I stopped in to pick up a dozen oysters and was happy to see their variety and my favorites fully stocked. I couldn't wait until their 12/$12 Amazon Prime deal today they offer on Fridays for seafood and it was well worth it! It's a perfect excuse to plan a nice dinner on a Friday and showcase some delicious seafood. As a Prime member, you scan a barcode on your app to get a dozen oysters for a dollar a piece.
Service is always great here! Never too long of a wait for anything at this counter. I feel terrible I didn't catch her name, but she's always attentive the times I've been here. They happily shuck my oysters and I always stop by their antipasta bar and browse their cheeses for a chacuterie board while I wait.
I'm in love with this store from all the health stuff they offer to their hot bar. I've come in here just for lunch at the hot bar and had an excuse to take fresh bread home and a pizza for my kiddos. I could spend hours and my paycheck easily. Lol Oh and don't forget they do cakes. Family bought me a birthday cake from here a few years ago and I would eat it again.
Thanks to the friendly staff at the seafood section here. It's always been a pleasure to come here and effieciently pick up my favorites for my special dinners I host at home. Don't forget Whole foods on your next home party or special date nights in.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Today Kami made my sandwiches. Last visit Elizabeth made them. Consistency is key and you guys deliver every time! I customized my sandwiches a bit and they were very happy to assist and most importantly they made me feel like family.
That being said there is a lot of sandwich competition here in Reno. This is definitely my Top 3. These sandwiches were made with love and care. Excellent job ladies, continue to have fun at work, it truly shows.
The sandwiches are a bit more pricey than others you can find in town so if you're not picky on freshness and quality try something cheaper. If you are picky, go to Whole Foods. Excellent quality and worth every penny! I can eat a lot and I could not finish my sandwich. It's a good full, not a bloated full either.Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

This review is for the Pizza Counter specifically.
The pizza here is amongst the best in town as far as the quality of the dough, toppings, etc.
The main issues I run into here are the employees who must be on a rotating basis. Sometimes their helpful and friendly, other times their cagey and combative.
Today I wanted to buy a whole pizza they had sitting there already sliced, and was told I couldn't buy the whole pizza, that was on the deck, he would have to make a new one, which would be 30 minutes.
So I bought 2/3 of the pizza, and paid the same as if I bought the whole thing. Also, I had my son with me, so I could have sent him over to buy the other 2 slices if I really wanted pay extra to have the whole pizza.
For reference, I've bought whole pizzas off "The Deck" in the past, many times, no problem.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 6, 2024Updated review
I hardly go to Whole Foods but since I was in the neighborhood. I decided to drop to try their readymade, hot breakfast items. I got a little to-go box of chilaquiles, scrambled eggs and sausages. The eggs were great; nice and fluffy, the chilaquiles were good and the sausages were alright, a bit too dry for my liking. The serving/cashier was friendly enough and the total cost of my to-go-takeaway was less than $10; that's cheaper than fast-food now-a-days. So, overall, my initial experience with their pre-made breakfast station was good; hopefully, they'll have a better variety in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Myrna. We appreciate you stopping by and hope to welcome you back son. Have a wonderful day!
Apr 9, 2022Previous reviewIt's been a while I first visited this store. I liked that have a huge selection of prepared items, and an eclectic selection of organic food, plus a variety of not so common grocery items. The cashiers seem really laid back and nice. Will definitely warrant another visit some day.

My son loves apples! I can't keep him away from the apples at any grocery store. When we were at Whole Foods, my son grabbed an apple and accidentally dropped it. I wasn't going to put a bruised apple back away, so I put it in a bag and was ready to purchase it along with the rest of my groceries. After the cashier rung up my apple, my son asked for it & I gave it to him. Then the cashier asked, "Is the apple for your son?" Me, "Yes!" Then she mentioned that kids get a complimentary fruit and removed the apple from our total. Very kind of her!!

