My go to tanning salon for the last few years. I go out of my normal commute to come here because they have the best booths around. The owner as well as her employees are very personable.

Tanned here for years. Spent hundreds on packages. I always buy packages of tans rather than monthly service because I travel a lot. Well I have many unused tans and I guess I won't be getting any refund on them. Place closed up shop without any notice or refunds. So aggravated.

This place had me pay a down payment for their monthly package of $40.07 plus a tax on August 1st than charged me for their monthly service plus tax of $54.99 on August 2nd and sign a 3 month commitment only to close their doors 20 days later. I only got to use 2 visits from my package after paying $94 because of their impromptu shut down. No Notice, No consideration and stole my money, My bank had to shut down my card and reissue a new one which I had to pay $12 to have this overnight-ed to me because of their continued fraudulent charges. Would never do business with this place again such a scum move.

      First to Review

I went here last night for the first time, I've been trying out some "local" tanning spots since I just moved to the area (they are all 15-20 minutes away, hense "local").

      - Friendly Staff - I just realized, when looking at the hours, that we went in RIGHT before closing. The girl at the desk did not hint towards that at all, and took her time explaining all of the packages and options, and helped me pick out lotion based on my price range. Many other tanning salons' employee's would've been very aggitated by someone wanting to buy a package, ask questions, etc. right before closing! She was very, very nice - she even made sure to show me how to use the bed; thank goodness! Because it was the most high tech bed I've been in. Which brings me to my next point:

      - High End Beds: I've been tanning for over 10 years. Most salon's don't keep up with new bed technology... these are the nicest beds I've seen - all of them! They don't just have one nice bed, they are all nice and new!

      - Price: The price is a little higher than I would like, but considering what you are getting for the price, i'd say there is value in it! The staff is great, the place is immaculately clean, and the beds are awesome.

I will definitely be making this my new tanning spot!!

So disappointed. And a little grossed out.
I am very pale and want a base before I go to the beach next month because I burn very easy. I found this salon online. Looked really nice and the website said that they offer a free tan:
"First Time Customers Always Get Their First Tan Free In Level 1 - Mention Our Website for Your Free Tan"
That's important to me because I don't like booths that get too hot and I don't want to buy an expensive package for a booth I don't like.
So I went there and explained my skin to the girl and asked for her recommendation for which booth would be best for me. Then I asked about the free session. She agreed that new customers get one. So I got a packet of lotion and a pair of goggles and when I went to pay it came to almost $50! I asked why if my first visit was free and she said it is only free if I buy a package.
If that is the case, she should have said that when I asked and it should have said that on the website. Then I noticed on the description of the booth she recommended says that it is for someone who already has an established tan. Not someone pale like me who burns easily. It also happens to be the most expensive booth they have. Coincidence?
So I picked the booth based on the descriptions posted, not on the receptionists recommendation. Then I paid for it. I didn't want to argue with a teenager who was doing what she was told.
So I go into the booth and tan. Forgot to use my new packet of expensive lotion, woops. And when I put my head down on the Plexiglas "pillow" it broke under my head, jabbing me with sharp plastic. I was very lucky that it didn't cut me. When I came out of the booth, I showed the girl what happened and barely got an apology.
About 24 hours after my session, I started noticing a rash breaking out on my torso. Over the next 2 days it has gotten worse. Since I forgot to use my new lotion, I know it was from the bed because I haven't been exposed to anything else new in months. So grossed out thinking what could have been in the be to cause it.
I will never go here again.

Wicked Tans is by far the best salon in the area. They have high quality beds and a great selection of lotions (something in every single price range). The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and unlike at other salons in the area, they NEVER pressure you into buying lotions. They also always offer monthly specials and post specials to their FB page. I recommend this salon to everyone I know, because the results you get there are amazing and they treat their clients so well!

She stole our money. Incomprehensible and unethical. Up and closed the doors without any attempt to return what she owed us. There's probably nothing we can do because she'll claim bankruptcy. Shame on taking money from people, knowing you were failing.

This was a great place...until they sold me another package less than a week before they up and closed the place down without any warning. Disgusting that they could do that to people they have been seeing face to face every week for years!

I was a loyal customer here for years, and they knew me by name when I walked in. I went in to tan on Saturday, August 27th, no complaints. Everything seemed fine, the girls that worked there were as friendly as ever (like they always were). I go to tan on Monday, August 29th, and get to the door to see leasing signs posted in the windows and a "Wicked Tans is no longer open, sorry for the inconvenience" sign posted on the door. Not only was I confused, but I was angered knowing they did not give notice to their customers. I had about a weeks worth of tanning left in my "Wicked Tans Club" membership (which, must I mention, is NOT cheap) that I could have used that have now been wasted AND I have not been refunded for. I was so concerned knowing they closed and had my debit card number on file for the auto renewal of my membership. I had to call my bank to try and put a stop payment on Wicked Tans. Unfortunately, the bank was unable to do so and had to send me a whole new debit card. Talk about a huge inconvenience for me. Wicked tans deleted their facebook within a day and no longer have a website. Thanks for making your customers aware of closing Wicked Tans and Diana Sabatini (owner). You really fooled us all this time, keeping us in the dark and running with our money!

      Updated review

I'm totally disgusted by this place!! I've gone here for years and spent hundreds of dollars. I stopped going for about a year because their machine was malfunctioning and I ended up with 1 half of my body tanned....They insisted it was fixed, so I started going again. I just signed up for 7 Mystic tanning sessions, which amounted to wel over $100.00. I got one free for spending that amount. There was not even the slightest hint of a problem, or that they were closing up shop. They stole my money and from the sounds of it, I'm certainly not alone. I would recognize this woman if I saw her around town and if I do, I will be sure to mention to her and anyone around me, that she is a thief!! Shame on her!! Ironically, I was planning to get a spray on tan today and I called up and got a recorded message, stating only that they were helping another customer. I went online to see what their hours were and saw all these messages. I just can't believe it. What a horrible woman.
