Dr Engel is the best! He repaired retina tears in both my eyes 6 years ago, and has been keeping my eyes healthy ever since. He is VERY knowledgeable and skilled, has all kinds of equipment onsite, and takes the time to answer all questions and concerns. Having problems with your eyesight is very scary, and I always feel confident that Dr Engel provides the best possible care.

I have been "seeing" Dr. Engel for a number of years now. He is a superb eye doctor and retinal surgeon. I mostly go for annual checkups but over the years I have had two torn retinas. He fixed them both with precision. He may not be the most personable eye doctor out there but his work is fabulous and he doesn't waste your time.

My belief is go to an MD to get my eyes checked as ive had uneven experiences at Optical Shops. Let's face it the business model is sell eyeglasses so testing eyesight is an add on. I've decided to go to Dr Engel and buy my lenses at Costco (they are the nations largest optical shop)

I learned much more about my eye health. For instance. Itchy eyes ani issue? Take Zyrtec and wash your hair at night. Smart prevention tips Dr Engel took time and didn't rush throwing the exam.

if you have allergies for instance) Im impressed with Dr Engel, he didn't rush me. I'll be back next year.

Dr. Engel is a terrific ophthalmologist. He always takes time to answer questions, review history and listen to concerns. I need to go to see him every six months and find his matter of fact manner reassuring. He always a few minutes to catch up with what is happening. The front people are always welcome and personable. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Dr. Engel for years! He is easygoing, punctual, efficient and has a great sense of humor. Plus, #duh he has Sunday office hours...in New York City?! Score.

Excellent Doctor. He is thorough, detailed, and explains what is going on. He is very calm, which allows you to feel relaxed. I would highly recommend Dr. Engel.

My optomologist had retired and I was anxious to find one as good as he was, especially as I have been diagnosed with the beginning of macular degeneration. Dr. Engel was recommended to me by my podiatrist, an equally good doctor.

I find Dr. Engel to be an excellent and knowledgeable physician. In addition, he has a way of explaining the diagnosis in a way that is easy to understand. He has a compassionate personality and a good sense of humour. He put me at ease and I am grateful to have found him.

Also, his front office people are on the ball. I've recently had to go to several doctors and nearly left one practice because the staff at the desk were so rude and not very engaged with the patients. The staff here reflects Dr. Engel's professionalism.

Dr. Engel is terrific, his staff is nice and efficient. My first visit there was an on-time, pleasant experience.

Dr. Engel is excellent, very responsive and a compassionate medical professional. The UWS office location is very convenient and his staff is accommodating and pleasant. Highly recommend.
