/10.
5. Onion Rings $4.00: Man, so much great wings, and even the fries that were mixed with the Garlic Wings, but the rings..... waaaa? Soggy, tasteless batter. That's right... everything else perfectly fried, but the one item that exemplifies fried batter is a pile of soggy crap! Don't understand how they could have screwed this one up so bad, but anyway, needless to say... skip. 2/10.
So, these are not the best wings (or fried chicken) I've ever had. If you are ever in SoCal, you can get the bestest @ Hot n Sweet Chicken:
http://www.yelp.com/biz/hot-n-sweet-chicken-arcadia?hrid=gmep7YJHSR4Bjt-patOmlg
But... this is the very best restaurant that specializes in wings specifically, that I've had. And for being the very best in class, it gets a 5/5.

EDIT: I've been told by a reliable source that this place sux, but no chicken wings were tried. So, as you can see I thought their onion rings sucked bad, and the buffalo wings were nothing great. I would recommend only sticking to the specialty wings--everything else seems a gamble. - 7367733411Apr 4, 2015
We were tired and hungry from all the moving for my cousin and his fiance's new place. We were Yelping somewhere nearby and found a great chicken wing's joint in town!
We ordered 3 garlic fries and 30 pieces of wings with 20 lemon pepper and 10 garlic butter. The chicken wings were delicious and crispy on the outside. They did not put too much sauce which is good, so you can taste the meat of the chicken.
Great chicken wings and I thought they tasted a lot better than Wingstop. When I visit my cousin and his fiance's new place, I would definitely stop by here again.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 57015572153Nov 20, 2016
This place has some serious identity issues! First of all the place is called Wings Dip, but its catchphrase underneath its sign says, "Home of the French Dip." I've mentioned in my previous reviews about how much I absolutely love French Dip sandwiches, so naturally the restaurant called out to me. Sure, duh--the restaurant is called Wings Dip, but how do you call yourself "Home of the French Dip" when literally 50% of the menu are wings and only a quarter of the menu has French dip options? That's false advertising. Secondly, when I was waiting for my order and a guest asked, "What's good here?", the cashier just started naming everything off the menu. I think she was even confused as to what really is the specialty of the restaurant! Lol.
Anyway, I ordered the brisket French dip and a side of fries to share with my boyfriend. The side of fries is actually a giant order of fries. It comes out on a tray, and there is more than enough for sharing between two people. The brisket French dip was so disappointing that I couldn't finish my half. What make a great French dip to me are 1.) the quality of meat, and 2.) the quality of the au jus. The brisket in the French dip was braised rather than sliced, and it was not only overly seasoned but had some sort of sloppy joe type of chili seasoning. Major turn off right away. You don't need to go overboard with the seasoning on the meat, because the au jus adds saltiness and flavor to the sandwich. On top of the brisket being all salty and way too bold, the au jus was just as salty.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Nov 28, 2014
Just finished eating here.
Honestly never thought of coming here but family wanted try it here so came. I was pleasantly surprised with the food! We had a sandwich which I could care less for but the Cajun chicken and BBQ were very good! The fries that came with the Cajun chicken were seriously good. The garlic and jalapeños together are the best combo~
Though one thingy I really didn't like is their plastic utensils. When the food is really hot and plastic utensils are used, they become bendy and break. Also they had no knives available -___-"
P.s I don't have the prices since I didn't pay.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 2595861206Sep 14, 2014
The hubs and I popped in here yesterday (Saturday) for lunch around 1ish. I wanted to try somewhere different and I'm a HUGE French dip fan so I followed my fellow Yelpers suggestions and off we went.
Okay, so lets start with the simple fact that this place was obviously originally a Taco Bell. They've painted it a deep red but ... it still looks like a taco bell from the outside. The parking lot was pretty empty (maybe 3 cars) so yet again the hubs was ready to leave because no cars means bad food in his eyes. But the amazing smoky BBQ aroma coming in our car windows drew us in.
The interior was absolutely not what I was expecting. Outside ... Taco Bell .. inside ... classy well decorated little BBQ spot. They even had TV's so the hubs could watch sports instead of making conversation with the Wifey. Whatever.
The amazing BBQ smell was so good. I swear it made it hard to order because I really wanted to try everything! But we settled on splitting the Tri-tip French dip, garlic fries and coleslaw. Oh and a bottled water because the don't have ice or tap water. That's kinda weird right? Oh well, they have bottled water and soda's.
Service was great. The cashier/server was very nice and our food came out pretty quick. I asked for a second ramekin of aju because let's face it ... I like to have my OWN dippy sauce. They brought an extra one out at no additional charge. Yay!
Okay now for the food review:
Tri-tip French Dip; large enough to split but could have used a tad more meat for the price they charge. I know BBQ's generally expensive due to how much labor is involved but I would think we deserved some more meat for our money. The grilled onions were sweet and perfectly cooked. The bread was soft but held up to the dunking into the aju. The tri-tip was moist and tender and perfectly smoky. Unfortunately the meat was WAY WAY WAY to salty. It was so disappointing. I absolutely loved everything about this sandwich but the excessive salt really killed it for me. However ... we did eat the entire thing!
Aju was great by the way. Not overly salty and had great flavor!
Garlic French Fries: Thin cut, crispy outside, tender inside. Not overly garlicky or salty. LOTS of them so plan to share a basket with a few other people.
Coleslaw: Crisp, not to much mayo and had a slight kick to it. The only thing I would have liked was a tad more tang. I'm a vinegar girl so I would have added more of that. But otherwise it was a nice side to cut the richness of the sandwich and the fries.
Athough the meat was super salty, the hubs and I agreed we'd give it another try. Maybe the pork next time.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lina R.Queens, NY02328Jan 13, 2018
A bit on the expensive side but totally worth it! Only experience with the food here is from ordering delivery.
Wings are perfectly seasoned and cooked. They come with fries mixed with onions and jalapeños. The fries tend to soak up whatever seasoning you choose for the fries...amazing.
The tri-tip and brisket french dip has never disappointed. Def recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
