I had the pulled pork, mac and cheese, and collard greens. NONE of it looked appealing when it arrived so I knew I was in for a treat (insert sarcasm). I could tell by the texture of the greens that they weren't quite done. They tasted like nothing but vinegar. The pulled pork looked like mush and was rather dry. The mac and cheese was just that - macaroni noodles with a huge chunk of cheese thrown on top. Needless to say, I will NOT impressed and won't be back.

We were at crackle barrel when we smelled the bbq, and we decided to try it out. Let me just say, it was the best decision ever. The catfish was amazing. The fries was amazing. The bbq was amazing. My 8yr son even liked it so much, he said it should be a Sunday thing with us. My husband loved it so much we went back after 2 weeks!!! This is the new spot for us now.

I should have looked at Yelp first!! Anything below 4 stars is suspect to me. Big menu with all the normal Bbq choices.
We had fried pickles for an appetizer, what we DID NOT eat is included in the photo, which was most of them. They were thick and cakey, and you could hardly see, much less taste, the pickle.
I ordered the combo platter which had all of their meat: beef, pork, ribs and chicken. The pork was good and moist, the white meat chicken was dry, the ribs were dry and any time you get brisket and it is chopped.... well you know you better run.
They have a whole bunch of original sauces and I tried original, chipotle and honey. They were all solid sauces, although on the runny side.
The combo platter was shared by my son and me. It came with two sides which were extraordinary and what got this place 3 stars. He had Mac-n-cheese which was creamy and cheesy. I had the fresh fried corn, which was juicy and sweet.
When I noticed there was no salt on any table I asked about it, and was told they had already taken all of them off the tables because they were closing (in about an hour). That could explain why the meat was dry.
I would probably give them another shot.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We appreciate you reaching out about your visit, Steve. Everything from your brisket to the fried pickles should've been delicious, so we're disappointed if we fell short of our usual standards. This doesn't sound like a typical experience, and we'd be happy to look into this for you. Feel free to reach out to us at management@williamsonbros.com so we can have a direct way to contact you, and we hope to have you back for a better meal in the future.
Best,

It was good!!!
This was not my first rodeo at Williamson Bros. But I never had the chicken strips before.... huge!
We decided to go out for ribs, I really like the mom and pops restaurants but I could not turn down this place. I ended up ordering the combination platter with 2 meats, so I ordered the bone ribs and chicken tenders and lost focus of the reason we came by eating the tenders.-lol! The ribs were equally amazing.... not a huge crowd on a Tuesday evening so the serve was fast and good... how can we not come back!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Jul 5, 2021
Another awesome experience for Williamson Bros. This was my first time at this location and it did not disappoint. They have fresh cut fries that are great to complement the bbq. I had the pork sandwich and it was flawless. The baked beans are a must when you come here. Their desserts looked incredible. Service was great and I will definitely be back here if I'm in the area again.

Chicken was gummy in some areas and dry in others. No char. Seems like all their food we had (pork, chicken) was smoked with raw type consistencies instead of the BBQ like we desired.
Everything needed seasoning. Mashed potatoes tasted like unseasonsed potato skin. Mac n cheese was worse than KFC. Corn fritters had nothing going on.
Everything just bland. I've eaten better at senior centers when volunteering.
Only great part was our server.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brennen O.Fort Carson, CO8441May 20, 2021
Work has me in town for a couple months, and I figured I'd try all the food around here. Williamson Bros is the only place I've been 2-4 times a week. Burgers, brisket, pulled pork, banana pudding. All just great. Ordered a hamburger today, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to come like a Big Mac, but I'm okay with this.

Alex our server was awesome. We came in about an hour before closing, something we as service industry alumni hate to do. But hey, ya gotta eat...
Sides were all excellent, pulled pork was great and in large portions. The ambience was very wholesome and the way bbq joints are supposed to be. Sweet tea on point!
I wish I could have tried all of their meats. Thanks Alex for the hospitality!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 18, 2018
As far as BBQ joints go, one can generally determine the good from the bad by trying pulled pork, ribs and brisket. Driving through Douglasville on an empty stomach, this was the stopover between Birmingham and Atlanta.
Did not have an opportunity to try the ribs or the brisket, but if the pulled pork was the way it was, I don't think a return visit would be worthwhile. The bun for the pulled pork sandwich was the typical "sunbeam" type synthetic attempt at bread. Then again, what can you ask for under 5 bucks? The pulled pork itself was alright considering the very reasonable price paid, but dry. The sour nature of the sauce was not to my taste at all, but perhaps someone would enjoy it. Sauce aside as a personal preference, the sandwich was nothing to return here for.
As far as service, it was a very quick preparation for a to go order and the folks were attentive. Then again, I was the only one here with 3 waitresses and cooks, so hard to judge what it would have been like on a busy night.
Not necessarily a bad stopover given limited other options, but not a great representation of the southern BBQ culture either.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Alex, we appreciate you making us a part of that long drive. That said, it's too bad our pulled pork didn't leave you with a better impression. We aim to serve up some of Georgia's best bar-b-q bites, and feedback like this can only help us to be even better moving forward. We hope you might give us another shot in the future -- our brisket is sure to give you plenty to rave about.

I came from out of town and was looking for a good southern BBQ spot. I looked through Yelp and came across this place. The 3 1/2 stars didn't seem great but I decided to try it anyway and I was so happy I did. I ordered the half slab baby back ribs platter and it came with a ton of food. The ribs were smothered in a delicious BBQ sauce that had a vinegar taste to it. I definitely recommend this place.