An overdue update!
We still come here on Fridays for our Oysters fix! See pictures.
Then combine that with Happy Hour (HH)!!
Quality/Quantity -
Today we got the following oysters: Kumamoto, Blue Point, Cotuit, Chebooktook. All of which was good. Actually, we way over ordered today and had a very hard time finishing.
Salmon Cobb Salad - Generous portions, and $2 off during HH.
Side of fries - Okay; this alone filled me up. Very peppery, and I mean that in a good way.
Today's Beers:
New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Atomic Pumpkin - Hello Octoberfest! What a great way to start this break.
Able Baker Atomic Duck beats New Belgium Dark Ale - Will be back in LV in early 2024, hope to see you there.
Has the menu expanded since the last time we were here? See picture.
Atmosphere - Crazy busy on Fridays, so get here early!! Actually don't, so I can get here early without you all, LOL.
Service - 6 stars, Abby and the team did a good job.
They all work so hard on Fridays. Well I am sure the other days also, but I only come to the TAP room on Fridays.
HH $1 off beers or wine, and $2 off bar bites.
Price - $51 + tip. This was supposed to be a snack... No way I'm eating dinner now! Oh and after leaving, I forgot to do my grocery shopping, LOL.
Owner Suggestion - Congrats on all your success since 1980. I have watched you evolve since 1989 when you first came to Palo Alto, CA. to what you are today!! Keep up all the good work.
2017 - Amazon acquired. Please keep working on lowering all your prices. :)Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 0Dec 22, 2021Previous review12/14/21
Ok, maybe I am visiting Whole Foods too often?
Today was the first time I entered through the other door and am so glad I did.
As a typical shopping guy, I usually go in to get what I need and leave.
This location has a TAP room! Similar to the Whole Foods in Fremont and Santa Clara.
Last visit to Whole Food Fremont, beers were only $5 each.
Last visit to Whole Food Santa Clara, they had beer specials for $2!!!!! Guess the keg was about to expire????
Quality/Quantity - Fresh and fully in stock
Atmosphere -
Tap Room!!
$6-$9 a beer for 12-20 ounces.
Happy hour $1 off beers and some food discounts on different days.
Friday Special = 12 oysters for $12
Indoor dining
Outdoor dining
Ok, clean bathrooms
Coffee station
Deli - Grill, sandwiches, pizza
Japanese deli - sushi
Cheese station
Nice huge liquor department
Amazing meat, seafood and produce dept
Service -

Price - This place is nicknamed "Whole Paycheck" for a reason; but you get what you pay for.
Owner Suggestion - Keep up the good work. Amazon, you need to keep working on lowering prices. - 744917Mar 5, 2024
Everyone thinks that Whole Foods is so expensive, but if you look for their 365 brand and if you have Amazon Prime, you can get some screaming deals. Plus it just has a nice feel to it. You can go in for lunch, get sushi, or pizza or a burger. You can grab a beer or a glass of wine to sit and sip or take with you shopping. The staff is always friendly and willing to help you find what you are looking for. I love that their fish and meats are sustainably sourced and they have a huge variety of cheeses. Funny, but things like their garlic bulbs are bigger, fresher and just better than what you find at most other grocery stores. Frozen veggies, also very comparable in price. So, if you haven't been in awhile, I would check it out.

I was looking for a supplement that I had been getting online. Jauna was a great help to me. She is very knowledgeable about these products. She looked up the ingredients of the product that I had been using. She found a couple of supplements that are comparable to what I was taking. Whole Foods was out of the main product but gave me great information on how to get it. Juana is an asset to the Whole Foods organization.

It's great to have a Whole Foods in the Reno area. I have shopped here quite a few times and it is clean, well stocked, and whenever I get anything from the butcher or the seafood department, everyone is friendly, helpful and well knowledgeable.
This is definitely one of the better Whole Foods Markets.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Stopped by for a few groceries and decided to get lunch at their bar. I tried the Tempe lettuce sandwich and it was delicious. Too big to eat all in one sitting so will take the rest home for lunch tomorrow. I asked for salad but got fries instead but those were also pretty good. Service was relatively quick and friendly... when they brought the food they asked if we needed any refills.
