Good prices and always helpful. Even when we lived across town we would come back here for the service.

Terrific products & service! They made a replacement key for my truck very quickly & at 75% cheaper than the Ford dealer, who said it would take 3 hours. Whitley did it in 25 minutes (takes time because the key had to be computer programmed to my truck). Very knowledgeable & friendly staff. You can trust them with anything to do with keys, locks, and safes.

Extremely helpful, friendly folks. Took the time to find a key that would fit the lock on a 100 year old violin case. And priced reasonably. Highly recommend them.

Moved across country and of course misplaced the keys to our fire safe that has the birth certificate needed to register the child for school. I looked everywhere I could think of, no keys. So I called Whitley's and the gentleman on the phone said to bring it in for a look. When I arrived, the same gentleman took the safe and tried to cut a new key based on the type and size of the lock but it did not work, so he just picked the lock real quick. The day was saved and I have the documents I need. He also said to call Sentry with the serial number on the inside of the safe and they may be able to send me a new set of keys for it. Great service, very helpful, I'll return if I need more lock help.

I had lost the key to my bike holder that I purchased from Volkswagen. The dealership said I could not get a replacement key or lock because the part was discontinued. I went to three other locksmiths in town and they didn't provide a quarter of the effort and service I got from Whitley, maybe because of the challenge to create a new key for it with not much info on the lock to begin with. The staff was super friendly and successfully created a new key for it. Awesome service!

There comes a time, in every man's life, when he can no longer depend on the key scanning/imaging/cutting technology at a "local" (national chain) hardware store, and must lean on the expertise and experience of a locksmith who has honed his skill in his trade for decades upon decades.
That time came for this man (that's me) last week, when a copy of a copy of a copy of a key no longer functioned properly in a normal lock at a client's house. As you can imagine, when you're planning to sell a house, this isn't a good scenario.
En route from one appointment to the next, I happen upon Whitley's Lock & Safe. I call to make sure they're open (locksmiths are notorious for having a store that they're never at because the money is in the mobile service) and sure enough, they're there!
There are two lock-and-key geniuses working behind the counter, and one of them asks how he can help me. I explain my situation and within a few minutes I have two - not one - but two custom copied keys. One is an exact replica of the key I brought in, and the other is raised .015 (fifteen thousandths) to adjust for (get this) AGE. The lock, the key, they've worn down over time, but this copy - well this copy is like the long-lost-never-used-before clone!
Needless to say the identical copy just didn't work. The age-adjusted key worked like a champ. Totally saved us, and my clients were pretty impressed, too. Do you think your local hardware store could've done that?
Didn't think so.
I'll be back.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - J M.Fort Belvoir, VA638Apr 23, 2018
Called a few places, yes found a couple that were a tiny bit cheaper but Whitley's had the best customer service! Dave was who I spoke to over the phone and he was very helpful. Can't remember the name of the man that came out and unclocked my car but he was also very friendly and professional. The entire process took under 5 minutes. I will definitely recommend this place!

They did a great job rekeying locks for a recently purchased home in San Antonio. Going from needing three keys for three locks (two different brands) to one key for everything is a blessing! The technician was prompt, courteous and knew what he was doing! Thanks!
