Whitey's Diner

If you're in Freemont you have to stop here! One of the better Dinners I've been to, and you better bring an appetite. The burger may have been a half cow, and was a great dinner burger and the fries were as good. Nothing beats Mark the Cheff/Owner, he was awesome as were Every One that came in and he heeled out their names. You must sit at the bar where Mark is cooking up the tons of food as this place is nonstop busy. You walk in with a tie and you're asking for it. Great food but the people are even better.

Great food, great service. What an American diner experience should be. Pancakes are exceptional. The Bubba omelette is enough to feed a family of 4.

Took Dad out for breakfast today. Chose Whitey's Diner in Fremont. We went late in the morning (10:30 - 11), hoping it would be empty. Wrong! We got one of the few tables in the diner.

Whitey's is not much to look at, but the food is amazing, portion size is quite generous, and the prices are very fair for the price paid.

If you leave this establishment and you are still hungry, there's something wrong in your equation.

Very friendly staff. We were warmly greeted when we walked in, and we were thanked on our way out. Small-town hospitality at it's finest!

I highly recommended Whitey's if you are looking for a classic diner serving great food

Absolutely disgusting. As I'm eating I watch the cook grab raw bacon with his bare hands, then grab a to go container, then cheese,then his phone and talk on the phone, and then back to grabbing raw bacon. Never once washing or sanitizing his hands. I wonder how many people are getting sick. The cook either lacks basic food handling knowledge or just doesn't care.

YUM! If you want quick, hot delicious REAL food, stop at this little gem!!! Took one bite of their potatoes and was instantly transported back to Sunday morning breakfast being cooked by my dad. YUUUUMMMMM!!!!

Visited Whitey's for the first time. I was looking for a hometown feel place for breakfast. I walked in and immediately knew I made the right choice. Greeted by friendly smilingly faces. Portions were huge.
The place impressed me so much, I took my clients there after their meeting.
Next time I'm in Fremont, I will be back.

Fast service. Food was good. Small place with nice people old dinner style cost was were I thought it should be

Pretty bad. Anytime a restaurant boasts about "not doing it your way" you know the experience is going to be pretty poor. Fair prices and good coffee...everything else is bad. Home fries and bacon were extremely undercooked. Even the eggs were so so and its really hard to mess up scrambled eggs. In addition to the food, this was the loudest restaurant I've ever been in. You couldn't even have a conversation at the table because the other patrons were so loud. Easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

Well worth the detour off of I-80. Stopped here on a cross-country road trip and would definitely make a point to return in the future. One of those treasured local diners where the food, people, and atmosphere have that undeniable personality that comes with history. I sat at the counter shoulder to shoulder with devoted loyal customers and ate something called the Trash Potatoes, which was incredible. Get the Trash Potatoes. Do not eat at some service plaza fast food chain. Go to Whitey's.

Their sausage has NO flavor! None. No spice, salt,pepper or sage. Tastes terrible! All their food isn't really all that good. Bland or soggy and greasy. Will not ever go back! Find someplace else to go eat. The place down the called " Billy's" which is related to this place is just as bad.

Any place with orange Formica tables is THE place for breakfast! Get coffee. They grind their own beans so it tastes really fresh. We both got 2 eggs with wheat toast and bacon, pretty standard breakfast fare. But don't plan on 2 little pieces of bacon with your over easies. We got like six slices each. Also DO NOT skip the home fries! Perfectly sliced, browned and one order is enough for 4 people. Service was great. We got there Saturday morning at 10 & got the last open seats. After that there was a continuous line. If you have any reason on earth to be in Fremont OH, have breakfast at Whitey's!
